Snapseed

HOLY $#¡7! This tool is starting to encroach on Photoshop level. It's already been an amazing tool for making quick edits to photos, but if you can learn to use the new Double Exposure tool (basically Masking) and the edit brush (the brush under View Edits -> pop-up menu on an edit) you can actually do full background replacements. If they combined these features with the really handy Selection tool I'd be even more happy than I already am.

This application smokes out Photoshop, Light room for most of my process flow. I hardly feel the need for Adobe products but, still need them to handle Camera RAW files. I hope the developers add them soon, moreover I would like to see a desktop version of this app, as editing photos on a desktop is lot more convenient. Combination of Snapseed with Nik collection will smoke out the competition. Brilliant app indeed!!!!

I can't rate this app high enough. Firstly it's completely free and has most of the qualities that premium paid for apps have. Secondly, once you get used to the layout of the editing features it's beautifully simplistic, yet fully effective. Great filters too for those not wishing to manually tweak photos! It's a no brainer. Great app, well done Google!

Amazing app. It has changed the way I edit photos! I rarely use Photoshop now except for some very specific tasks. The only thing that I implore you Google, is to thoroughly test the app before releasing updates. When editing a DNG RAW photo selecting white balance will freeze the app. Also on saving it crashes at the developing stage. When these are fixed and the app becomes usable again I will change my review to 5 stars

This app works best as a photo fixing tool. It beats all other photo editors in this segment. Ambience, Structure, Expand and Face Enhance are unique features. But Liquify/Reshape tool is missing, Dodge & burn has no undo option. And also there's no Light Leaks. Effects are unrealistic like Pixlr. As for realistic Effects/Lights Cymera is the king.

Its very easy to use. It has limitted and simple inventories to choose from. I love the app. But you cannot save or press back button. All your edits are gone if you unknowingly pressed home button. App is not shown in recent items. That is the only thing ai didn't like about the app. Everything else is good and lovely.

I love snapseed! This specific program gives me full range for professional editing for free. People always ask me if I use photoshop and the answer is no. Snapseed is my go to editing software to perfect my photographs. It's so easy to use! And your photos aren't resized or compressed to my knowledge so you keep the original quality. I highly recommend this app. You won't be disappointed :))

The best photo editing app I have ever seen. Great features + Simple & easy to use = Extraordinary pictures. I am a long time PicsArt user and want have a feature that this app is missing. And that feature is "Colour Splash" . It's just a request. But above all this, Google nailed it. I never thought Google to be an excellent and outstanding company in this field.

First off this is my go to editor it is amazing! so many quality options please keep updating with more photoshop esq features like cut, paste and layers. having 1 issue though not sure if its snapseed or instagram. when editing in raw, using the selective feature and exporting to .jpg, instagram will no longer load the photo in its gallery when trying to select a photo to share. i have to re-edit the photo and save with another app and then it will show in the gallery. any chance this is an issue on snapseeds side with the way it exports the raw photo?...but even with that 5 stars hands down could not recommend higher!

Noooo! What did you do to Snapseed! I liked it before - it was easy to use and I loved it so much. There was nothing wrong with it, it was perfect, best photo editing app out there. I hate the new version - it's too complicated and complex. Bring back the old version as another app!

What this app does, it does extremely well. This app can't do everything, but it doesn't claim to. If you want something that offers lots of utility, then try PicsArt. If you want an app to take your photos off your camera and quickly perfect them for a mobile screen then Snapseed is for you. I don't know how Adobe has so many mobile apps yet not one functions this well.

I've had this a few years ago and loved it. When I got a new tablet, I tried different editing apps. I thought they were just as good until I decided to download Snapseed again. I didn't know what I was missing. I won't switch again. Snapseed gives a professional edit while many others just give you things to play with.

Amazing photo editor. Great for blurring out backgrounds and adding hdr, vintage, and more effects and filters. Has become like an addiction. Showed my friends what it can do and they downloaded it right away. Best and easiest photo editor and filter adder I've ever used.

I have been using all Photoshop desktop versions since cs2. This app is absolutely amazing and can do a lot of what Photoshop can do in a very nice format, so easy to use and very powerful. For instance it has curve adjustments and an histogram and skin softner. I can't believe that this is free and without ads. Some people complain about it not handling large files, folks keep in mind this is a phone app not a pc software. In the app world this is a 10 star. The only improvement I would like to see as a photographer would be on the crop tool. It uses awkward preset ratio? Better ratio would be 4x6 ,5x7, 8x10 which are standard printing size. An option to crop for Instagram size would be an added bonus. Excellent work dev. This app sets the bar!

Yup. All the reviews are true. This is amazing. All the tools that i use on Photoshop are literally on my finger tips now. For people like us who find joy in enhancing a picture it's the perfect mobile app. People i referred it to are still wary because of the number of settings one can play with but for those who have worked with PS will find this the ultimate answer on one's phone. Job well done developers & Google.

The ap is great loved specially for phones.. had one suggestion for the same . The way it has given "selective" edit option for colours i was wondering how if we also add the focus and blurr option for the selective object or however the image processing suits the app. Else the the app. is still awesome.. keep it up guyss..

Real All-in-One tool. Make the workflow very easy: edit .DNG files from Google Drive straight away, great tools, and also quite nice quality! What im missing is the option to adjust the JPEG compression, and make larger files (means more data/details), hope we can get it in the future.

