A truly amazing roguelike game and experience. This developer knows what it takes to make a great game. This is also one of the few I've paid to remove the ads. The developer more than deserves it.
Range weapons suck. Half the time I cant get anywhere because the first battle I get into takes half my health. The spells suck as well. Cant get past level 2. The guy keeps teleaporting and healing. Wasted the last hour trying to get him. Not worth it.
Ive never, EVER have paid before to remove adds, and normally I wouldnt, but I removed them to support the developer of this game, its possibly my favorite game thus far on mobile, and better than many games on consoles. I'm super enthusiastic about this game, i love it's constant updates, kudos to the developer. If you could, could you add some sort of summoning tool that uses mana to summon allies? If not, totally ok, i don't regret paying even a little, thank you for developing such a great game! Well, I've also never commented on a game, but this one is totally worth it, I love the mind behind it , and the commitment, the updates always make it fresh and new, 10/10 better then even computer strategy games
Great roguelike, takes a fresh idea without bypassing the genre... Scratches all the right itches! Just a small update, the developer really stays on top of this game ensuring that it stays balanced and fun! Even after a year of playing, I find the game interesting and challenging. Kudos for a really fresh and inventive game!
Really challenging rogue like. Highly recommended. A few notes to the creator: Noticed there's an armor that keeps your stuff with the revive crystal, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the armors. You sacrifice the other armor utililties that would keep you from dying to choose something that relies on you dying, and is rare and limited. also I'd prefer if you changed all the elemental guns to ammo types like the bow and grenade launcher has, such as Incendary rounds and Armor Peircing rounds, and even shock rounds or something. That way you can simplify the weapons detail pages and still allow multiple types of damage.
I thought it was just bad pictures. 1980 video games have better quality graphics. Played a few games with add banner but in this game they flash and change size. Actually quite distracting.
Love this game. Very addictive. I'm looking forward to the new cave types. One thing though... it went nuts the first time I ran it when at full res on the Note 8. Seems ok now.
Player bound to 4 directions for attacking, whereas enemies have full use of 8 directions. So, you get hit diagonally by enemies, but it is not allowed for the Player. Seriously?
Loving this game, especially the upgrades. Something to show for my endless, stupid deaths :D
Ads flood the screen at every menu. One at launch or a closeable fullscreen one every once in a while is one thing but ads millimeters away from buttons you need to press on every single menu is overkill. For the developer: I don't expect you to work for free but bombarding every menu with ads is simply a bad way to do it. It's doubly frustrating when the banners are literally boarding menu buttons making accidental presses inevitable. For those not sure what I mean look at the first screenshot, that space below the menu is taken by banner ads. That and every screen but gameplay has that space filled with ads. The inventory, tutorials, main menu, all of them shots banner ads.
Love it, already killed almost 20 hours(not in a row). If you like the genre, there is no reason to hesitate...
this is a good game, but can you add some more variety to the cave environment? like a lava cave or ice cave or something?
Fantastic. It's hard. You play, you die, then you put another quarter in. Just great. It takes me back to the 80's arcade
Sorry but I enjoyed pixel dungeon much more feels like you tried to steal their gameplay to me
Thank you developers for such an amazing game,It's been so long since I found a good game like this
Decent rougelike rpg, played about 2 hours and its fun so far, its a logical progression from pixel dungeon
Challenging, enjoyable rogue like. The one that I was searching for all along. Loved it. Thanks, Dev.
Moving with a dpad and automaticaly mine a wall when you move toward it would be nice.
Fun and frustrating game
Really enjoyed this game
Dont know how to reply soooo, how rare are armor blueprints? From what i can tell there is a 1/5 chance of finding one on the acid caves, ive been no deeper because i suck at the game (ive died too many times to count)
I love it I just wish I had a D-pad option because at times it's really easy to miss tap and step in traps or blow myself up
I liked the concept and the new update features... :) Such an awesome game and recommend it to everyone!!!!!!
Y I no dwonlaod tsih sonore ti's so adidictev..
Bit hard this one
Excellent Rogue-like game with unique features, excited to see new updates and content. 100% recommended
Average game, but I'd like more opportunities to upgrade between play throughs
Excellent at sucking you in for hours of fun and frustration! You sir, are an artist. A tiny request, if I may? Something to spend my ludicrous amounts of gold on please? Skins, bells and whistles, etc.
Great game. Hugely addictive. Want to fault it because I'm so frustrated that I have just lost everything after a huge run but I just can't do it. That's how these things work. Only game I've kept for a while. Forums? Tips and tricks? Would be helpful.
Takes a while to get into, but there's a fair bit of depth to this game. Dark/low contrast at makes it hard to play in bright conditions.
Well uh, i liked roguelike game from a long time, and currently this is my favourite. Can't blame anything if you die here, only your luck, skill, and judgement. Would love it if the resurrection thingy can be upgraded by bringing it back to base or something, and it will keep your item when you die. Overall an excellent game.
A brilliant roguelike for mobile devices, Caves has great controls, fantastic visual effects, and a unique challenge.
I have been playing this game for a while now, and its still fun. Its a keeper, and it gets updated frequently, nice one dev ;) One thing though, please please please add more maps - like a lava level & icy level, and say every 10 floors is a bonus level, maybe with a hidden super powerful badass boss.
Gave 4 stars at first. But then I unlocked the little nod to Wolverine. 5 stars, baby! But, seriously, this is an excellent game. If you understand what "roguelike" means and enjoy such games, you owe it to yourself to download this gem. The negative reviews and gripes people have with this game are exactly what makes it a damned ROGUELIKE!! Those people didn't understand what they were downloading. Permanent death, inventory loss and such are staples of the genre. If those elements were changed, than it wouldn't be a roguelike game anymore. You are meant to play, unlock a thing or two, die and start again being just a little bit better than the last playthru. Those people wouldn't have been able to handle the original Rogue game. Which is where the term "roguelike" originates. And all these people making jackass requests to add nonsense. The dev seems to have a very firm grasp of where he wants his game to go. As a game designer/programmer myself, I know how annoying that can get. The only suggestion that I agreed with was when some one advised health/energy refill upon leveling up. That one is reasonable. Every other one I saw was stupid, in my opinion. 36dev, you're kicking ass as it is, bro. Just continue what you're doing and the real fans who know what's what will stick with you.
When I somewhat understood how to progress through the game, hp still remains pain in the butt. Whats worse is that I was so happy to have found home portal, but then it just serves as a hp/energy regen and buy some home items. Scrapping gears dont really get you much. I was expecting to store some items at home and also decide which level to go, but was not possible. My heart is broken...and is hesitant to continue another life in Caves.
Took me a few play deaths to fully understand how it plays. It's definitely a fun twist to the pay it forward style death system and I do forget a lot if what I might need next play through but that's my memories fault. Truly a gem of a game ;)
