Unable to securely request app creds via website. The forgot username/password takes you to a new page that is not on the same domain as optum bank and moreover has an invalid security certificate. Requesting someone's SSN without that is not only unacceptable, but incompetent from a technology perspective. DO NOT USE THE FORGOT ACCOUNT TO MAKE A NEW ONE.

I called the contract number I got from this app and they informed me that this app is not for my OPTUM HSA. So be aware that this app is not for use by everyone. That's why people are leaving bad reviews. My guess is that the OPTUM Health Advantage is a separate program that most people don't have. It would be helpful to make that clearer to us HSA users who've downloaded this app. P.S. How about releasing an app for the HSA program?

This is a good App. I have Optum HSA. For everybody that is having trouble with HSA or logging in to mobile app please read - WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS ARE DIFFERENT - from mobile app use the forgot username link, answer a few questions to get username and establish password. Worked great after that for me. Now I can check balances anytime.

Desktop and Mobile log in are two separate systems. Call optum and ask for a temporary password for mobile log in and than change it to match your desktop log in or what ever password you chose. Nice app to make quick claim or just check balances.
