Doorways Launcher

When I type into the filter starting with a capital letter it nullifies the results. It has been so difficult for me to find a simple launcher with a search function that does not only take into account the first letter of the apps. Great work so far, would definitely update to fifth star for fixing pattern matching.

If your looking for something simple and gets the job done this launcher does that.

It would be nice if there were icons next to the name of an app.

It's lightweight, which is nice for the cheap Samsung I'm using it on. It has a few buga however, like selecting (tap and hold) an app after filtering selects the app in that location before you filtered/searched instead of the one you thought you selected. Some customization of the dock icon size and text size would alai be nice. Still, its simplicity is appreciated. Keep up the good work and the bug squashing.

I fell in love with this launcher a while back but tried emailing the developer and haven't had a response.

Love the simplicity of this - easily could be a daily driver instead of Nova. UPDATE: Dev reached out [quickly] and updated the launcher to address the 3-dots request and fix the hidden apps issue. Now I'd love for there to be a way to keep this in memory so it does take forever to load after getting dumped from memory. Also, and I realize this is a bit counter to the original intent, but it'd be great to have one page for widgets.

Love the simplicity of this - easily could be a daily driver instead of Nova. Some issues: After apps are hidden, the wrong app launches when tapping to start an app. It would be nice to be able to change the door icon to something else (three dots?), as well as change the font used for the list of apps.

Worms great except the hide apps feature. While it gets rid of the text,it doesn't change the link. I resolved this by changing the name of the app I wanted to hid to "zzz" and then hiding it while it was at the bottom of the list. I'd also like text icons in the drawer instead of icons.

As long as you don't search and don't use the dock and don't hide thigs, it works. Hiding things causes incorrect apps to launch on selection, as does filtering. Adding one icon will frequently add a second icon, which will be tied to the fate of the first.

Why the Network permissions?? Also, the incorrect app launches when other apps are hidden. This bug has been with Doorways since version 1, please try to fix it.. Also, Why does it need network permissions? I have it firewalled anyway, but its the principle :/

Like a circle or something , anything but a door lol we need more options to, dock size icons , font choice and size, change the door menu icon into a 3 dot one, also wallpaper tint , or option to blur wallpaper, this launcher can go a long way

Doorways seems to be what I just need when I was looking for a simple text based launcher. I have revert to am earlier launcher because doorways was just lacking in a lot of areas 1. This launcher NEEDS a home screen. The default app listing should be the app drawer. And on the home screen, instead of icons it's should be a row column matrix of apps with on the app name. Themer launcher did something similar by having PHONE, TEXT, APPS, EMAIL as text only icons. 2. App drawer should text based. Rows....

when you have to stick with your old 512ram device, but need to use high consuming apps, this is the way to do it. abandon all that shiny glittering 3D animated ram consuming good for nothing launcher, and use this perfect simple launcher. it does anything you need from a launcher, show your apps, that's it

Best launcher on the market, bar none

Doorways Launcher is so fast and incredibly lightweight, I think that's the way it should stay. I have this launcher installed on my LG G3, it runs perfectly! (Appearance could be tweaked a little, the spacing between each application is unnecessarily big. Change this and I'll give a 5 star rating!)

Wow! It's like fluxbox for Android! :D All jokes aside, it's everything that a launcher should be... ...hardly anything to get in your way. It reduces information overload and keeps meaningless meandering down to a bare minimum. No, it's not "feature rich", but if more interfaces were like this, maybe people would be less freaked out by smartphones.

Why does my phone say doorways is using 90+ megs of ram?

Doorways is my new primary launcher!

Just make the labels in a grid mode and it would become a great app!

I like it better how its updated. Now I can filter and change wall paper. Now I can just uninstall directly from the launcher without messing with the settings. Recommend it to everyone!

App performs very well in terms of lightweightness.
