With the Friendly Password Safe you can easily organize all your usernames, passwords and secret notes in one place. And, unlike most password managers that require internet, sdcard or cloud permissions, this one does NOT REQUIRE ANY PERMISSIONS AT ALL.
It is now known that intelligence agencies steal our personal keys stored or transmitted through the internet, so strong LOCAL encryption is of paramount importance.
The Friendly password safe:
- Does NOT show advertisements
- Does NOT require internet access or cloud support
- Keeps data locally (can't even access you SD card)
- Is simple to use, does not try to pose as an "organizer"
- Utilizes the latest in strong encryption and in multiple layers

Important Tips:
- Tap to edit entries, LONG tap to delete them (confirmation will be shown)
- Categories and their icons are editable. Define your personal categories early, so you can organize your entries
- Password changes are recorded (password history is maintained)
- By pressing the [FILTER] button, you can easily find the entry you are looking for, based on its category.
- Since the app does not use ANY android permission at all, it CANNOT save/sync your data to the internet. This is a security choice... not a flaw... unless you trust remote servers keeping your data !
- Users with rooted phones are prone to attacks (on all applications, not just this one). Rooting your phone without extensive linux knowledge compromises security.

I want a password app that not only stores my passwords but also opens my entry on website and fills in the password for me, but this app only stores them so it isn't that useful.

What a cool lil app: it just sits so quietly and unobtrusively amongst my apps, it's small size and zero maintenance making it super easy to keep. Holds as many pw's as I need (which is A LOT), plus room for notes. Easy to navigate, no obnoxious ads, clear ui, and TINY in size. Basically perfect, no joke. Hmm, wonder if there's a way to donate to the dev. I'm checking that out now, totally worth supporting ethical developers making such useful aps. :)

I'm going to reset my phone and need copy of my file to reinstall latter. Cant put all 200 plus entries in a paper and type them again after reinstall. Idea: make it save to sd card, synchronize via bluetooth to other phone or tablet. Need Search bottom. Note field need to show more lines or an arrow to scroll down

I downloaded the app owing to No App permission, being free and simple to use. The file size and Holo UI supplement the positives. I just wish it had option to sync with 2 step authentication servers (like how KeePass for Windows does using plugins) and support for automatic sign-in at websites at least while using default browser. Maybe developer can take these as pro features and add on? And one more thing-drop the "The" ;)

One of my favorite features is that when you change a password on an entry, this app saves your old pw in case you need it again. I urge everyone to get Friendly Password Safe, you'll love it!!