The power and ease of use of Snapseed is without parallel, however edited photos are saved as a separate file with timestamp of the edit instead of the original date taken. This creates conflicts with Google Photos backup, the pictures are out of order and both - edited and original are kept. Why not just use the undo stack of Google Photos and save over the original?

10 out of 5 stars. This is the Bomb, takes me seconds to do, what I would probably have to spend a lot more on Photoshop. And all this for free. THIS IS THE ULTIMATE PHOTO EDITING APP on all of App Store

Awesome app!! No support for .arw from my a6000??! I can edit jpegs on my Chromebook and s7 edge and I'm loving it! Only thing I would like at the moment is to have support for raw editing an .arw and also a way to save so you could finish editing later.. like a PSD on Photoshop.

Simply the best! With one touch you can change your photo into work of arts! Good job guys. But the double exposure doesn't delivered the good result as Pixlr app can offered. Thats why I downgraded you from 5 stars to 3 stars!

The app is great but it lacks the 3D effect on the Text and Double Exposure. We should be able to change the perspective settings on those edits. Other than that this is the app to go if you want to edit pictures and you don't have much ps knowledge like me.

This is the all in one editor you need for all your photos... And it keeps getting better and better day by day... It can make any dull photo to colorful, vibrant and lively instantly... When it's come to editing any of my photos I use only snapseed

Really very happy with this application. Editing photos are so damn easy. The user interface is also best in class. Previously used other editing apps but the app's used to be heavy on my phone, I had to wait for long time while rendering the photos but this app does that so easily.

Upgrading to new version ruined everything. Every time I try to open a photo, it says couldn't load the photo. No app crash happens. Just photo wouldn't open. Is there anyway I can provide an error log or something that you guys can use to fix the problem?

When it comes down to it, Snapseed is the only photo editing app I need. No matter if you're a professional photographer or just messing around, this app will fit your needs.

Everytime I try to use "selective" my photo turns pitch black! Why is that? How am I supposed to see the part which I want to edit if its all black?!?! Please fix it! The older version worked great!! Why change something thats not broken. Really disappointed, as its one of my favorite features.

As a photographer, I like it but it overwrites the EXIF data with the time of saving. I know this is a small thing but it messes the the order of the pictures of an album if you sort it chronologically. Is there a workaround for this? edit: requesting for a graduated neutral density filter would be great in editing landscapes

Great app. Really wish i could edit my google photos without having to upload another copy. Its to much of a pain so i just don't. Either integrate this app into google photos or vice versa. I dont want to make a copy i want to edit the copy on google photos which i have already put in an album and organized.

To have the ability to (almost) use Nik Effects on my mobile device is simply game-changing!!! Amazingly complete application that - now that you can throw DNG files at it - has replaced everything I used before (even LR)! Couldn't be happier!

There's something wrong when i use feature "selective" my picture turn to solid black, and nothing can i do, except undo and not use this feature again. So this feature is useless for me. Before these latest version, "selective" feature is my favorite after "tune image" and "tonal contrast" to corect my picture. Please fix this, or explain what happen. I use Cross A7S with Android Jelly Bean. Thanks.

I have a Samsung J1 and when I click 'Tune Image' to edit it, the picture turns into a black screen!

Quite a powerful tool, if it works. Which it doesn't 98% of the time. Using OnePlus 2 on 7.1.2, this app crashes every single time I try to save edits to a raw file. No matter if it's the original nef from my DSLR or converted into a dng... Only turning it into a jpeg helps, which defies the whole purpose of raw editing. Good for pics taken with the phone

Oh boy this app has taken the game to a new level..puts several bulky editing softwares to shame.. the app is so good that I don't even need photoshop or LR for processing.. functioning and results bothe are by far the best.. try it before u say anything..If ur anywhere near pro u wont ever reject this gem.. thanks to the Developers..

Extremely unreliable app. Crashes all the time when editing dngs on xiaomi mi5. I am switching to Adobe Lightroom now and I am not going back to Snapseed for it wasted too much time of mine.

Love the app. Been using it for years. But there's one problem I've been facing since a while. Whenever I take a picture on my phone using manual mode..basically a RAW picture. When I come to Snapseed to edit it. It automatically opens the RAW picture editor. This is where the problem arises. The picture changes! Like it's quite different from the original one in the gallery...this is before even doing a single edit. If you could kindly look into this. Because I rely a Lot on this app. I've been having to do a Lot of work just to get that original version into your app and then edit it.

I can't access my gallery. I was really looking forward to using this app but it won't let me access my photos. I try to select a photo, but it opens my cloud instead of my phones gallery. As well, it has a very limited capability and poor quality double exposure.

Best Editing app that every dslr holder wants...new update is cool..face lighten and new way to transform.. thats what i want..and latest update is just far beyond yhe imagination..pose... Changing direction of the face...smile..just download this.nothing is better than this app

Lose the "insights" banner. It's very annoying. Should be an option on the 1st screen only. While working on an image, there's no reason to have distractions on the screen. Remove it please.

My search for the best photo editor is now over after downloading it. It's really the father of all the apps. I've downloaded many photo editing apps but never satisfied. But now I can say that this is the best photo editor app. Very simple and smart.
