Evie Launcher

Love it. I accidentally came across this one. When I saw the screenshots, I thought I will give it a try. I am very happy that I did. Now I am proud of my phone which I felt like 'meh' earlier. I have tried a few launchers before and I didn't like any. The best part I like was it imported my folder layout from my previous launcher. Like the apps in list view, large icons, and the absence of the home button. And also that this is not very aggressive and works fine without a million permissions. Smaller footprint also is well appreciated. Please, please, please stay this way.

I love it, it's simple and intuitive. However, there are things I'd like to see. 1) Please put in a way to import my app drawer customisations (i.e folder orgranisation) from my old launcher. 2) Consider having a tagging system for apps - for example, if I want to search for a certain game whose exact name I cannot recall, I can just type 'games' in the search bar, and all apps that are tagged 'games' will appear. That's it for now. As it is now, this app still gets a thumbs up from me. But if you could finda way to make either of my suggestions work, then this will get a two thumbs up.

Best launcher on Android play store. I have tried every single launcher, but they all failed to meet my expectations. It's super fluid UI experience, very light on my system resources and doesn't crash on my system. This launcher has all customisation settings which you will find in paid launchers for free. Just install it and feel the difference. Completely satisfied.

Better than nova! I don't ever rate apps but this one is amazing! It's beautiful! I have loved nova for ever but I came across this and had to test it out and by my surprise it is actually astonishing! I have never found a launcher that gave me the speed and the good design that fits me accept for nova. Untill now! This is by far the best looking and feeling launcher I've ever used I don't think I will ever use another launcher again. The slide up and slide down gestures are amazing slide up support on nova you have to start at the bottom but here you can slide from anywhere, much more convenient as for the search bar, definitely more convenient than nova

I really think this launcher stands out from the others in terms of design, I just love the blur effect from the app drawer, it somehow reminds of iOS. The launcher is beautifully designed and works smoothly, but I think the users should have bigger choice when it comes to customization. Me personally, I hated how i can not adjust icon labels of the apps. I can only change the icon size. In comparison other launchers offer more settings and im looking forward for an update, then my 5 * are yours !

It's wonderful! My regular launcher was going through an issue so I went through a lot of launcher before going to this one. It works really well and the design is so clean and customizable. One thing I'd like in the future is a way to choose which tab you want to be the home screen instead of defaulting to the left one. That won't bring down the rating one bit though. Keep up the good work!

Does NOT work well with tablets. There are a lot of good things about this launcher.. It looks beautiful. I really like the elegant simplicity of this UI. But it does NOT take into consideration the fact that some devices use landscape orientation for the home screen, so no matter what settings I chose (rows / columns / icon size) it always looked weird. I also had trouble adding icons to the dock

I wish it would stop asking me if I want to keep the icons on my home screen if I hide them from the drawer. I'm hiding them because they're already on my home screen. There is also a bug with changing the icon of an app that's hidden in drawer but you have it on home screen. Another issue is that it if you web search using the bar it uses Google even though he default search engine in my browser is Duckduckgo. If not for those, I'd give it five stars easily.

Simple. Fast. Clean. No ads. No unnecessary frills. A powerful search bar with a simple swipe searches within my apps for all my daily needs. Unread notifications for every app. Customizable grid, icon management and much more. The best launcher app. I really want support for Allo within Evie because I use it so much. Great launcher. Couple of suggestions. 1. When I go to the search screen I can't see all the recently opened apps since my keyboard hides them. Please either don't open the keyboard or restructure the screen. 2. Listed app drawer its fantastic, I've fell in love with the windows 10 mobile app drawer so could you please add a separator for every letter? Just like in wibdows phone for faster searching.

Search bar is really good and searches entire phone quicker and better than Google Now Launcher, even linking to movie and song title pages/reviews. No annoying ads. Nice clean UI. Smooth animations and no bloatware. One of the most underrated launchers on the play Store. Suggestions: App icon should highlight then unhighlight when pressed to simulate pressing a button.

