[Substratum] DNA Project

This theme has great customization and looks very nice, but whenever I open an incognito tab in chrome, the app crashes. For now, I have chrome overlays disabled until this is fixed.

App looks professional, but I tried to install "infected accent" from substratum, but when I rebooted my phone, the screen was all black and it kept vibrating constantly. Had to restore a backup from TWRP.

I don't know why this app's UI is so terrible. First of all, it indirectly says that one gotta buy this app to use it while the description doesn't say it. Secondly, neither in the app nor in the substratum app does it allow to set up the theme.

It's great, the only problem I found was that the notification cards is black text on a black background which makes it very hard to read.

Hey devs , awesome theme. However, in dark mode, on twitter, i get a white background, and cannot see the text or info. Any idea?

I don't know why it took me so long to get this beautiful beast of a theme but if you are thinking of getting the best dark sub theme this is the one.

The best thing available with substratum... You will surely fall in love with this ... The animations , QS tiles and everything is just perfect ....makes your phone cool..! Thanks developers .

I paid for DNA black as soon as it came out. After a recent update, I started getting a Lucky Patcher Installed error when trying to update DNA Black- even though I don't have lucky patcher installed. Now the outdated overlays are slowing down my system and causing crashes. I will update my review when this is fixed.

My oneplus x is currently on pa_7.2.1 onyx and i am using substratum. But while applying this theme at the end of the process it says " Compilation has completed an error has occured during overlay installation" All seems fine but Youtube overlay is not working. I have selected 'yes' for Substratum in modify device settings option. It'll be highly appreciated if someone can help me in this regard.

This is the best free theme I could find. Almost perfect. Good job dev. You really paid attention to the small details and that makes the difference ????

I dont understand how such a wonderful theme is free while other "lame" looking themes are paid. Absolutely love this UI. Thanks dev for all the hardwork behind compiling this. Hope it will continue to receive support and at the same time stay free..

Great theme developer, keep it up. Google app theme looks okay in the new update, using this theme now for 2 months, don't know why I get random UI crashes around everyweek, then the rescue zip also doesn't work and I have to dirty flash my ROM again, any idea? And i heard DNA black is out, what can I do to get promo code? Thanks for helping :)

I really love this theme, except there a few little cons. I am sure the developer may have noticed them: sometimes Google search app gets suggestion box's text in black and in dark theme is pretty hard to see( also the background is white, but I think it's hard to change as the creator said it is very hardcoded) and sometimes other texts also get black(in play store). But overall, this theme is the one I was really looking for!

Purchased black edition and it could not be more sexy. If I have any complaint, it's the Gmail overlay. It doesn't seem to honor the background and text colors. But honestly, I don't care that much about that. Very very worth the price.

*8.0-8.1 Users Be Careful* I noticed the warning but installed to be notified of a compatible update. While testing other themes I accidentally applied this overlay. I got a notification that it compiled with no errors, then my device crashed irrecoverably. I had to factory reset thanks to the built in encryption I couldn't recover any files. I do not blame the maker for this (you tried to warn me) I just post to stop others from making my mistake. I look forward to seeing this being updated for my os.

The best free theme for LINEAGEOS 14!! The only downside is there are quite many 3rd party app that dont have custom overlay like Instagram & facebook Please update this wonderful theme!! Update : This theme is TOO OUTDATED!!

The first Substratum Theme I tried (RR 5.8.3) as it was free. However, I now feel it's not only the top free theme, it's in the top 4 or 5 themes period. It's well thought out, good, crisp overlays, font is fine and the developer maintains it professionally. Works great (as does paid Black Edition) on S5 but sadly not on S8 (yet?)

Running pure nexus on nexus 6p and I am unable to apply this theme. It keeps getting stuck on the installing overlay stage. Tried deleting app data and reboot but still no luck. Please help Edit: Your advice worked. Thanks a lot Great theme

Amazing work! Near perfection.. Some colour issues here and there but mostly is just good. If you can add whatsapp support would be perfect! I tried to apply a whatsapp overlay I used to use before your theme, but it disable your theme completely for some reason!

Great theme! But the latest update to Android messages makes it crash! Don't know whether it can be fixed or not. I just can't launch it. Also in some Google Apps some elements are invisible(Dark over Dark). So I have guess there. One important example is that when I save a contact in Google Contacts the contact number is invisible! 5 stars if the dev can fix these issues. I am using Redmi Note 4 (7.1.2). But still good theme!

Lol. Installed on the 5th try. Was giving error, 'Failed to install' no error code, clicking on the message did nothing, maybe a phone error.

In DNA infected the colour of the ok button is invisible try to make it white text on red background

Google clock and YouTube fail to theme. (Black Version of DNA). Also annoying the way Black version is implemented.

Yet another theme developer who believes that it's in some way ethical or good business practice to try to force someone to needlessly uninstall another app in order to properly use their theme. At least your app doesn't allow me to purchase the manager before jumping me with the previously unmentioned, unadvertised demand to uninstall a "piracy related app" before you can use the theme like some other devs who do... Although this is rather foolish, as you try to tell me what apps I may install on my device, while I'm in the act of trying to pay you to use yours. The lack of respect for other people's property and associated rights to use it as they see fit is rather disturbing, and IMO a violation of play store policy as this extortion is not mentioned in the app listing. It's rather unfortunate, the theme looked good and I was trying to pay you for your hard work, but on principle of this kind of behavior, I can not use even the free version or support this sort of tactic. By the way, if you ever studied economics you'd know that folks who pirate this kind of stuff wouldn't have purchased it if they were unable to pirate it. It's a common misconception and proven logical fallacy to assume piracy of software is lost income. In this case, all you do is lose income and soil your reputation and ethics by trying to meddle with my device. ????

this theme corrupted android data and i had to factory reset my phone avoid at all costs

Plz update it and add a few more apps as well. This is the best substratum theme out there. Also please give an option for pure black backgrounds for phones with oled screens.

Some issues with black text on black background in notifications (e.g. ESPN). Otherwise it's beautiful.

Inside the Snapchat's chat menu, the navigation bar isn't visible

This is cool!!! It works on Huawei Honor 5X with Resurrection Remix ROM (Nougat). I just wish they had a pitch black background.

Best their is.. only thing missing is WhatsApp is not covered in this project

Doesn't work well on Nexus 5x. App icons are overlapping.
