About DevDrawer

DevDrawer is a widget based app for developers who are constantly installing / uninstalling / clearing data on their projects.

I find myself searching through the appdrawer everytime I re-install an application. With this widget you provide a package filter, when an app is installed and it matches the package filter the app will be automatically added to the widget.

From the Dev Drawer widget you can launch the app or launch the app details settings view for the app to uninstall / clear data etc.

Great tool to have when you develop an app and need to keep it on the homescreen even when uninstalling and reinstalling

Don't know what I'd do without this! - But I'm having to find out :( It doesn't show up in my widgets list. :(

This has been a huge help in speeding up development.

And also android addicts like me who are constantly changing, resetting, and trying a bunch of new apps all the time. Haven't had a single problem and no matter how my phone is set up I keep one packed with launchers which I constantly change, and one for misc stuff on popup widgets from a screen edge gesture always. Solid code dev

This app is just too good :) Since we produce alot of apps Dev Drawer widget proves to be invaluable since it keeps all the apps organised and relevant functions at hand (uninstall, settings). I would only suggest that you really look into refresh functionality since as far as I know Google changed widget behavior in the past and now it does not refresh as often as one would like it to.

Great app but cant useon new phone. App constantly crashes on my oneplus2, oxygen OS. When typing into the "widget name" EditText.

Love it ! I've been using this for a while, and I can't live without it. It's so easy to handle my installed applications, but it would be great to have the option to exclude some applications, like tests.

Best app dev side kick

Should be built-in.

Brilliantly simple

Seeing apps appear in the widget more than once. Also it'd be nice to be able to filter packages ending in .test. Clearing all the packages and re-adding them seemed to help.

Don't know what I'd do without this!

It crashes lots of times when I try to add a package, and always crashes when I set the widget name

Broken for a month. Ouch. Love this app... but it lost my entry for my main project and now I can't even see how to add it back in?

T70%

This is one of the first things I install on apps now. By far the easiest way to keep a list of all my dev apps in one place.

C70%
by C####:

thanks. I finally make it work based on your reply. both widget and shortcut work now. but I don't get why I must add a widget first.

Please use dots such as ... to indicate a shortened app name if the text field is not wide enough

Great tool, this saves me tons of time, and love that the app you are tracking survives un-installs.

Which is not cool :( Don't get me wrong I still love this app! But this was a bit frustrating.

R70%
by R####:

My package list was cleared, and the UI doesn't look like it's finished. There seem to be placeholder and unused fields. Still a very useful app, but this last update seemed premature

Useful for developers, all your apps automatically appear in one place and are easily managed.

I don't understand why, but nothing is shown at widget even after re-adding package names. I'm a little bit in stuck. Android 4.0.3, Nova launcher

...with one major hang up - there is no way to refresh the list! I often get stale data and there is not any option anywhere to refresh - pull2refresh would be ideal.

It performs an extremely basic, but very useful function for Android developers who need quick access to their work. I look forward to seeing more versions with helpful developer functions.

That means that your app has to check if another instance is already running if you don't want multiple instance to run at the same time.

This was on my list of apps to write. Nice implementation.