I LOVE EVIE - ever since I started using it I've kept with it ever since. It's such a nice launcher. The only thing I ask for is maybe a way to make the unread counts match the icons? And also there's an issue with the blended search bar - it freezes on the frame that it covers. I'd like it to actually blend like it used to. Otherwise it's a good app!

The most good looking launcher I've ever had. Love it. But (1) please make the search bar optional! Especially for a small phone like mine, every bit of space is precious. Also (2) pls don't enforce dead space at the bottom of the the home screen. (3) eg the home screen indicator should be optional (4) and the option to add an empty screen (no widget/app). I'm really looking forward to the custom gestures tho.

Only reason I haven't given it a perfect score is because the "Unread Badges" feature does not work reliably well, especially with Google's "Messages" app, running on Nexus 6P w/ Android 8.0. Also, it seems that the launcher occasionally crashes when exiting Gmail app. Other than that, excellent launcher allowing for a variety of customization without clutter. Very good, but not quite excellent.

This is probably one of the most beautiful launcher I've ever seen. I've been trying to settle with a launcher for my daily driver but couldn't be satisfied with anyone for more than 10 minutes. Now I am using evie launcher for 3 days and it still looks beautiful to me. Fantastic job guys!

One of the coolest launchers. Fast, light, useful. But a little bit draining my battery on GS 8 Plus exynos version, and has fc. For example in some scenarios stucs desktop (when changing icon) sometimes it even stops Also please add some weather widgets

The app was working fine until my battery died and had to restart my phone. After that nothing worked, Everytime I press a key(an app) a random app opens, the layout of all my assigned apps changed, the dock disappeared and I can't even get into the settings of the launcher it just pulls up my clock app. I use a Nexus 6p please fix this. I really enjoyed this app but my phone is un functional with the app in its current state.

As someone who used to be a Nova Launcher user this one take a bit of getting used to. However now I love it. Evie Launcher has it quirks but it is obvious that the developers care about this product and people's feedback because there have been a lot of changes from what I have seen. I officially made this my new default launcher. It's simple, pretty, and easy to learn at the same time.

Ultimately if you can't come a decision, Evie is the way to go because of just how lightweight it is on your android phone. I run this on the Google Pixel and I prefer it over the stock launcher. It has a slick UI that is remnicent of iOS only because of it's translucent glass aesthetic.

Very Good application, easy to use and makes finding and launching apps faster. I really like the minimalistic design, launching of the app drawer and arrangement of the apps on the drawer but not having an option to hide the searchbar is a deal breaker for me, i dont use it and clutters the gome screen. Uninstalled this launcher and went back to using my stock launcher because of the search bar.

An amazing launcher. Simple, fluid, minimalistic, highly customizable. One thing I'd like (and I'm sure many others too) is the option to hide the app names on the app drawer when in grid view. Also to be able to get results from the search bar directly on the Google app, instead of loading the browser. Thanks for this amazing launcher!

This is a fast launcher. I love the gestures feature in this. I was a regular Nova launcher lover but after using this for sometime now, I am a fan of this and currently switched to Evie. The only issue is with the recent function now introduced in the new update. Please remove most used tab and bring back the older search button in which there were 5 line items shown instead of 3.

THIS IS THE BEST LAUNCHER I HAVE EVER SEEN. Normally i prefer default launcher because 3'rd party launchers generally feature soup. But this launcher is very clean fast and very beauitiful. But some features is missing like we can select folder shape but we can't select icon shape like new samsung phones. It can have google pixel icon's by default.

Minimalism at it's best Evie does exactly what I need a launcher to do. It's simple to use and fast. I love the customization. What I'd like to have changed is the way the search bar launches the browser. I'd want it to simply inject the search into the URL-bar of my browser. As it is right now, it goes straight to Google results. Also I'd wanna disable voice commands altogether. Minor dislikes.

Could you add a feature that could hide apps? Some app just useless and can't uninstall. Your app is great anyway. Update: I read the other reviews and find out that it is possible to hide app! But it is a little hard to open the setting page, I've used evie for about one month and never notice that there have setting page.

