Messenger for Facebook

I love this app! It's sleek, small and combines Facebook and messenger all in one. Having said all of that, I rated it 5 stars because there is an option to go ad free. Clicking on it does not work! Its literally a dead link. You tap on it and it does nothing. This is an app I would pay well for of that option were available! Enable that feature and I'll increase my rating to 5 stars.

Nice and small and stable but the free version draws advertising and it's oversize floating button OVER the facebook page, and duplicates the top buttons unnecessarily. The bottom advertising actually BLOCKS the comment submit button when editing comments, making it useless for me. Messaging is good and lightweight- the best reason to use it.

Absolutely incredible! This app is what Facebook should be - Messenger and Facebook shouldn't be separate. I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to simplify their Facebook and save time. The only thing I wish this app had is a paid version without advertisements, but the ads are only at the bottom of the screen and not a big deal. Developer please add a paid version to remove the ads and possibly get better features.

This app reminds me of Facebook of old. All in one app that is less clutter and easy to use. The reason it's not 5 stars for me is the ad that constantly takes up the bottom of your screen with no option to pay and get rid of it! I'd gladly pay a few bucks to have this app as long as it continually updated and maintain its simplicity and light footprint.

I love this app! It has most of the functionality but doesn't take up all my memory like the FB and Messenger apps do. My only complaint so far is that I can't edit comments, or rather, I can edit but I can't save the changes because the ad covers the save button. Other than that, it is awesome so far!

I installed this app because the official FB and messenger apps don't work on my tablet, and FB doesn't provide a web interface for messenger on mobile. Messenger works well in this app, but gives no notifications. That, and the fact that the ads sometimes cover important UI elements/buttons, are the reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5.

This app is perfect for me. Before, I was unable to read messages through Facebook on my phone because I didn't have FB Messanger. I refused to use that app because it wanted too many permissions and took up too much space. But THIS app is perfect. I can do everything I want to on Facebook (including reading/sending msgs), it doesn't take up nearly as much space, and no invasive permissions. Whomever created this, Thank You!

As soon as I installed this app, my other app account got hacked. The other app apparently somehow connects to Facebook (what doesn't, these days?). The actual function of this app is fine. It does what I need it to do, and it doesn't use up a lot of data (also option to not display images of you really want to conserve data usage) so I think it's good especially when you are traveling internationally.

Wow???? This is so far the best apps I downloaded..Very simple, just have a small used memory and very convenient!???????? I like this, two in one apps! How did this apps not popular!? Although there are some features that this apps does not apps but dude! This is great specially when u just have a small storage like me???????????? ...GREAT APPS SO FAR...

Ever since downloading this, my Galaxy s6 has frequently started to crash. The app also rarely gives me pop up notifications when I get actual Facebook chat messages, but instead has been giving me notifications every half hour from a group post which I have already seen.

Haven't used it yet. Can play store block the rating requests until the apps are at least fully opened, loaded and set up.? Sophia AI Robot, please madame, help Google and other stores with a rating algorithm that does not present false data ? Thank you Sophia AI Hanson. Love you.

Was working now all I get is fb and massager won't connect and I'm getting a popup for a code that Idk what it is cause I never done a cold. I do love it when it was working and fb is faster but can't use fb messagner and that's kinda why I downloaded this. Im going to uninstall it for now but will consider trying again later if it improves. Thanks

THANK YOU for this app! Small, lite, loads SUPER fast AND stays 100% current on the newsfeed. Only complaint: you have to share photos by adding them from files. The 'share to' option also does not show when sharing photos from gallery. Otherwise, GREAT APP!!

Seems to be a good app, but it keeps notifying me "recieve notifications by sms"... I click the notification and it says 'page not found'. Then later it notifys me again, then again, then again. I cant find any way to stop this and its VERY annoying, so only 3 stars for now.

It's pretty good! I like how it's both Facebook and Messenger in ONE app! Both apps had stopped functioning for me, so this app saved me! The only issues I've noticed so far are: 1) There doesn't seem to be a beta version? Beta is best! 2) The ads cover the last comment on all posts. I understand the need for ads, but could you adjust the screen so that the bottom of the page can still be seen above the ad? 3) The button with the plus sign, I wish there was a setting to hide that if you wanted to. It's given me a hard time when I want to press send on a comment. 4) This isn't nearly as important as the other things, but more choices for themes would be cool, other then just dark, pink and weird 90's Windows looking teal lol.

