The app needs more work on it. 3 drawbacks are noted. 1. Can't connect to nas through internet, only local WiFi connection. 2. Can't review notes offline. You need to connected locally to seen the notes. 3. Some of inserted images in the note are not loaded to be viewed. You don't have the option to download them as well.

Meh, not great. I use the app daily, for private password storage and retrieval. It's secure, which is why I use it, but lacks features of competitors. Top 2 Features Qnotes needs so we can organize and find our notes faster: 1.) Sorting Filters. Need to be able to sort notes alphabetically, in ascending or descending order. That's so basic, but it's missing. We need a way to auto-arrange our notes. The workaround is dragging and dropping newly created notes into their proper place within my (manually) alphabetically arranged list - but it's a huge time suck! (The scroll speed when dragging and dropping is too slow - speed it up please) 2.) Search function!! Ability to search by title or keyword! SO BASIC Don't force us to create tags for every note - that's too messy. Let us search by keyword or title!

All saved text files seem to translate, eg, "it's" to "it's". Alas this makes an otherwise valuable app fairly useless. LATER: The "it's" problem seems now to have been fixed. However, the new showstopper is that the Android client fails with Swype. Auto-spacing between swipes isn't respected, so words end up allconnectedtogether. The app doesn't seem to have built-in bug reporting (surely a benchmark requirement by now?), which is why I'm having to report this here. I hope this time QNAP (excellent NAS, by the way) will acknowledge and respond.

Swipe keyboard doesn't work inside qnotes. Not intuitive menu, difficult to find needed functions.

When can we expect the app to work with the new notestation? Should add the ability to handwrite/draw in notes.

C70%
by C####:

unstable! Very slow. Notes can not be secured with pwd. Whole app is lagging. Another garbage app from QNAP!!!

Share via option is missing ( you can't share a jpg file from other app) updating tag every time you open app. search option is missing etc.

Now it fails to start after upgrade to marshmallow on galaxy s5. .....Update of this post after uninstalling and reinstalling app it is back to working. Whish app could tell when it crashes and allow nas config to be removed... but it's qnap... they seem not to have a clue how to get their software working and remain that way across upgrades

1. major issue - after i enable 2 step verification cannot connect to Qnap station. 2. it needs a quick note button, i have to many steps to take before i even start configuring the type of note, and doesn't have free hand write note. i will change after at least 1 problem fixed

I bought my Nas server for file syncing and to replace Evernote. It's so slow, the UI lack usability and so unstable, not to mention luck of Outlook clipper, that for me is almost unusable. It could be nice for some note taking which are not relevant to you but never, ever to replace Evernote. I will continue to pay for Evernote and wait for Qnap to really make a difference on their products.

My calender dont shows the numbers and entries! But nice apps in combination with my qnap

H70%

I'm fairly impressed with the way the notes look and the types of notes that you can take with it. But sorely missing is the ability to find text within a note. Evernote is still much better at retrieving notes that you have taken. If QNAP can add this functionality, it would go a long way to replacing Evernote or other cloud based note services.

Application fullfill my expectations but there are 2 major drawbacks. 1. During editing a note it is not possible to paste copied text from another application. Second is telated to the notes station. Rss notes do not update their content.

Try using calendar on Motorola g3 no numbers on calendar amateur company amateur app have qnap ts 251 and cannot believe how long it took for these fools to release good software that works

B70%
by B####:

I wish QNAP would simplify their apps. The UI is too clunky and I'm forced to have sections within folders when all I want to use are folders. Just like QNAPs other apps, this one fails for being too inefficient and cumbersome to use.

I can not understand what is point there. We can not send or share someting from another apps. For what is Notes if we can not share web adress or add email to note or task....Nice apps but for nothing.

I would like to have the ability to open qnote app from widget not only specific notes, there is already the icon on taskbar but is inactive, please activate it!!! The second is that the widget doesn't refresh it self... (the notes that displays don't change with the most frequent opened ones either the content of them)

I'm getting rid of my Blackberry in a month and trying to find a suitable replacement for my many notes. Here are the shortcomings of this app: -Unable to change the sort order of the notes -Cannot search within notes or search for notes -Dependant on a connection to your QNAP to work properly -Too easy to delete entire notes when swiping through note list

Doesn't auto discover the NAS on my home network, has to be set-up manually. Slow and annoying sync, should be done in the background. The calender really isn't working when it's restricted to the app itself. When will there be a real calendar server function?

X70%
by X####:

I love the fact that qnap owners get a note station! I just find myself using Google Keep because it's just so simple. I just open the app, make a note or checklist and exit. I don't have to manually save anything and it's simple to share with others. I'd like to see this simplicity brought to Qnote/Notestation.

This could be a OneNote killer for me. Needs to be more polished and formatted for Tablets. In addition, the ability to write with a stylus (S-Pen) in my case would be required. Close, but not quite there yet.

This app is a great concept and with hard work it could really be amazing. However right now it isn't even all in English try logging out and its half Chinese I think. 95% in English still useable. Also will only sync with Wi-Fi. Fails when trying to sync over 4g or with secure connection on WiFi or 4g. The organization for notes is too convoluted with multiple subfolders. Lots of little bugs that need fixing and a UI overhaul. I can't wait for more updates and improvements. Thanks!

I have configured my NAS with a different ssl port and when I installed the app on the NAS and my phone the NAS app couldn't load the web page & the Android app couldn't logon! The Android app can only logon successfully without ssl connection.
