The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) is a Catholic translation of the Bible published in 1985. The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) has become the most widely used Roman Catholic Bible outside of the United States. It has the imprimatur of Cardinal George Basil Hume.Like its predecessor, the Jerusalem Bible, the New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) version is translated "directly from the Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic." The 1973 French translation, the Bible de Jerusalem, is followed only "where the text admits to more than one interpretation." Introductions and notes, with some modifications, are taken from the Bible de Jerusalem.

It baffles me that this Bible is not complete, has no atom of clarity and the complete version has to be purchased! I stand for the truth no matter what. The purpose of this app was to make the Bible easier to access, it's quite UNFORTUNATE!!! Please don't download!

Great app. If you are worried about the missing verses you need to understand byzantine manuscripts verses critical text. But I get the confusion, personally id rather have them there too. For the Word of God is alive and effective... Hebrews 4:12

These verse has been removed from your New Jerusalem Electronic Bible.. Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14 , Mark 7:16; 9:44,46 , Luke 17:36; 23:17, John 5: 4 , Acts 8:37 .

Have checked this app against a physical copy of the NJB, and all reported 'missing' verses are there, just as they are supposed to be.
