Rfi - remote for Roku players

I accidentally ripped off the plastic off my Roku remote. I couldn't fix that, and it's really hard to press the remote buttons without the little plastic padding covering the buttons. I just found this app a bit ago and tried it! It can do everything the remote does! So glad I didn't have to spend $69.99 on a whole new Roku. Thank you!!

Cannot express enough how much I love this app. My roku remote has been giving me headaches ever since I purchased it. Even with brand new energizer batteries it still refuses to work. I almost purchased a new remote until I found this app. I'm saving money on batteries and a new remote. Best of all no more headaches. I love this app. Works great!

This was an amazing product pre-3.0. I just happen to have an older APK and will uninstall 3.0/ replace with 2.10 which works a lot more reliably then disable app updates.

Seems useful so far. Lightweight installation and works better than Roku remote for my Stick. Has ads, so -1 star automatically, but they are not blatant. Text entry so-so.

I have a LG V10 & this app didn't work for me. All I got was a black screen.

It won't find my roku player. I have downloaded the app multiple times, Disconnect and connect to my network, restarted my phone, entered the CORRECT IP number and still it won't find my freaking player..... Sigh... Pointless

How come the original remotes never work?

I lost the remote for my Roku 2 HD and this will fit the bill until I find it. I would have given it 5, but it didn't find my device automatically. No big deal...something that will probably be fixed in a future update. Although the GUI isn't the prettiest,...who cares. It's fully functional and free. Thank you.

This app is awesome. It's very easy to use. No hassle set up, even easier to set up than the official Roku app. I like it so much I brought the pro version to support the developer and because I hated clicking on the ads by accident. I highly recommend.

App could not automatically find my roku, so i just plugged in the ip address in manually by finding it under settings on my roku. Best things are 1. the keyboard use 2. can use it anywhere in the room (does not need line of sight) and 3. can see the remote in the dark (my phone's back light). :-)

This is the first app that ever help me in real world situations, like losing my roku romote. This works perfectly for roku 2. But the system is kinda of crusty. They have a little bit of ads, and at the bottom of your screen it has all of the buttons you have oressed in the passed. Other then that this app is awesome sause.

"Hey honey, can you grab my phone and play the next episode" (child staring at phone) "what's going on"? grab my phone out of his hands and see add with Sasha Grey (as a porn star not actress role) looking seductively at the viewer with her naked back arched like she's taking it from behind. Good call guys. Deleted this app. Roku Inc has an app that does more and has a better interface.

This is a great, simple app. Thanks for making it. My only complaint is that if I accidentally open it before turning on wifi, it has a fit. Even after turning wifi back on it still wont auto find it. I have to manually set the roku address again when that happens. If I start the app with wifi on, it auto finds it every time.

This app SUCKS. I have a Samsung Galaxy S II Tablet and a brand new Samsung Victory smartphone and this app will not connect to my network at all. Yes, the IP addresses all match up, but this app still ignores my network. Believe it or not, samsung's "peel" app works 100% better and that's embarrassing.

It does the job. While it does function, here are two bugs. 1. It doesn't pick up my device quickly, even though I had to key in the IP address. 2. The programmers debug output at the bottom def detracts from the finish. I wish it would remember that I don't want to see it. Other than that, it works!

My phone is a dinosaur, I wish I could get newer, the official roku app couldn't hope to work but this app is slim and very functional, works as advertised. Only problem I had was the automatic connection did not work, I had to manually add the IP but not really a big deal!

Worked perfectly on my retired OG Droid running CM7. Instantly detected my box and just worked. I was so happy that I bought the "pro" version. I use it in conjunction with an application to keep my WiFi turned on at all times (even with the screen on), so the remote doesn't drop the connection.

I love this app! So much. But one thing, when I go to type things I have to look up and down from the TV to my phone..I think a lot more people would love it if you made a keyboard to type things on the tv.. I know for a fact that my dad would love it.. please see what you can do and I'll give you five stars and I'll have my dad give you five stars as well. Merry Christmas.

It would get 5 stars if it remembered your IP address or the auto connect worked. Don't get me wrong it does to an extent. It remembers your IP in manual mode only as long as you always try to connect through WiFi. If you make the mistake and try to connect while WiFi is turned off it will magically forget your IP address. Frustrating Considering I don't know another way to find my IP address without my remote and I have 3 children that lose the remote more than they brush their teeth.

Hate this app!! Only works 10% of the time and I've tried 3 different devices. Would rather spend the $20 to get a new one than this free pos.

My fiancée always falls asleep with the roku remote on her bedside table. I got tired of getting up and walking around to get it. I searched for a Roku remote app hoping to god I'd find one at all. It automatically connected to my Roku Stick with no issue at all. I'll be keeping it for now.

If you have a Roku, this app is one that is a must! Instead of having to look up the IP address for the Roku device, it automatically does it for you. Easy! For some reason my Roku changed the IP once in a while and it was a pain to try and look it up each time. I tried this app and I am very impressed. (I have also used this app to play tricks on my kids... they are watching tv and for some reason the show just pauses... {insert evil laugh here})

A good app except that I always had to connect manually. Lately they have started showing inappropriate ads that I wouldn't want my children to accidentally see. So I found a better app.

This has been going on for over a month now!! Auto connect NEVER works either. My router and wifi connection work flawlessly but lately this crappy roku app is basically useless with my android phone. Sucks cause it used to work great. I noticed with a lot of app updates, change is for the worse.

The selection arrows keep getting stuck. I press once and they remain highlighted and scroll through the entire menu. Very irritating!!!
