Learning Genie for Childcare

Love the app, just wish when it sent the reports in email that the pictures had time on it and that when it showed all the meals they would be in order from earliest to latest. ALSO wish it had a feature to check children in/out by clicking on picture. Like attendance, that would be perfect.

Its a good app but I wish that it would rotate to landscape so i can use it with my keyboard on my tablet so i don't always have to use the touchscreen keyboard

I like it, but it seems they changed the way you can add learning resources. I don't really use the resources listed with the app, however the feature to be able to list resources is very useful. I just wish it could go back to being able to list resources you independently select​ from the app as well.

I was happy with the application in the beginning, but over the past few months my business has experienced not being able to access the books and video log. We are only able to input video pre-loaded. I was so big on this app even promoting it on my business facebook page . Its a bummer that we may have to find a new app to keep our parents updated with their children's daily activity.

I was generally quite happy with the app bit over the past few months, various functions in the app stopped working... E.g. No longer able to access library of books to select and input books read, no longer able to search for various videos/media to include in children's daily report etc. I hope these issues can be resolved asap because as educators we rely on the consistency and reliability of features to send the daily reports our clients expect. I'll be glad to update my rating once these issues are fixed.

By far the BEST portfolio (and then some) app I've ever used! Super easy to use. Such a time saver when it comes to documentation for state required assessments, links easily to the DRDPtech. Best support team! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this app.

I really like this app and so do the parents of the children I babysit. We would LOVE to have a feature for the parent to comment on a note from me within the app. A calendar would also be awesome!

I love that we can share pictures of the kids and give a more detailed description of their day than we would with a standard written report

This allows the parents to be updated at just a click of a button. Great way for daily updates! Even includes evaluations such as DRDP. After the inital set up it is super easy to use!

This app is quick with logging info to parents, which gives me more time to interact with children, and the families have a peace of mind receiving live updates! While working they can check mobile devices quickly, and add a smile by viewing pictures of their pride and joy! Wonderful connection away from your child!

I spend a lot of time filling paperwork and it has been pain. This app saved a ton of time for me. It’s so easy to use – just about any preschool teacher can master it quickly. What’s more important for me is that I know parents are reading the updates everyday. I have been sharing a lot more pictures than before. There is no limit on how many pictures you share on one report. I record the whole learning activity with multiple pictures, which look like a story book. Parents love it. The customer support for this app is terrific. I emailed a couple of times for questions over the weekend, and they responded right away. I think this app is perfect for all preschool teachers.

I am so impressed with how dedicated they are to keep improving the program. They have added many features since the beginning. It’s just getting better and better every week. Love the book and music feature. I’m excited to see more features coming out.

to do lots of observations and documentations based on our State’s Early Learning Standard. This has been really painful for me and most of the teachers at our school. What I like the most about this app is it made the observation and notes taking so easy. It’s definitely an efficiency boost. This app made me want to do more observations. I just sent 20 observations at one time from circle time dancing. The auto-generated portfolio report is so beautiful! Parents love it.

We have been using the Learning Genie program for I think about a year now and our families and teachers love it. It is much more convenient for teachers logging information about the children's day and development as well as pictures. The parents can view this information at anytime throughout the day as well as emailed. Highly recommended.
