X-plore allows you to see inside of your Android device. And also outside.

This is a dual-pane explorer, there are two folders shown at same time, and common operation such as copying files are done from one pane to another.
And X-plore shows folder hierarchy in a tree view for clear orientation and fast switching to other location.

You may explore internals of the device, and if you're power user and have your device rooted, you can make changes to system data - backup files, remove unwanted applications, etc.

If you're standard user, you may choose to hide internal memory from view and be sure not to mess with system.
You can comfortably see contents of mass memories on your device, or possibly attached USB memory stick.

Simple app manager allows to see, run, copy, share, uninstall and further explore installed applications.

WiFi file sharing
Access files on your Android device from other Android devices over WiFi.

Access from a PC web browser
Manage files on your Android device from your PC.

Access to FTP and FTPS (secure FTP) servers is supported.
Multiple servers may be configured.

X-plore can display shared folders on other computers in LAN.

X-plore can access various web storage "Cloud" servers, and access their files.
You need to have account in supported web service, then you can access your files stored online through X-plore.

Supported is also SSH File Transfer (SFTP) and Terminal shell emulator.

X-plore contains music player that can play music tracks from any available location.

With Vault function, you can encrypt sensitive files, even by your fingerprint.

Main operations are related to managing files and folders - viewing, copying, moving, deleting, compressing to Zip, extracting, renaming, sharing, and more.

SQLite database viewer
X-plore can show SQLite database files (those with .db extension) as expandable list of tables, each table containing list of rows and columns with database entries.

Main interaction is done by touch screen, clicking on folders or files to open files, or long-click to open context menu which contains options which can be done on particular clicked item, or multiple selected items.
Multi-selection allows to do operation on more files at once.

Opening file may mean to use one of built-in viewer for most popular file types: images, audio, video and text.
Or you may configure X-plore to use system application for opening files, in which case system-predefined application that can open particular file is launched.

Archives (currently supported are Zip, Rar and 7zip) are displayed as other folders.

The Best File Manager App & The Greatest Possible Design! Dual Pane Is How File Managers Should Have Been Designed From The Start! I doubt I'll EVER understand why anyone would design or use a File Manager That Didn't Incorporate This Dual Pane Feature! So Congratulations To The Crew Over At Lonely Cat Games You Made A Kick-Ass

I use it daily to view images, to play audio and video files. I use it to organize folders and files on my SD card. I have donated and paid. There is a bug in the Web Server. I emailed the developer. Files moved from the PC with the Web Server to the SD card work on the phone. I discovered that Win 7 Window Explorer connected by USB can't see the files. It shows an empty folder. The work around is to stop the web server. Use X-PLORE to move the entire folder to the phone's internal drive. Then move it back to the SD card. That fixes the problem. The files will be listed on Win 7 using USB.

This is great. My only request would be to add a toggle to disable the "copy to temp folder" feature when working with files that require root privileges. That feature is terribly inconvenient for someone opening files in apps that have root access(not exiting the app after saving usually results in lost work.)

This is a fantastic file manager. It works a lot like some of the classic file managers on Amiga or DOS with two pains indicating source and destination for your file operations. It supports local and network file storage, and has functions got just about anything that you might want to do with your files. Well worth supporting the developer with an in-app purchase.

I find xplore file manager very handy, I used to transfer files to my pc with LAN section thanks to new update it is very very slow so u cant use it. I use its FTP and other sections is working well. Updated: its network file managing is sucks!! It just crash and cannot copy sometimes!

Intelligent implementation of a file manager. A bit complicated but has so many features it's really worth getting to know. Each time I find a new feature I think "that's nice - well thought out". Uses it's own video and picture viewers that are better than most you have to pay for plus a vault for your sensative stuff. Give the developer a beer - it's worth it!

Installed this on nvidia shield TV 2017. If you browse and try to install an .apk you get a dialog for installing the app. The upperscreen of the dialog is white, and the font is also almost white, making the text almost invisible! Please fix this! Otherwise, very nice app!

There is no option to create new file in ssh file browser. No way to "ctrl+c" in ssh console. The ssh console should be larger, covering all the screen. If I mark a folder on ssh transfer then close it and uncheck the mark I won't be able to open it and any other folders.

Re-RE-visited: This is an update to an updated review. Previously had an issue with X-plore's LAN functionality on my Galaxy S7 Edge. Sent an email to the developer and got an immediate response with a fix to my problem. THAT is world-class customer service! There's a reason X-plore File Manager is simply the best file manager out there today. I said I would donate again and return to a 5-star rating if the LAN function gets fixed. Time to keep my word. Thank you Lonely Cat Games for an awesome product and excellent support.

Possibly better than my Root Explorer go to app.. The zip file explorer/image viewer is hands down the best. Best cloud services period. Kudos dev.

No send to background on a large delete operation. The SSH console feature is probably the coolest and sftp/cloud/lan works great! SSH though would be best full screen instead of a condensed window.