Adverts running across the bottom obscured reply/post/send buttons so pretty pointless if you need to actually post anything or reply. So i had to delete as useless to me. Probably would have kept if not for that stupid "feature"

I get access to FB ad Messaging without having to give away my privacy in the way of FB's unfettered access to my camera and mic, etc. at any time without my knowledge. That should be illegal. Anyway, great app. Everything you need nothing you don't.

This would be a great app if there was a way to take the ads off of the page or make them smaller. There is no tab for making the ads go away. The ads are so large that they interfere with what is on the screen. I'm going to keep this for another few days in here or I will delete it.

Having Facebook and Messenger in one app is great. Frees up a lot of space. Only 2 complaints. 1-The ads on the bottom get in the way and 2-The plus sign in the huge blue circle is really annoying and in the way. It blocks the send button on Facebook. With those two things fixed it would be perfect.

Despite not having full Facebook/messenger functionality, this is the best Facebook app on market. I had misfortune to install Facebook's own aggressive, terminalky bloated app, and would rather throw my phone into toilet than do that again. This app is a lifesaver!

I abhor the Facebook app for Android, and Messenger. Both are poorly optimised, laggy messes that detract from the experience of using the service. This isn't perfect, but the fact I don't need two separate apps for the same thing is a bonus. Also, it doesn't ask me for my favourite food, address, phone number and job title constantly like some detail obsessed psychopath. Appreciated

This app is called MESSENGER, but it's impossible to use it like that! At first it ordered me to use normal messenger for fb, after I tried to change some settings and that panel above just disappeared! Apparently, I have to enjoy feeds till the end of my life! Disgusting

Stupid. It opens your Facebook too which I do not want. Facebook is the equivalent of an adult daycare. The amount of ignorance is astounding. Facebook is for people with no life. I just want messenger. The default app has way too many problems that they refuse to acknowledge.

Saves so much battery, the Facebook app takes so much space and for years I refused to download messenger just to really hate the app when I finally caved I knew I had made a mistake. The current messenger app is absolutely awful and always froze my device. This app makes me very happy, I can check my Facebook with out all of the issues.

When trying to post a + symbol comes up over the reply or update button. Very frustrating. I do love it allows less memory to be taken up. Miss the messenger alerts though.

Please relocate the advertisement at the bottom. If you can't comment on your friends posts or your own posts it makes this app almost worthless. Otherwise I love the app it's lightweight and does everything that Facebook will do with two very large apps

FB messenger kept crashing in me. After re-installing it several times I stumbled upon this app. FB and messenger in one. No problems. Why can't FB be like this? There loss.

I like it that's small but it never popped out to notify me someone's calling or texting(with the notification on). Missed a lot of phone calls and text messages.

I have a memory problem wit mah phone and been look around greatly for a lite facebook/messenger but they ALL fell short!!...Except this one!! Good job guys!!

I've tried many, many times to buy the pro version, but apparently that is disabled or something as the button doesn't work to buy it. Now I'm stuck with ads I don't want,and they're in a bar at the bottom of your screen. This actually makes it impossible to edit comments, because the ad bar gets in the way, and no pro version offered. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS APP!

The FB page is great but I can't do anything with FB messenger. It keep saying page not found. When it does pop in when I try typing a message the word appear the disappear. ????????

Yes! Right now I'm trying to get a message from a friend, and I'm having trouble with it. So we will see? The old man:

Crashes 90% of the time in the messenger part. When it crashes it usually goes to my FB home page. Sometimes hanges up with blank screen. Using Android 4.1.1. Messenger has no smileys, only selection for large stickers. Useless app. Deserves black hole instead of 1 star.

This app is the best Facebook app I've seen in a long time, HOWEVER, it places ads over the buttons you need to see, so you can't see them or use them. After a while, it becomes EXTREMELY frustrating to the point where I don't even want to use it anymore.

So far I like it but why do I get an add that says I have viruses and it is relentlessly reappearing? I may uninstall because it won't stay away.

Does everything I need without taking up so much space - and allows me to access FB & Messenger in one app! Love it! Is there a paid version with no ads? I would pay for it!

I like it but won't let me type messages on messanger. My writing disapears,even uninstalled,same issue. Fix and I'll give you 5 stars. For now it's of no use to me.

It is very slow and clunky. A lot of things just don't work on it. But it is faster at downloading and installing than regular messenger

Good little app. I don't like giff messages on face book they do things to my keyboard . This app gets rid of the trouble and my decent keyboard returns to me . Nice also goes right into Facebook no probs.
