About Cell Signal Monitor - mobile networks monitoring

Cell Signal Monitor is an advanced network monitor that helps you to watch the state of cellular network by gathering data about cell towers. The app supports GSM, UMTS and LTE networks.

The first tab contains the following information:
• Connection status (in service/emergency only/out of service/radio is off)
• Operator name and its MCC and MNC
• Network technology (GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/LTE)
• Current cell identity (CID)
• Current area identity (LAC/RNC/TAC)
• Signal strength (RSSI and RSRP for LTE networks)

Charts show the changes of strength level and speed of mobile connection helping to monitor signal level (RSSI) and real amount of data in the channel. Log and Statistics display information about Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) recently used by a smartphone. After importing of a CLF file containing cell locations data can be displayed.

The application doesn't show neighboring cells data on Samsung devices due to firmware limitations.

Properly displays what type of network connected to (LTE, 4G, HSPDA, etc) along with rms (avg signal level from carrier and real time. It also shows the CID (cell id # connected to) and others. Was instrumental in getting out of t-mobilw with no ETF. Just sent over the logs....-118 dBm is not good lol.

S70%
by S####:

1. Only shows my carrier. I want to see the strength of any cellular signal I'm receiving. 2. No exit? Right, cuz I want this to run forever. 3. UNINSTALLED.

U70%

but it doesn't log signal strength (RSSI and RSRP)... why? The information logged is not really of any value without this information.

N70%
by N####:

I like to see the upload and down load speeds, what network I'm on, and the chart is really helpful to see a longer period of data. I don't know how it could be better.* update, now it lags when I open it. It has a delay when I want to swipe to the next screen and putting the info on the screen.

This was a brilliant app until about a month ago when it started to run slowly and even hang. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling without success. Please can the dev take a look? Update a month later - no change.

Apps works well in all area except near border town.... the apps hanged/frozed.... due to too many signals detected. Hope this can be solved. It is an excellent app

Very handy to be able to log a loss of signal and what CID's I connect to. If only it could tell me how far away the Cell is, I would be happy.

When will this app support dual-SIM phones? I cannot se neighbor cells, but it's NOT a Samsung phone.

N70%

Good, improvements possible for my purposes - I want to record the signal over days not minutes, but it is way better than all the others I tried

N70%

As I am in Ofc transmission, this app is very useful to know the status of GSM site on completion of slicing of OF cable.

N70%

OK, but the RSSI level is always -113 even when it should be -81! Is there anyway to calibrate the application?

R70%
by R####:

Could be way better if provided capability to export measurement results in proper format (cell id, timestamp, RX level, upload/download speed) for reasonable period of time (1 hour at least). Exporting into tiny pictures with label numbers that could not be read makes absolutely no sense. Moreover, if linked with GPS data could even be considered as a semi-professional tool. Without above features - nice, but nearly usless toy.

O70%
by O####:

On Galaxy S6 running Android 5.1.1 app doesn't show signal strength other than -51 or cell details, although strength can be seen in android settings -> about device

Thoughtful UI, easy on the resources and most importantly works as advertised!
