Smart IR Remote - AnyMote

Works great and has tons of customization features. I use an old S5 as a universal remote in my living room and this app helps me configure it exactly how I want it. I also have my Echo Dot synced to it so as long as it's pointing to the TV I can control some things with Alexa, it's pretty neat. The only issue so far is with the widget. Sometimes it shows unused buttons even though the option to hide them is turned on, but a little playing around with it eventually fixes it. I really wish my S8+ had an IR blaster because I loved having this app. Definitely recommended

This is a very good and comprehensive app and well worth the money. There is a problem with the remote for Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus one which I have reported to the developers. There is quite a lot I don't fully understand. For example if the developers updates or corrects one of the supported remotes that I use, would it get automatically updated or would I have to delete and reload? And if I do have to do that, how would I know? Also, if a wifi version of an ir remote becomes available, how would I know? It would be helpful if there was a newsletter or user forum.

All devices I have, some old some new, can be controlled by this app, including my fire tv. I've tried others and have had issues with some functions. All working great with this app. Update: I gave this app 5 stars because until now it was a 5 star app. I got a new phone and downloaded this app again with my Google account and now it work work. It says it can't find my anymote. I'm not sure what that means. I just want to use the app again please help.

Update : Terrible app! Was great as a stand alone app but now you need to spend $90 for an AnyMote home. I paid for this app to use it as a remote control. I'd like a refund if you don't go back to the old app or a free anymote home. By far the best remote app. It controls my Samsung TV, Yamaha sound system and can create buttons to control my ps3. Worth the money!

The app works great and is highly customizable. My only gripe is that the notification appears at random times and there does not appear to be a way to prevent this from happening. I ended up having to disable the notification all together to stop this from happening. I emailed Color Tiger about it, asking if there was anything I could do about the notification and they never replied.

Such a frustrating app. Keeps forgetting the button assignment, at least once a week. I'm constantly reprogramming the thing as buttons randomly become unresponsive. Its usefulness made me overlook it at first, but after months of this I'm almost ready to uninstall this. Hate it.

I've been using this app for quite sometime on a smartphone and a tablet. At the begining I have always praised it, even with a few quirks here and there in earlier version, it was worth the purchase with all the great features like the ever-so-important backup and recover feature that has saved me so many times. It satisfies this control freak. I'm able to control a range of my gadgets like TV, AppleTV, even my standing oscillating fan, all within a few taps from where ever I am in my smartphone or tablet! Over time, updates have always brought a nice surprise like a tuned feature or a new feature. The latest major update is not only a spit shine polish but it also brings some very nice improvements and new features that make using the app a new and enjoyable experience. The developers have done an excellent job over the life of this app and I am really impressed with the quality and professional feel it has developed into. Keep up the great work Color Tiger!

Can't use widgets because they disappear with every update... And it doesn't automatically save the custom remotes to the cloud.. You have to manually back them up after any changes...

Great universal remote. I especially like the IFTTT integration, which works well. I have an old android phone allowing me to control my system via alexa or google home with this and ifttt. Unfortunately, the direct alexa interface isn't that great.

The layout is not very user friendly, and remotes disappear. Too expensive for what you get. SURE Smart remote is much better, and it is free. I do however like the ability to set up multiple commands to be executed with one button. Note to developer: Please contact me if you are willing to make a few changes, as I have a few ideas that could really help make it 5 stars in my opinion!

Network commands have stopped working on all of my devices!!!! ??? Wigets need lots of work. But best remote available by far. It can do anything. I wish it had Smartthings integration. Alexa integration has never worked. Home components are switching to Wi-Fi http get commands so I wish I could use this app on devices that don't have a IR blaster. Plus Samsung has killed the IR blaster feature on their newer devices so it's a deal breaker for any new device.

Works with many devices out of the box. Good customization options, though the notification changes I've made don't always seem to stick. Customization is a bit cumbersome, but with all of the options it gives you, it would be difficult to streamline the process. Great remote replacement.

Best remote I've ever used on my Galaxy s6 EDIT: Upgraded to Nougat and the remote stopped working on my lock screen. It was the only reason I even bought this remote to help "support" the developers, but now they are ignoring my issue.

So far been able to find a remote for all my electronics. It even found my wifi enebled lights and stuff. Alexa integration works very well. Using it with an old Samsung s4. It has so many features and option, it can become confusing to customize but once done, it's perfect.

Would it be possible to add/fix two things? 1) Touch-press delay: bring back or add the option to have the delay we previously had when interacting with a remote. Sliding up/down/left/right on a remote always activates a button, and so some of us don't mind having a laggy remote 2) Oval shapes: previously we could create oval shapes with the round button, but not anymore.

