About aRDP: Secure RDP Client

Please support my work and GPL open-source software by buying the donation version of this program called aRDP Pro!

Some people have complained of issues after a major upgrade of the FreeRDP library in v3.8.7. I've made sure to upload older versions of aRDP (APK files) going back to at least v3.6.5 here:
https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/releases

If aRDP doesn't work for you, before writing a review, please post your question in the forum:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bvnc-ardp-aspice-opaque-android-bb10-clients

See below for setup instructions for Windows, and Linux.

If you need an VNC viewer, please search for aRDP's sister project bVNC in Google Play. In addition, a SPICE client named aSPICE is now part of the same project. Finally, if you are an oVirt, RHEV, or Proxmox user, you can check out Opaque VDI on Google Play as well.

Current known issues:
- Does not work for accounts with no password.
- Does not work for users with cyrillic letters in the user name.

It used to work great on my tablet (Note 10 2014 edition), but now I cannot open the menu once I'm connected. I can see the keyboard and menu icons on the right edge, but only the keyboard icon works. Touching the menu icon (three vertical dots) doesn't open the menu and the menu touch button on the tablet also doesn't work. Please fix this issue. Thanks.

Have been using this for months now. Random hiccups here or there, but for an I.T. guy, makes it useful when you can't have your computer on you 24/7. Great Application!

Z70%
by Z####:

Works pretty well, though it drains my phone's battery as quickly as if I was navigating via gps.

L70%
by L####:

Cool. You finally fixed keyboard issues and gboard, but now I can't login at all. If I use the version .88 everything works except the keyboard so I just switch to aosp

Is there a desktop client or not? Only instructions to enable remote desktop was provided. How do we actually connect?

Great app. Newer version broken on Android 4.4.4 (who knew!) but Iordan had fix out in 0.5 day on a Sunday. Outstanding.

The power supply for my laptop died at the worst possible time and I urgently needed to get some work done and access files. After scratching my head for a minute I remembered my trusty Nexus but dated Nexus 5 could VPN to my small raspberry pi cluster which also held backups. After a quick SSH to install xrdp I searched for an Android client. As with any app I avoid the commercial hype and look for something simple and settled on this which proved to be simple and straight to the point. I was able to painstakingly (small phone) get done everything I needed without any issues or annoying app interruptions. Very clean and straightforward app! Thank you!

Only RDP client I have found that works with Linux XRDP server. A useful feature for those that run Desktop Linux in data centers

The only RDP client that works with xRDP and VirtualBox's RDP feature. The interface is a little clunky but hey, it works!

For many months, across devices, this thing has crashed repeatedly and frequently (libc error in logcat), and when it comes back it asks me to buy the Pro version. I don't think so... Not yet, anyway. Thankfully, the developer has committed to look into the issue. bVNC, by the same developer, is stable and all-around great.

Give it Mic and sound support for linux you get 5 stars. :) Splashtop has sound and it works flawlessly I stream music from my server at home to my shop through the internet with no special software at all. Impossible is just another way of saying "I don't know how". I can do it now...just want one program to control them all...muhaha. *I was not comparing. Was just saying add sound you get 5. Don't add it cool too. Just need mic input or the reality is I can't use in for anything practical. I own a keyboard...never use it. I use my gloves and voice control and my Custom Recompiled Verbot on roids. I'd like to remote into my Linux and issue a simple voice command. I am working on my own system. I have mic input already.. still kinda useless with out sound out. my Linux is the only one still stuck in the dark ages of user interfaces..lmao... you would get 5 from me if you had pulled that off. Good day. PS your attitude sucks... Will ignore other apps by you. - 1 Star

I use it almost every day. Better than Microsoft's own RDP client. I love the support for RDP over SSH.
