If you enable hidden files & folder then you can see your camera pictures from DCIM directory are synced with anonymous server. Do you want to use this app which is taking continuous back up to hidden server without user's permission? Allowing storage permission in Android devices is at risk from applications. They do not specify the reason behind that permission like iPhone app does. Features are excellent hence giving two stars but not negotiable with security about user's data

Was such a great app. Recently it has become bloated and resource intensive such as eating too much RAM and clocking the CPU. It's become laden with ads. Just to change the theme now I'm being asked to install other apps I don't want. As before this was a standard feature. Among other intrusive behavior. It is too bad to ruin such a good and useful app.

It used to be a great file manager. Too much bloatware and irritating notifications now. Have searched through the settings to see how much I can turn them off, but none of it can be. Let me change the home page to a page of my choice (such as 'cloud' or sdcard); then let me disable ES News, file cleaner, and ES messages. Simply bloatware.

(Just when you thought it couldn't get worse.. It did.. Latest release crashes every few minutes even when not in use). It's hard to fault how good ES Explorer is - it's better than a swiss army knife. But of late they have made it too feature rich with the result that it's extremely slow. Especially initial loading. From 5 stars to 3 to 1. App keeps crashing. I use an alternate file manager to do the same thing and works fine.. Use ES file explorer and it completely hangs my high performance phone. Uninstalled.

I had give this 5 stars for years. Have been using it for more than 3 years. Although it had 1 problem where when u move files from device memory to sd card sometimes it stops in the middle n ends up not copying the files n end up deleting the files that was to be moved. I recently lost 1 of the most valuable photo albums i have ever had because of this. I difnt have space in my phone. So i was planning on backing it up when i got to my pc. I lost ALL of it. Please make sure it doesn't delete unless its sure that the files have been moved. Plz. I love this app..... I recommend to everyone

Once it was a great file manager but now it is an aplication full of garbage. One more thing: it hangs in running aplications all the time, consuming ram and lagging the device. And now es explorer has ads. It was once my favourite aplication... In old version of that aplication media player can be used in landscape mode but portrate only. Is it really so hard to do a landscape mode for media player!?

Used to be great, now it's bloated and intrusive. Actually installs a second app without warning or asking permission. Ads, widget that pops up in other programs, must install other apps to unlock features, notifications, constantly running, useless news feed and other useless features, also pops every time you install a new app! Incredibly bad judgement...But looks pretty.

Latest update makes es file explorer consumes battery and background process and lot of ads from third parties.....This is not good to download third party apps which is not needed for us to enable theme.. ES losing ur users unwantedly...take care of it bye..!

It was such a good app. Now it's bloated with ball$$it i don't need, and features were removed until you dowload other apps, and the push notifocations, OMG. it was a small quick app now it takes forever to even open. dont download

The ability to transfer files via otg is reduced hugely... Earlier transfer speed used to come about 5-11 MBps but now it has reduced to 500-800KBps only whereas the pre installed file manager gives 5-11MBps speed only then what's the use of having es file explorer? Kindly look into this matter and solve the problem asap :)

Pro version is VERY EXPENSIVE. Solid file manager is 20/- and this is 200/- Who will pay 10 times the price when they are getting same functionality for 20/-.... Ads are getting unbearable... But still no other file manager comes close to ES in terms of functionalities.

The mp3 player is opening a huge gap between files when playing the full folder. EZ Folder Player Free seems to solve the problem.