The new swipe menu killed it. It was unique and a faster way to access, and now we have to swipe up and have it take the entire screen. I disliked the new settings menu too. Now Evie became "another" Android launcher. Please revert, otherwise I'm giving this a 1 star and switching launchers. Good bye Evie

Fast and not as battery hog like other launchers. I would rate it 5 stars only if we had the option of choosing our web search engines. I dislike Google brand with a passion lmao. Also I think it would be great if we could choose our own home page. I like to have my important widgets when I swipe left and in this launcher I can't.

It's beautiful and minimalistic right out of the box so I don't have to bother setting things up in Nova because this ends up being just as fast and smooth. For the devs, please don't forget about performance improvements going forward and keep working on them now too

One simple word... WOW!!!!! Its so much easier to search the apps I want to use rather than flipping from page-to-page looking for them. The search engine is SUPERFAST!!! As soon as I type the first letter of the app that I want it populates every app with a similar first letter and so on. Dude! If you don't have thia application you'd better get it.

The Google search not taking input after first search when not set to open using browsers is not fixed . It works fine if Google app is not login, but broken after enroll it. Also Please give a option for excluding hidden app into search result for frequently used app or recent opened app. If I click the search bar and all my hidden app are piping up and shown, what the point of hiding . Thanks . Last, the launcher ask me to set it as default launcher even I already did, it keeps happening , and even crash once . On Android o Google pixel. Great job by the way. Keep the good work

Super awesome launcher! It's really convenient and aesthetically pleasing and does well with my widgets and icon pack. The only thing I would like is perhaps an application of the icons when selecting apps in split screen mode and on the two quick access apps in the corners of the lockscreen on my Samsung, but I'm honestly just nitpicking. This launcher is great and I haven't run jnto any major issues.

Used to be perfect. The app used to be great at suggesting apps based on my usage, when I press the home button and the search came down. I would type one letter and get suggested the so I wanted. Now they change it "on your device". Which makes no sense and i no longer have any use for this launcher because it's no longer available as fast to use it.

Crashes very often, consumes a lot of battery. I had to modify the APK itself before being able to have something pleasant. No. Make us able to removr this quick search bar on top of the screen, why do the launcher needs access to Internet? >>Ads

Great design, really useful, having all my apps sorted alphabetically and more icons displayed is the best. My battery seems to wear out quicklier but I don't know if it's related to Evie or another app. Great work anyway

Simple and just what is needed. But one issue, the search bar automatically switches from subtle mode to white after few days, this happens every time when I put it back on subtle mode. And please add an option remove search bar from home screen, it would come down only if we swipe down. This would be great.

Great simple app. It's got the all app notification badge, no matter what app installed but I was unable to place a clock widget 3×2 whereas some other 3x2 widgets worked. It kept saying there's no more room, though on a blank home screen

Love love love this launcher. It's so light and easy to use. The ONLY thing that I would like would be a "lock" on the homescreen so my fat fingers don't rearrange all my icons + widgets accidentally (if someone knows how to do this. Please let me know!)

Smooth and comfort. Would be great if search didn't ignore hidden apps. And an option to drag out apps from app drawer to desktop instead of cloning them. Another small issue is - icons duplicate if you put them into folder twice. Otherwise it's perfect!

The search feature doesn't work well. Sometimes I type an app's name, and it will show no matchs, even waiting as long as 30 seconds, then I open the search again and retype the exact same name and the app will be shown, and it happens very frequently. Also, sometimes an app will only appear if I type it's entire name. And almost all the time it will show only 1 app with the same letters. Aside that, this is a pretty amazing laucher. Fast, stable, and very customizable. Hope they fix the search problem or at least integrate it with Google's search.

Well, it's amazing! I love it. But i just change my phone (Xiaomi Redmi 4A) and the wallpaper is weird, everytime i boot my phone then i unlock my phone / after boot i lock my phone then i unlock my phone, the wallpaper is zoom in then after ±0.5 sec the wallpaper is back to normal. That weird. Fix please and 5 star will come for you :)
