Parola di Dio del Giorno BND

La Bibbia Diodati è la traduzione della Bibbia per eccellenza dei protestanti italiani, edita a Ginevra nel 1607 dal lucchese in esilio Giovanni Diodati (1576-1649). Questi vennero seguiti quasi trent'anni dopo da una seconda edizione migliorata negli anni 1640/41. Quest'opera monumentale ha fornito il protestantesimo italiano della sua versione ufficiale standard della Bibbia. Il merito del Diodati fu quello di produrre, lui solo, una delle maggiori Bibbie del Protestantesimo europeo, da mettersi sul livello della Bibbia tedesca di Lutero e di quella inglese autorizzata dal re Giacomo.

La Nuova Diodati persegue la maggior fedeltà possibile ai testi originali (NT ancora di Erasmo), mettendo in corsivo le espressioni, parole, articoli e preposizioni non contenute in essi ma che risultano utili per la comprensione del testo.
