1. Install and run the voice app once
2. Install free SVOX Classic Text-to-Speech Engine
3. Go to Android Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Text-to-Speech settings.
Activate SvoxClassic at the bottom of the screen.
Select SvoxClassic as the Default Engine.
4. Run the voice app, click “Continue”, then follow the instructions.
5. Your SVOX Voice main screen will be now visible. Don’t forget to try the new pronunciations correction feature (‘pencil’ icon)!
6. Download other free / paid apps to combine our voice with. For example, you could try: Google Navigation (on Android 2.2 and later, only with Navigation < 5.9), Moon+ Reader PRO, Voice Actions Plus, TalkToMe Classic, Book Speech Audio Books, Transzilla, Good Morning, WakeVoice...

Like a native speaker with the easy words, but the technical terms are spoken like a computer. It allows you to make your own pronunciation corrections, but that is only useful if you are a native speaker.

This works well and seems to be the only option for Cantonese voice support on Android. The voice could be better and less robotic. One issue is that if the text being read contains both Chinese and English, the English parts sound incomprehensible. An option to supported mixed-language text with multiple voices is needed.

Crashes on the Galaxy S4? Try this. Works for me. Go into setting> languages and input> text to speech option>Svox classic tts. Force close before but now works prefectly

This female speaker sounds like a foreigner speakinvg Cantonese. BUT I CANT ANY OTHER SOFTWARES WILL SUPPORT CANTONESE T2S. I useded to have a povket pc (windows 6) the speaker sounds like a native Cantonese speaker.

It's great when it works. Bought this before on old phone. Now doesn't work on new phone due to failure to connect to licensing server. Tried for weeks. I guess this company is dead. Stay away from this software.
