Since the last update im giving Apex another chance since in the early times it was my favorite launcher. It feels snappy, uses low memory and has lots of customization (even though still not as much as Nova). Setting custom icon for folders and keeping apps in custom drawer tabs while also being in a folder would be nice. Plus the possibility to have apps in multiple folders. For now I'd rate it 4.5*.

I have to give this launcher a 5. I've been using it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for three years now, and all I can say is that thanks to this launcher I've achieved great simplicity and very easy use, quick and smooth, with a nice appearance, making my experience with the phone much better, with a clarity I don't find in many people's phones, thanks to this launcher. If you like simplicity and efficacy, enhancing your daily use of your phone, I highly recommend that at least you try this one for a while, it's worth it, it really changes the outlook and the functionality, making it better. In days I will get a new phone, and I will install Apex Launcher and maybe keep the same theme or look for a similarly simple and nice one. If I have some issue with the new phone, I will send you feedback. I rarely comment on apps I use, but this one has been so central and important for my phone that I thought I should show some gratitude. Update: Using it for already a week in my new Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It works as great as always, flawlessly.

The launcher itself is great and easy to use. It has a variety of tools that are useful such as a soft lock button and ability to hide apps. However, the software made my phone's power button not work intermittently. It was not too frequent at first but got progressively worse. I thought it was my phone at first but after uninstalling Apex Launcher the problem went away completely.

Z70%
by Z####:

Good launcher with reasonable customization. Would be 4-5* if they can fix the "app not installed" error. Every now and then clicking on an app on the homescreen will result that error and the icon has to be replaced. Re: all apps are installed on the internal device storage. (no SD slot anyway)

I've used the launcher for a long time, it still feels great. But there's something wrong after upgrading to a new phone that runs Android Oreo: applications adding links in home screen, like Chrome, will say the link is added but no link appears. From what I've read, an API change is responsible, and many launchers need an update. Please fix.

It keeps zooming in on my wallpaper. So annoying. I'll set my picture and everything will look nice and presentable. But after a couple hours, it will blow the picture up to 2 or 3 times its size, making my wallpaper a potato-quality blur of pixels. Happens consistently.

Unlike Nava Launcher, I don't have to pay extra for what this amazing app has for free. I am able to hide my apps and disguise them as something else without money. There are no ads here. Now, I have a new format for my phone, and I love it!!

It could be four or five. Everything is great and easy to customize. One feature I don't see I don't know if it was overlooked this whole time or I'm blind to.enable whats already there? There is no search option while in the apps drawer to quickly find an app

We all change phones all the time but want to keep the same look and feel. Why on earth is it SO COMPLICATED and time consuming to back up and restore?? Why does it take 2 different back ups and restores? Why is it not done through messing around with SD cards back and forth and not automatically through a user account?? This app is stuck in 2010!! I must have wasted hours and hours with this.

Hey! Your launcher is the best of all. With no bloatware, popping ads and has an unlimited customizations. I like this launcher to the fact that this is very responsive. Even though your app is only less than 3mb in size, it still rules the other launchers. I hate those launchers that are delayed, annoying popping ads, bloatware apps installed, bemusing styles and unorganized app that it said auto-organize.

Updates: Reinstalled this and the notifier add ons which only allow very limited app being able to be notified of unread counts. Please learn from nova launcher and it's unlimited app unread notification counts. Previous review: I came back to see the progress of this paid app I owned but upset because it was abandoned since 2015.

It's a great app but i have the Samsung Music app and I accepted removed it from my home screen and now I can't put it back. I did the long press and press "widget" then "Music" and it keeps saying "No more room on the Home Page" The widget is 4x1 but i have bigger widgets that are 5x2 and it still works. I don't now what to do cause I need this widget. PLEASE HELP????????

Works good on my phone but terrible on tablet. I'm constantly having difficulty dropping apps into folders. Every time I drag an icon onto a folder the folder always moves to another position. No matter how slowly I try it keeps on happening. It's like Apex launcher has turned into a Cat and Mouse game, it's very frustrating. Unfortunately I'll have to uninstall it when I find a better alternative. ????

Great! Except 1 thing devs pls fix..... I installed an app after getting thid launcher and it did not shoe up. The only way to launch it was to go through the Play store. It fixed itself after I restarted the phone but just something to fix in the next update.

I'm editing my review and giving it 5 stars, am using it on my Google Pixel XL and it is great! The launcher is not a memory hog and it has a lot options to customize. The only criticism (and this is not a deal breaker) is there is no ability to automatically alphabetize icons that are in folders, the way Nova does it.

Used to love this but recently it's full of glitches. If I add a screen it disappears a soon as I move away from it. Widgets don't work properly or can't be added. Tried phone reboot and not working but other launchers are fine still.

It seems to crash a lot the past few months, and now all of a sudden it is trying to access the internet constantly. Not sure what's going on, but it's on the verge of becoming more annoying than useful.

