I was using it as a trial run and found out when I shook it it would add extra steps

No matter what setting I had it on, the pedometer would either shut itself off after a few moments or the non-stop ads would pop up and stop the pedometer. When it did work, it only counted half my steps, no matter what sensitivity I picked.
