Great so far, but I really feel like Lesson 13 need to be split into 2. So many things were introduced all at once that it gave me a headache and I struggled to memorize any of them, even with pausing and taking a break. I really felt like I was struggling!

I had this on my ipod touch and I fell in love. It's so easy to learn from. Am so glad I found this in Google play. Was searching for a long long time. Can't wait to brush up and continue my studies. I would say though I hope you guys come out with Indonesia bahasa and filipino. Would love to keep you guys on my phone for all of the languages I want to study.

I love this app. 好きです!I've been using a variety of apps, textbooks, and audiobooks/podcasts, but this has helped me tremendously. I like that it didn't immediately introduce "A は B です" like every single other learning tool out there. It starts and explains things differently. For some reason, these lessons stick in my brain. I think it's a combination of the hearing/seeing at the same time along with the repetition. Two suggestions: add the kanji next to the hiragana, and add a little writing (kinesthetic).

This app teaches you how to construct a sentence easily through repetition. The previous lesson's material would also carry over to the next lesson, which allows you to remember things from the previous lessons and not forget what you've learned so far. Make sure to turn on the kana display (instead of romaji) if you feel comfortable with them. It will help you learn the kanas quickly.

You cannot turn off the screen while using the program so in a pocket or bag when it gets bumped the lesson will stop. Other than draining the battery unnecessarily the programs good.

I do wish that the quizzes weren't 5 questions at a time and that there is a collective dictionary of all the vocabulary learned. I also wish that the Android version didn't have the speakers talk so slowly... However, the lessons are on fleek! The multiple examples may seem repetitive, but that's the point of learning a new language. Arigatou ~

I'm another who bought this on ios first. This is like the earlier version on ios but lacking 3 things in particular:-1 there are no hirigana and katakana tables which I found useful . 2 there is no complete menu for vocab. 3no superquiz. There is also a problem with sound levels being different as each person speaks however I Do much prefer this version with only the teacher and 1 female native speaker (as in the in the older ios) i did not like having a male and female native speaker on the later ios

It may not be everyone's cup of tea (let's face it, we all have different methods of learning). All you need to know is that it's cheap and it helps you learn Japanese rather quickly as long as you stick with the program.

Overall, this app is great for what it who it was intended for. I am disappointed with which information was chosen to be shown later rather than soon, introductions, apologies, and some other basic information were not shown until late into the lessons. In addition, even though I've completed all 51 lessons, it is still showing only 50 completed, even though I see 5 out 5 shown for each individual lesson.

Lower Quality Images compared to iOS Version. Lower Quality Text-Bubbles compared to iOS Version. Lower Quality "Flow" compared to iOS Version. More focus must be spent on the "Writing" section (my suggestion is to have the learner write the symbol repeatedly while the name is read, and then compare the writings to the example). Improvements are EXTREMELY NECESSARY in order to keep learning engaging.

This is a great app. Easy to learn but the android version doesn't have flashcards, super quizzes and when adding words to your vocabulary your only option is to add them one word at a time unlike the iPhone version there you can add the entire lessons vocabulary in one click. Please fix!

A "would be" essential app for any beginner in Japanese. However this Android version is very limited in features compared to the iPhone version, which costs the same price.

Have tried quite a few methods to learn Japanese—including studying grammar, listening to audio recordings, and using several applications. This one has proven to be the most helpful. It isn't magic—you will still need to practice a lot. The good thing is that each lesson is short and easy to follow, even if you're having a hectic schedule. The lessons include audio in English and in Japanese, and the text can be configured to appear either in Romaji or in Hiragana. Each lesson also includes a section with the new vocabulary, a section where you learn a new hiragana/katakana character, and a quiz section with multiple-choice questions for practice. I wish the quiz sections had more exercises. The iPhone edition includes some "super-quiz" sections with exercises covering the previous 5-7 lessons. Sadly, as of this writing, these "super-quizzes" are not available in the Android version. Another small complain would be that the Android application is not really optimized for tablets; the text, even in the highest size, is too small. That said, this is a solid application for beginners to study Japanese. I really wish the application had more lessons.

This is an amazing app for starting out in learning the Japanese language. Teaches a lot in friendly terms that anyone can understand. I paid for this app on my iPhone and then it was the first app I paid for (again) on my Android when I switched over. Worth every penny.
