ION’s Smart Badge is a Bluetooth programmable scrolling badge that is a perfect solution to the problem of messy, awkward name badges. When you need to convey a message with clarity and impact, Smart Badge is the perfect answer. Now you can display “TOUR GUIDE,” “INFORMATION,” “CAN I HELP” or even your name in bright red LEDs on a neat, compact badge that attaches easily to your shirt. Messages can scroll on the badge or remain stationary.
The Smart Badge app makes it easy. Download the free app to your mobile device. You can program up to eight messages per ‘set,’ and store them in memory for recall later on. You can adjust the brightness, font weight, scrolling speed and scrolling direction (left, stationary or right).
Put the badge in the pairing mode to connect via Bluetooth to your mobile device. Once you’ve finished composing and editing your messages, simply hit ‘send’ on the app and your messages are on the Smart Badge! Easy as can be. You can replace the messages on your Smart Badge with a different set of 8 messages whenever you want.

I'll have to see if it works on ios. Right now, the company needs a better Android app developer. Edited...got it to connect after syncing it to iOS, and then my Android device. Made sure I could change all of the messages first.

Broken... Only sends message #1. You can create and save a bunch of messages, but it won't send any to the badge. Only message #1. So you have to reenter it as message #1 everytime. Why have "features" that are useless?

I was worried when I tried to connect when it asked me for a pin to do so. But when you start pairing the app automatically grabs it. Pressing the message button a couple of times will have it scroll through your selection repeatedly. I havent played with the speed yet but it does everything I wanted it to. Thanks for selling me something that worked. I'm using a galaxy grand prime and no problems with it.

I like the idea of the beds and being able to change messages, but this app has problems, and it is hard to change messages because even though it says it was successfully sent to the badge, the nameplate keeps a prior message. Too bad it could be fun , but right now it's CrapTastic.

This smartbadge is awesome, I like changing the different messages. Only one issue so far was that the safey pin broke due to poor design but the poeple at ION resolved the issue, they went above and beyond customer satisfaction. Thank you ION!
