Works very good, does what it's supposed to do and I didn't encounter any problems with it. I would like to make a suggestion though: please make a android wear version of this app ( such as the classic Runtastic app and Mountain Bike ). It would be very useful to control the app from my watch. Thanks.

Well. Given the app a 4 star rating. Does it actually worth this? Yes it is. But why not 5 star from me? I have Oppo F3 set with Android 6 version and color OS version V3. O. Oi. I have kept the screen on as directed by the app in the setting. But the last couple of days as I ran the app before walking with a hope to find my stats., I found the phone in locked position with screen off and the app had noted 15 min. Duration and 254 steps. But actually I had walked for 50 min. What a disappointment after the exercise! This had happened for nos. of days. Why this, can the developer put on some light when I have the pro version?

If your app can't run passively (i.e. when my screen is off), it's pretty useless to me. It used to work, but now it does not for some reason. Two stars only because it seems pretty good otherwise.

I really like it but it's a little off sometime. I walked a mile and a half at a local track and this app barely had me walking a mile. My daughter ran another app that was almost exact to what we actually did. I will keep using and trying to adjust. Hopefully it will get a little more accurate.

I have the running pro app and love it. This app i have nothing but issues with and hate it. Used every day for over a week and never got it to work correctly. This app was a WASTE of money. The runner pro is fantastic and I got it first. Really disappointed in this one.

Says after a year from e mail you have to pay again for this app. No a good deal at all, will not renew, was not made clear on initial purchase

Pedometer Pro has quite good features and is fairly easy to set up. Unfortunately (when it does work) it is not accurate and always gives different results for same route. But the biggest problem is the interface bug which randomly pauses the timer when in use, even if screen is locked during a work-out. So 90% of the time you arrive back home only to find the programme stopped half way through the routine, rendering Pedometer Pro absolutely useless!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

N70%

Really don't know how did this app get a rating of 4+. Every single time I use this app for running, it stops randomly in the middle, tried it multiple times, even after downloading the paid app, disappointing.

G70%
by G####:

It really needs an auto pause function, and it does not sync at all with MyFitnessPal, even though I have it set up to do so. Please fix these issues and I will gladly give five stars.

This app has faulted on me during a walk at least twice when I paused it, causing the step counter to reset and thus losing some data. Very annoying!

R70%
by R####:

U know how it is with these things. Most people will tell you the same.....they are fairly inaccurate. After saying that. Going on what details I have inputted I have found its not too bad. I upgraded to the pro. Liked the fact that u could Taylor most setting to your personal standard. IE step frequency settings. It's a good guide, but give it some margin for error. Using it, and keeping it .

R70%
by R####:

It just randomly stops counting steps and/or timing your exercise session. Paid for Pro and shouldn't have wasted my money. VERY frustrating. No error, it just stops. Any time you try to get information from the web site, all it seems to want to do is sign you up for 'premium' service. Going to find something that works.

I'm changing my app. This one is ok but it really doesn't do a good job keeping track. It'll start out tracking ok. Then it changes to less. Like walking tonight when I started was up to 325 at half way point my count was at 30. Not happy with it not staying accurate.

Q70%
by Q####:

I decided to try this out and was not too impressed. I like the layout of the app but it does not track distance accurately. I tested it out with 3 other popular apps at one time and went for a walk. All 3 apps said I walked about 2km where this one said I walked 2.48km so it was way off. It would also appear the calories burned is was off as well. The step counter seems to be on par with the rest of the apps so I'd only rely on that's to give an accurate reading. If I could get a refund I would.

by Z####:

Step length to 80 mm and standard sensitivity. Tends to under - read, as compared to the gps. On the treadmill, the calorie count matches the treadmill readout but the distance is registered lesser. The app cant distinguish between a car ride and a walk/run. Good syncing with MFP is its redeeming quality.

Probably the first time I've actually paid for an app, but I'm disappointed at the discrepancies... I always walk the exact same route and the variations in the distance and strides is mind boggling. I won't delete it as I've paid for it and paired it with Myfitnesspal app, but overall I'm not happy with this paying app

In the beginning this app work great with the steps, time, distance. Last two months it has been all over the place. I just stopped using it. Very disappointed.

Have to bump it up since it's logged more than 1.5 million steps. I had to reset my phone twice. Never lost any data when I restored it. All my sessions were restored. For those that are complaining, you need to have an account at Runtastic for this to work. Still counts when the screen is off. I'm using Lollipop.

I love that I can track my steps and calories and keep track of my history. I hate that often times when I am done and I save my run, the count of steps get reset to some single digit while the Kms and the calories are correct.

