Darüber hinaus vertritt der Verband die wirtschaftspolitischen Interessen seiner Mitglieder, engagiert sich stark in der Berufsbildung und pflegt das Image der Branche. Aktuelles Fachwissen liefern der Verlag édition gastronomique und das mehrsprachige GastroJournal, auflagenstärkste Wochenzeitung der Branche. GastroSocial, die verbandseigene Sozialversicherung, bietet Lösungen im Bereich von AHV, Pensionskasse und Familienausgleichskasse an. Die Gastroconsult AG unterstützt das Gastgewerbe mit einem Treuhand-Vollservice. Mit der Belvoirpark Hotelfachschule Zürich HF und der Ecole Hôtelière de Genève ES betreibt der Verband zwei Höhere Fachschulen.
