About Stacker
A challenging arcade game which entails stacking moving blocks up the screen. As levels increase, the blocks move faster. If you fail to stack up the screen, you lose one of the three lives you begin with! There are power ups which can help you along the way:
- Heart: extra 3 lives
- Turtle: reduced block speed
- Coins: 50 extra points
- Up Arrow: go directly to the next level

This game feeds a hunger I never knew I had. While modern specs and stylish polygons enthrall one's senses from the moment the first block is laid, the "nicotine" of Stacker is its care-free, fun-first approach to virtual tower building. Some may question pg's seemingly sudden departure from his tried and true formula of Costanza safe cracking games (best exemplified in the 2009 break-out hit "4D10T")- and long time fans may shake their heads at this turn for more photorealistic graphics and fluid ingame physics- but it is in Stacker that we see the true heart of pg's genius. This game has everything early pg games strove to achieve- mind bending graphics, rich textures, and- lest we forget- an unforgettable cast of characters. I myself fell into immediate cardiac arrest after being first introduced to the uproarious antics of Larry, the Time Slowing Tortoise. While I am sure future scholars will write volumes on the hidden genius of this game, I will close with the following: If, while playing Stacker, we accept ourselves as Icarus- striving high to reach the thrones of the gods- it is obvious that pg, inconquerable creator of this masterwork, must be the sun. 4 stars.
