Secret Santa App

For the most part this app is good. An update needs to occur that doesn't send out people's recipients if an email address is incorrect. Also I have had issues with people not receiving their secret Santa despite the correct information bring inputted.

I added all of the names and emails, and have tried to send them out 3 times but only the first person I entered has been getting the emails. No where or any buttons for me to press for troubleshooting. I think it would have been good had it worked. Going to find another app

I have been getting emails incessantly from this app and there is no "unsubscribe" option. I think someone is using the wrong address. Thirteen emails in the last three hours. For the love of God, I did not sign up for this. And you wonder why you end up caught in spam filters... You can absolutely add an unsubscribe feature (blacklist or ask users to accept the request and future emails). Block repeat sends too. You're responsible as a developer for maintaining control. If you can't, into the spam you go.

Just make sure you have the correct email addresses for all your family members or friends that will be in the exchange. I had to do it twice since I had a wrong email address, so an edit feature for just 1 person would be great. I entered sixteen names plus the email addresses and everyone got someone has their secret Santa. This worked for us since it was hard to get everyone together at the same time to draw names for the holidays. Thank you. Merry Christmas in advance.

The only draw back I find is that you can't have more than one group. I'm involved in 2 different Secret Santa's this year, so I had to delete all the names in order to draw for the second group.

Didn't need any extra functionality so this app was great for me. But as others have said, be careful to avoid typos. Once you save a name, there is no editing allowed.

One person out of my 11 said they didn't get the email. It doesn't give any sort of managers list or resend so I had to email everyone asking them to tell me who they had got so I could work out who that one person should buy for. Would have been so much easier just doing it myself.

Definitely recommend, only thing needed is a restriction for some people to make sure that couples dont get each other. Other than that it worked so well, the emails went to spam folders so was left checking for a while.

I used this app to send to my team of 39 peeps and then i discovered 3 of them did not receive any emails. Not even in their junk folder... how do i know who get who so that i can narrow down the one that did not get any secret santa duty...?

Great idea in principal. Test run with 3 people worked well. Added 17 people from work. 1 didn't get the email we found out 2 days later. Now we are left wondering if said person was supposed to get an email, or someone to buy for- is anyone buying for him? Very stressful and should just be fun

Some emails failed to send and no report only option send all again. This time it picked different person a recipient. Again not all emails sent.

It does what is meant to be and sent players an email with the name of your friend randomly picked. No one will know who was picked for you.

I tried 2 times to send the emails to my family group but the 2 times 2 or 3 family members didn't receive the email, at the begining I thought that the spelling was the issue then after all the emails were checked, and we all checked the junk mail 2 family members did not received the email the 1st time, I decided to try The 2nd time, again didn't work now this time 3 different family member didn't receive the email.

Ive used it twice for 2 different Secret Santa groups. Didnt have any issues!

It is such a great app, but if I were the app creator, I would have included like instructions first. The whole time I was wondering how?

One person didn't receive an email that was definitely put in correctly. This ruined it and had to be done the old fashioned way of drawing names out of a hat. Also be better to have a feature that prevent partners from getting each other.

I loved it! But I don't wish I could put in a phone number and it text them, it would be a lot more efficient for some of my friends.

Does what it's supposed to do with ease. Would like to possibly add some built in restrictions such as Price Limit, and who can't pick who (to keep couples seperate).

So the emails ended up in the spam folder. I had to edit my review. This works and I definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to do secret santa but aren't necessarily close to draw the names out of a bowl. Super user friendly

On the whole, very well made app, although I would like one thing changed: when presented with a name and email screen, the tick and the cross are the wrong way round. Other than that, great app

It doesnt send the e-mails, i checked and they are all right but an error message always come up!

It did exactly what it was supposed to. Should be able to put in a couple of lines for hints about what you like. Should also be able to blacklist so certain people can't get each other

would be nice to make groups within the app and that you can make a profile too. that way you back back track with the app vs email.

Only down fall is that we can't pair spouses. That would help so we don't have to keep drawing again or exchange when some receive their spouse.

So it works well but if there was an option to create different groups and or to place phone numbers instead of emails for texts i think it would be a lot better.

Title. Really nice app, but a Black list would be nice so certain people can't be secret Santa to each other

I loved the simplicity of this app. It gives you a chance to add notes before sending. Enter emails and send!

Terrible app, one of my friends ended with two gifts(a girl) and another without a gift, obviously a glitch, which made it very uncomfortable for everyone

Family is all scattered and wanted to do secret Santa and this just took all the complication and pressure away

Only one person got the email, the first one on the list. Weird the person who got it was Gmail but ones who didn't were all hotmail

Very simple and user friendly, and while the app does the job, with these few options, this could be a real winner. 1) the ability to create multiple groups 2) ability for individuals share their wishlist.

I added my name and email but it won't let me add anyone else. Lame!

Everyone recieved their emails except for those who have hotmails or live mails.

This app keeps the drawing anonymous by sending emails. It's convenient because participants do not need to meet in order to draw names.

Worked great for our family Secret Santa draw. Would love to see the addition of a "wishlist" functionality where we could add a few wishlist items that the recipient could easily see sent along with the name of their draw.

I used this app for a Secret Santa group between three couples. I was able to put the guys into one group and the girls into another. The app is easy to use and is a great solution to your Secret Santa drawings.

this app sucks, i have a group of 12 people and only 3 got the email

It's very good but just a thought maybe add a restriction or blacklist. for example if I add my name in and my partner I would not be allowed to get my partner. so maybe a pair option so they can't pick each other. This would be good for family use as we don't buy adults gifts just the kids and we want adults to have something to open. Then the partners won't get each other as that's too easy.

The only thing missing is the ability to make corrections! It would be five stars if you had the option to fix a typo in a name or email and be able to resend it to that correct email address! Otherwise does its job well!

Is ok, but can't create separate groups. Can't make changes or save a list. I had to Uninstall and enter contacts again :/
