Starfield (Live) Wallpaper

I like it: Simple, clean, understated. Now let's talk about spalling and apostrophe's. Oops, I mean spelling and apostrophes. Di'd yo'u kno'w tha't apostrophes shoul'd onl'y be use'd fo'r contractions an'd possessio'n? Did you know that for possession, they aren't used with pronouns? So that means no possessive her's, he's, they's, our's or it's. If you use it's or he's it indicates a contraction, not a possessive.

This wallpaper doesn't get old. It's great for my AMOLED screen, too. I love that it has lots of options. The colors are great and it's fun how the stars speed up when the home screen switched screens.

Fantastic, simple live wallpaper for smartphones.

Update: 3 stars.... Had to change from 5 stars to 3 stars; it doesn't appear to have been updated for a while. I'm using the Nvidia Shield now and thought surely this would work, but it doesn't. I was sooooo disappointed. ApeDroid, please update so I can use this again because I enjoyed it so very much; I really miss it! Old Review: 5 stars.... I wanted a wallpaper that didn't cast a lot of light into the room. I recommend this to all my fellow insomniacs. You just have to keep trying until you find what works for you. This works for me.

The stars do not look real, but do look like those from the Star Trek classic series. For me, that's a good thing. More importantly, while there is non-stop movement, app and bookmark icons really stand out and are easily seen. Also, nothing is better than a black background at night... no blue light which has been determined to interfere with sleep. No bells and whistles, but still with constant, simple motion. I've been using this wallpaper on every Android I've owned since Version 2.

Thanks man, just what I was looking for, works great on my phone. I love it because it works like it's supposed to, simple to operate, and isn't asking for permission for everything on your phone or overloaded with adds everywhere. Great work dude!

Can I get a half speed forward? Slow this down to cruising mode.

I wanted a wallpaper that didn't cast a lot of light into the room. I use it in conjunction with MortPlayer to play sleep-sounds (Julien Mulder "Fragments"). I recommend this to all fellow insomniacs. You just have to keep trying until you find what works for you. This works for me. I set the TV-timer for 90 minutes and I'm always asleep way before timer ends.

Basically a Star Trek viewport.. Works great.

Not typically a fan of 'live' wallpaper just due to battery consumption issues, but this is nice looking, unintrusive & nice contrast

Looks like it doesn't implement page flipping though (a common offscreen buffering technique for smoother animation).

Aww, so close to being perfect, but the laggy framerate keeps it from looking as good as it should. Good thing it wasn't perfect, so I had to make my own. :) Smooth Starfield (my own) doesn't have as many settings, but is also free without ads, requires no permissions, and has a buttery smooth framerate on my S2.
