Shazam

I used to use shazam years ago and it was perfect. It could find a song over noise and even when the song was low volume. It didn't take too long to get a recording and have the song you want to know. But now it doesn't seem to work. It only recognises the most popular songs and even then you have to try a few times. But what's the point of it if everyone and their grandma already know the only songs this app seems to recognise? I wanted this app to be able to recognise the songs I don't know on the radio and on TV shows but most times it won't work or by the time it would, the song would be over and gone. This is incredibly sad as I know for a fact that shazam used to be so much better than this. Please fix this

Love the functionality. I've been disappointed today after using the app and the images of the artist aren't correct. Not sure why but it's very disappointing and I will be looking forward to seeing the actual artists image portrayed with the song. SN: totally agree with RioVentura. I miss having the blue button there. The convienence of having the button there to tap was nice.

When I first tried Shazam years ago, it was fantastic. It could tell me a song playing over the noise of a restaurant & cafe. These days, I'd say 1/10 songs are recognized. I can find it faster using Google and a line of lyrics.

Whilst I appreciate the artistic appeal of a recognition screen that morphs into an artist splash page, who was this Graphic Design Major developer that somehow has no idea about the day-to-day functionality of this app and got rid of the blue 's' icon that allows you to Shazam the next song without pressing the back button first to reinitiate the app screen?? Utter update fail.

This app has NEVER failed me. No matter how old/new/genre, I love that at the touch of a button, I get title/info of a song I'm hearing but can't think of name of/artist. Thx Shazam!! :)

great app but . . . when im login in whith my Mail in this situation Gmail instead of name - "Name(optional)" ,shazam sets my Gmail password as my name and it can not be changed plus when im trying to change it shazams shows that my name is what did i chose acter confirming it it changes back to password again pls fix this i realy love this app

Your Auto-Shazam feature is TERRIBLE!!! Doesn't recognize songs in a mix, let alone songs that play on the radio.... For instance, out of 15 songs, the auto feature recognizes just one song. JUST ONE? Not a troll, just being honest.

2 year ago this app is wonderful.but now...I have music in phone.but he dont open my song in Play music...what a f..k? now he open music in apple music.and apple music want money for try the apple music.its discastic.therreble app right now.apple you killing wonderfull app..

I hope you fix this issue of the Shazam app not opening, nor the Shazam widget working. I really like this app, it's usually very helpful, but right now it has a crash bug, where it doesn't open. Could you please fix that?

I just got this app so i could know a song that i really like, guess what. The app FORCES you to make an account so you can see the song. And the end, the song got lost so i couldnt see it. Just, no.

this app was good when i downloaded it the first few times . it could detect songs in a crowded place & it could detect songs fast . but now , it takes quite a while to detect songs especially on auto-shazam . and another problem is that , why cant it detect quite a number of malay songs now ? it used to be able to detect malay songs easily but now all it says is " no results "

App isn't responding. By the time it decides to work, the song you try to find its name, it'd be long gone. All my other apps are running fine but this one takes ages to load, very unresponsive and freezes alot.

Lately it's been too bloated to function, does not tag songs correctly on the first try and can't pick up tunes in noisy background. Used to work a lot better a couple of years ago...

It is super cool, any song you need it gets, but the thing is, that they don't have all the lyrics. So are not the actual lyrics and some are missing, so I give it a 3 and a half out of 5

I'm happy.. I have identified some instrumentals I've been trying to I.D. for a couple years now.. Rather obscure.. One was "Music for Cats!"

Absolutely terrible app! Why is this recommended??? It just keeps giving me "No result" ON EVERYTHING!!!!! I HATE IT!!!!! I CAN NEVER FIND THE MUSIC I'M LOOKING FOR!!!!! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Cant identify offline! What stupid app...trackid used to do it so well..i really lost 2-3 song identifications cos of this stupid requirement of being online to identify

I love Shazam. I mean I Shazam stuff everywhere. Food store, etc. Music is really essential to my life but lately it can't ID *anything*. It couldn't ID a Jimi Hendrix song... c'mon.

Excellent 95%! It at times doesn't know those rare gems on high school or college radio though.

I love this app. I find music I love on tv, commercials, at restaurants etc. I love that I can connect it Spotify. I have a Spotify playlist named From the World around me. Great for finding new artist and songs.

Need a lot of improvement like CD # And hard to identify a lot of artists

I switched back to Shazam because Google Assistant requires you use Google Music in order for it to work. And since Google can't seem to stop doing things that force users into their own inferior services instead of leaving things that work alone because they previously used mature open source solutions, the only reasonable approach to finding a permanent solution is to stop using google apps and deprive them of revenue until such time that they reverse policies. Spotify, Pandora and iTunes are all vastly superior services and Shazam is superior to GA for not using the Google Music platform.

This app used to be able to recognize all genres of music. Seems now to only now pop songs. Add some classical music to your files Shazam.

I have used shazam for over a year and have loved it. But the new update on android doesnt support apple music, only spotify (which I dont use). Has anybody else noticed this of is there something that I'm missing?

I had a Shazam account with my phone number, but the update deleted that and now it is forcing he to sign up with my gmail account which means I lost all my list

I swear this thing is SO damn accurate (with the exception of a few songs) honestly, I can't even imagine how much work was put into this, I was able to find that one song that I was looking for in like, FOREVER, keep up the good work.

Loving this App. Each and Every time it is 100 % correct . Hats off to the developers as they have really come out with a good algorithm on recognising the songs.. A must have app if you are a music lover.

This is perfect for new musicians you don't know the name is songs I am a violin player and I just figured out how to play the Rondo Caprica so it's an amazing app and helps you learn and I definitely recommend it

I need to choose my own theme I'm tired of this blue colour so let us choose for ourself which colour to display on shazam

Very bad , it listen the music for 2 hours and says didn't catch it and want me to try again , I will uninstall it

Google play music doesn't work with Shazam

I only like it for the songs but every time I play a song it pauses in the middle of it and then restarts. ????????

The most uesless app in the world. Doesn't identify any song that I make it listen. Literally the worst app

This application is rather a waste of space and data, poor accuracy in finding songs, it does just about nothing ???? unlike shazam back in the days.

Does what it says it does. Only annoyance is when I try to scan a song in a TV show I get the show name not the song.

I hate it. Ive been humming the song like a hundred times but it still no result.

Great app. When you dont have wifi it wont work Please update and give us the ability to read lirics while watching youtube video in minimized screen..

Useless app can't retrieve any music I throw at it. Disappointing.

This used to be a great app however they stopped providing lyrics and now it seems mostly about you going and buying songs only I don't need that I wanted to see what the lyrics are I'm moving this thing for my phone garbage now
