Xperia™ Transfer Mobile

Can't get this to work at all. Trying to move stuff between my SONY Z1 Compact and SONY XZs, both phones have a wi-fi connection but they won't pair!! Keeps getting "Connection Error, - an error occurred while trying to connect the devices." Not good enough Sony, this is supposed to be simple and painless :(

The pc installation of this was horrific an could not get it to work at all. Has taken me almost 3 hours to transfer my contacts over after several failed attempts through the cable method an pc transfer. Finally had success with the WiFi transfer. Disgusting app, would seriously look around for something more user Friendly.

Useless. Doesn't work unless I have the latest updates. Half my screen doesn't work on my work phone, and I would be fine if I didn't need to update it(because of the location of the buttons).why even make someone update a program? I can't see the logic.

App kept crashing when transferring data from icloud. I eventually got everything I wanted but took two days and about a dozen tries

Quick and easy to use. Due to a phone error my device was sent for repair several times in the last two months but thanks to this app I could always restore everything between the replacement and repaired phone.

It worked well for me. I transferred from a Z1 to an XZ premium. I used the NFC to connect. Just need to be patient for all the data to transfer - I left it overnight. There was one connection error. All came across to the new phone except contacts and messages. I reconnected with NFC and it went through the process more quickly and seemed to know not to redownload already transferred data. Contacts and old messages etc successfully completed second time. Saved a lot of time and re-entry.

App doesn't work. Uploaded all the content from the previous xperia on cloud and now I can't download the content as the app is on constantly drops out. It was supposed to be easy or I'm wrong?

The initial transfer worked partially using the wifi method, leaving media, calls photos and music to be transferred. I tried several times to transfer the remaining items but kept failing. By now my battery Level was low and this could have been the reason why all content was not transferred first time. I gave it another go which failed but on the 2nd attempt everything was transferred. I did not experience any missing files. So overall I'm happy with this app.

I successfully used this to transfer data from my old phone to my new one without any hassle whatsoever. All data was transferred quickly and with no issues. Couldn't be happier.

Connection error constantly! Won't work with the Samsung s4 or s6 edge? All I wanted to do was transfer all my data from my Samsung s6 edge to my new Sony xperia xz premium and its been a absolute nightmare!!

I have to sync each element (i.e., communication, multimedia etc.) separately otherwise the restore phase is constantly stuck at 12 minutes

Took over an hour to get to 90% then connection problem. Did this 3 times, so I gave up trying

Good app. But after upgrading Xperia XA Dual from Android 6.0 to Android 7.0, this app is not visible in App Menu. I have to open it from Play Store

Easy to use on both my devices.had a problem with connection at one point but managed to get through the transfer 2nd time around. Overall a very handy app!

App does not work. On step 3 it always hangs at 100% and it rrads less than a minute for more than 6 hours.

It's great! I have no question about this such a good thing for my android

Wifi transfer worked like a charm. Woke up to all my stuff loaded up on my new phone. Pretty sweet.

STUPID WASTE OF TIME. Downloaded on same day on each phone from Google play yet apparently different versions don't bother wasting space on your phone it doesn't work sadly you will have to do it manually

Took me 2 minutes to transfer all my apps, music, pictures, and contacts. Works amazingly

The app icon suddenly disappeared from the app drawer recently. I tried to reinstall the app updates but not working. Android 7.1.1 on Xperia X Performance.

Had to transfer from XZ to XZ Premium, and I got connection errors during video & music transfer. I deleted those chunks (8GB) and did them manually afterwards...

Very disappointed, cannot transfer anything from my old phone to new as in new phone the app do not work properly. Sony cable transfer do not work eather. Really bad.

Worked no problem. Didn't rate five stars because drained my battery.

Used to transfer sms & call log from android 4 to 7 using unstable wifi direct: couldn't find apps or photos.

Very convenient, but cut off on the first attempt and I had to start from scratch. Second attempt worked.

Did exactly what it said from Note 4 to a xperia premium... Took a long time but goodness knows how many Gigs went across a+++

It's a little slow and could use some additional functionality, but overall it works well for what it does.

Despite almost 2 GB of photos to transfer it was pretty quick and very easy to transfer them and my key apps. Thanks guys!

Everytime I log onto the icloud and click on my backup file it crashes I've got a xz premium

First time used to transfer data to a new mobile. Was easy to follow. Hopefully all is transferred as appears

Tried to get the data from IOS and stopped working - utter rubbish

Prefect did exactly what it says. On WiFi transfered 41 Gigabyte of video pics and music in 15 minutes, between sony z and z5. Full mark, thanks Sony team.

This thing just works, was downloading xender for the apps only to discover the apps are installed.

Connection always cutting even though devices are connected to WiFi. Waste of time

Locked up during import. All of my sms conversations are now gone forever.

I'm seeing lots of negative reviews but honestly this worked without a hitch for my phones.

Works for short transfers, but crashes for large ones. (Samsung to Sony)