This launcher allows me to make my home screen look nice and simple. It is missing a few features I would like, though: 1) Remove the white background that is behind app icons. (This can be gotten around by manually setting each app icon and finding the app's default icon in the file system, but is rather tedious.) 2) A dark mode for the settings screen. 3) A search bar for apps in the drawer. 4) An option to return the top of the drawer when it is closed and re-opened, rather than remembering previous scroll location. If these are implemented, it'll be just about perfect and I'll definitely buy the pro version.

by Z####:

Buy the Nova launcher. Just as good. Same price. Better value.I have been a fan of non original launchers for quite a while. I was pleasantly surprised by the many features of the Apex launcher which I really enjoyed. I usually use Nova launcher pro but due to stabilty issues with my Huawei P9 lite ( already resolved) I figured I would try the Apex Launcher. I enjoyed it so much I bought the Prime version for 3.99....BIG MISTAKE. With the Nova Launcher you buy it once and own it. If you get a new device you can download it again for free. Not the case with Apex. Even worse I did a reset on my phone and couldn't even download Apex on the device I actually purchased Prime from and for originally.... I would definitely highly recommend Nova over the Apex Launcher as obviously they stand by they're product as well as they're customers. Even windows allows users to reinstall they're products after providing a unique key. And we all know how picky they are.

J70%
by J####:

It is regretable that the app lacks support for notification count badges on app icons. It's otherwise well thought, feature rich and aesthetically pleasant app in many respects. The pro version offers a half baked and botched 4 year old option which is an utter shame in the face of this app's quality. If only a proper solution could be developed...

great concept poor executon. widgets tend to apply as ghost rectangles of nothingness. delete 2 of the 5 home pages, they dont actually delete, still there butinacessable, and the home button is totally confused. nexus 7 android 7.1.2. too bad as this has tons of options.

How do you disable the old hanging TW Launcher ? I think it has something to do with the " Unfortunately the process Android.process.acore has stopped " message which keeps popping up and hanging my phone. Can't seem to rectify it even after following all the advice given on the net. I am using Android 4.0.4. Might updating to a newer version correct this ?

I've been using this launcher for years and have yet to find a better one. It does seem like updates are dead, but I still recommend it. Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the Pro version is garbage. Just stick with the free version - for $4 I was seriously unimpressed with the "upgrades"

The vibe ui on my lenovo k5 plus was sluggish.. But apex has solved my problem.. Tons of free features to give my phone a new look without compromising on speed... This is almost on par with Nova launcher...

Apex Launcher is Excellent but after Android 8 update on my oneplus 3T Apex launcher is constantly crashing and I can't open it at all... Perhaps it needs to be patched for android 8 compatibility?!

Great launcher...But landscape mode does nt have seamless integration...it has black bottom buttons on instead of transparent ones.. Grid sizes also mess up on rotation

Long time user so know how great the app can be. Unfortunately with a recent update to Android on a Pixel based device to 8.0 (Oreo) theming has stopped working and the application simply crashes. Everything else seems to be working without fail.

I finally found the launcher that I am looking for. I can hide the apps that is not important and i can rename, change the icon of the app. I can lock the desktop. It is fast and no lag or delay at all. thanks to the developer, I'm going to buy pro to support you.

It is quite good although the problem is its not as good as nova launcher. I think nova launcher is better. It looks better + nova launcher has no addware and is quicker at a fast pace so ????apex and????????????????????????????nova

When I want to use hidden apps, first I have to unhide it, use it and again hide it... Its so annoying.. So please add some options to draw hidden apps with password to use it on tabs or somewhere.. Otherwise I love this APP...

I love this launcher. I use only simple apps for launchers and so far, none reach close to this. Suggestions: Remove the 'open drawer' button as in Pixel launcher and add a searchbox into the drawer, and this launcher would do everything that is needed. My sincere gratitude to the developers for providing this wonderful app free and without ads or bloats... Keep up the good work. ????

This app is the absolute bomb, but it just dawned on me that there is one thing that I would like added to its glorious featureset. Integration with the lock screen. (I know it's a home launcher, but hey a guy can dream right?) It would be so sweet if I could set 5 different lockscreen images and everytime I viewed the lockscreen it alternated between the images. This would help me because I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to that bg in particular and end up changing it once every few weeks. That's it — thanks!

This would be a good launcher but 3 of my widgets don't even show up on the home screen. Useless. Update: After a reboot, the widgets are now showing. Raised my rating from 1 star.

I like this launcher very well.. But the only thing missing for me is the option to have nougat arrow above the dock and be able to slide the app drawer up. That would be so much better for me and I'm sure others would appreciate it very much!!!

It's great except that some apps won't go into folders and stay there on the home screen. They just disappear. I don't like how folders can't be made in the app menu.

D70%

This app has served me well for a good few years. However, the backup and restore option is completely useless, as it doesn't actually save a backup to the SD card as it says it does. I lost all of my carefully picked out settings after restoring my phone. This could have been avoided had I been able to choose the location of my backups, like every other app with the feature, but such a simple thing has ruined my experience and I'm really unmotivated to redo all of it.

Been an avid & loyal Apex user since 2012, and I love it! Only problem I've EVER experienced just surfaced... My LG V10 just upgraded to Nougat / Android 7.0 today, and suddenly my "Menu Long Press" setting to launch Apex Menu no longer works. Please advise, and keep up the good work - thanks!

I've been using this launcher for I've been using this launcher for over 5 years now. Great launcher and very light on this system doesn't use as many permissions as most and I also like the different themes as well as keyboard. Great job guys please do not update it and screw it up like everybody else does LOL!!! No you guys have been real good all along thanks a lot much appreciated

Maybe I would have given it a proper try if it didn't eliminate and destroy my current home screen set up, what the hell? I wanted this app for its ability to lock icons, I don't want to have to completely reformat my phone screen icon set up, which would take at least half an hour dragging everything everywhere.