Even @ the most sensitive setting missed 1000 on a route I do daily. Recent problem; used to be spot on.

R70%

Stop complaing it's the best they got you try making a game like this they can't be completely accurate and by the way the game is very good so shut up and also if you don't like it get a refund

I paid for the pro and it was great until 2 weeks ago. Now it only picks up about 40 percent of my steps. I see by the comments I'm not the only one this is happening to. Very disappointed.

Just downloaded the pro version, but there is no widget to put on the screen so it's not as good as some of the others and it's as accurate as a 14lb sledgehammer when I switched it on it had counted 4 steps before I moved so I set it less sensitive and I got 21 steps when I had done30 so I've deleted this app till its sorted, still no good after over a year ago, still no widget 31/10 /2016 and no response from runtastic team

Have used the app near daily for 18 months with general success, but several times a month steps would be dropped when saving a session, while retaining time and distance. Other reviewers have noted the same issue. Recently it has been happening near daily. Rather negates its purpose.

So i used it today at work and at the end of the day it said I had walked 6900 steps. I check aftet it uploads to runtastic and now the app show i only took 1800 steps. Uninstalling. Sucks cause i paid for the app.

Great app but the results are incorrect since last few days. I find that the app stops recording for some time and then starts again, leading to incorrect data.

Great motivation with this app. Displays various parameters. The graphical representation of the time versus steps gives a reasonably good picture of the time taken to reach the peak.

C70%

A total waste of money for me. Maybe depends on how you use it. I had Pacer to track my steps at work and it worked fine but I didn't want the ads and seemed to drain my battery quicker. I paid for this app and will be uninstalling it. Samsung S Health has me at 6900 steps today and the iPhone Health app has me at 7200 for the day. This app has me at around 3000 steps. It works as long as I don't stop moving but if I do stop it's about a 50/50 chance of it starting when I do.

I have a bunch of toys and apps that all seem to ignore deliberate stints of walking and such in a timed fashion. Even my Garmin Vivofit ignores that too. I've tried other apps, and had been using Endomondo because it would, and then they took it out. So this is awesome!

C70%
by C####:

Distance and steps regularly inaccurate. Speed seems to be the only thing that usually works right. Bought app and it didn't import old data from trial into paid version either. Uninstalling.

Love this because I'm very calorie conscious so now I can deduct calories burnt during my walk from my daily intake (another ounce of steak?) ;-)

M70%
by M####:

Absolutely inaccurate...don't trust any data. A total waste. You do more than 10K steps, yet it counts 5-10 steps, not sure about calories data either.

Update 7/2015: Since the latest update, it's working more consistently. I purchased the pro version soon after trying out the free version. I did notice the malfunction after I moved it to my sd card, so I had to reinstall & move to phone. Its working fine since then.

C70%
by C####:

This app, the pro version, registered only about 60% of my steps in one hour. The actual count was computed at 126 paces per min over 54 minutes. There is no sensitivity control.

Q70%
by Q####:

Counts steps fairly accurately but calculates distance traveled and speed incorrectly. (About 30% high.) I have a ticket open with Runtastic since Sept 2014 and they've done nothing about the problem. Upated to 1.6.2 just recently and the math error is still there.

Updated February 1, 2016: Tried the Runtastic Pedometer app again and the previous problems appear to have been fixed for my Galaxy S5 Active at some point. I used the app on a walk yesterday and the phone behaved normally. No out of control step counter. Step and distance numbers appear pretty close to what I see with other counters. I'm back to being able to love the ease of Runtastic Pedometer. Updating my stars to 4. Original review: This app worked well for me in the past on my old Galaxy S3 but now on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, it's useless. As soon as I run the app, it starts counting steps wildly, even while standing still! Changing sensitivity setting in the app didn't help. Eventually the phone starts freezing up so badly that even holding down the power button will restart the phone. I've got to remove the battery in order to get control of the phone again. Reinstalled the app several times to see if it was just a fluke but the same thing happens every time.

O70%
by O####:

The app works mostly but the huge problem is that you do not keep it running when apps are cleared. It deletes itself and all your recorded steps and restarts the application. This is a stupid way to operate it should stay running until chosen to exit the app. Much like music apps operate. Wasted money on this and subscription to website its deleted too. Useless apps in their current state. Useless support too I have emailed 3 times about this ignored everytime. Shabby way to treat subscribers.

I like that all I need to do is tap Go and the app tracks everything and uploads the info to my acct so I can see my progress.