Was using a different (free) remote app, but it killed my phone battery. This doesn't, but not quite as easy to use. The widget that appears in the top pull down on my phone never seems to work, and you can't tell which device it's trying to control. The full-screen version works quite well, though. My only complaint is a lack of functions for one of our three TVs.

En excellent app that made me addicted to phones with an IR bluster. Too bad they are getting less and less common nowadays. In contrast with other apps you don't need to buy a subscription or other marketing tricks. It's just a perfect universal remote, which is always in your pocket, no matter if you are at home and can't find a standard remote och in a pub and want to switch a tv set on the wall to football. Developers did a great product and I'm very thankful for that.

i hade this app 8 hours and it stoped working 1 time when i first got the app but every sence 8 hours ago i havent hade a problem. the app is esy to use. the app has a lot features and so many differnt devices can be used its the best ihave ever used

Great app. It can replace my Harmony One remote. The initial setup is time consuming with the numerous options and settings but once you set everything up the way you want it, it works great. Definitely worth it. I am using the LG V20.

The best part about this app is the wide variety of remotes for different appliances. I could be using this remote for my sony TV then quickly switch over to another remote to control my Dyson bladeless fan. The only thing negative that I have is the notification for quickly controlling an appliance is enabled by default. Otherwise it's a great app and I enjoy using it.

Does both my TVs but kinda wished it did my PlayStation 3 as well! No rediculous amount of junk like the other apps I've tried. Well worth the $$

I use this mainly at my club with several different TVs. I am often asked to change channels or volume If my son goes to sleep at home i can turn his tv off. I love this app.

Sadly no support for most enigmas devices. Already emailed them to ask for support but no answer... And the paid version is a lot older than the French one with in app purchases. I feel ripped off

This app is worthless and does not work on any oh equipment. Great idea only if it worked

Does not support LG learning capabilities and remotes are incomplete. ( smart tvs ) It might have obscure devices programmed so worth a shot.

The app is fantastic and its customizable features are amazing... The purpose of me going in for this remote was for a replacement of my LG AC Remote that is not working... All is good with this remote, except that the horizontal swing is not controlled on my LG AC. Can this feature be updated on the library?

Very good app. But there is some problem with the remote for microlab solo7c, don't work treble down.

After spending hours trying to make this work, I gave up and accepted the fact that this app is completely USELESS unless you PURCHASE an ADDITIONAL $90 piece of equipment. Their description says nothing about this so beware! What a dirty trick!

A great remote for any phone with IR! I do wish that the home screen widgets had better graphics other than the flat buttons, but it is a versatile app and the best remote I have found.

New update got problem my tv remote power toggle cannot operate! Kindy fix the problem. Since last year 26/nov update til now my remote totally cannot used at all! when you want to fix the problem? Pay money get nonthing to use, pls refund!

Great app, any chance of adding a way to close the app while I'm not at home to extend battery life? Also would it be possible to integrating the brilliant lighting smart bluetooth ceiling fan control kit?

Great app, I have been using it prior to their rebranding and has worked really well. However, since I last used the app, it feels like it has lost a lot of the IR codes it previously had... i.e. devices previously listed are not available anymore and the "most models" button does not work for them either. Question to developers, would it be possible to bring back the full range of IR codes that the app previously had (back when it was just smart IR remote for HTC One)??

Very easy to set up multiple remotes and nice to be able to customize buttons with various colors, text and symbols. Buttons can also easily be rearranged. It works with many manufacturers and I was easily able to set up one universal remote in the app that includes my most used buttons on my tv, soundbar, and blu-ray player.

Easy to install and found my devices in seconds. Not sure howntonprogram multiple devices under one remote. You have to have 2-3 iterations of the app open at the same time if you want to use a tv, dvd, and surroud sound as an example. Still great comparred to the factory remote and factory apps

Tried a few similar app. Smart IR seemed the smartest of all. Paid a bit more but worth every penny. I control my talktalk box, Samsung DVD player, Panasonic sound bar and my matrix hdmi switcher. This app is a great backup to my Logitech harmony 700. 5 stars, easy rating.

Will not work anymore with a TV without a 89 dollar device. I don't need a device to shoot an infrared laser that is built into my phone at a TV. I don't know why this app, which used to work is now trying to gouge me in this way, especially since I paid for it. It's worthless now.

The paid pro version which I purchased says I have no internet connection when in fact I do so I can't add remotes... the app is useless. $7 bucks down the drain. The free app actually works but you can only have one remote. Frustrating

Useless without a $90 hardware addon. Won't even use the phones built-in IR without it.
