About RapidPush

RapidPush is an easy-to-use push notification service.
You can receive notifications from third-party applications like nagios, Github or FlexGet directly to your smartphone.

RapidPush has many additional features including scheduled notifications, rules and groups which will let you completely control how you receive the notifications.
With our simple API you can also implement RapidPush to your own software.

To use RapidPush you need an API-Key which you can get at http://rapidpush.com.

More information at http://rapidpush.net

The best way to understand it, is to use it, so try it out now.

Features:
- Receive push-notifications
- Silent hours
- Filter priority
- HTML within messages.
- Seperate settings for each priority
- Configureable colors for each priority

Permission explanation:

- android.permission.INTERNET
This is used to communicate with our API-Server while you sign up an account, log in to your account and send you notifications.

- android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS
We need this permission to use the "Google Cloud Messaging"-Service on Android Versions below 4.0.4. We will NEVER give this data to ANY third-party.

I would pay for a working app that does what this claims to do. It is only good for one alert before you phone locks up and you need to reboot your phone. Once you reboot, the app will never work again until you uninstall and reinstall. This has to be done after EVERY ALERT!!!

I've had a force quit early on but otherwise I was able to easily start sending notifications using the API documentation from their website. Works great! One thing I would really like to see: filters based on the message content, not just the priority.

Read title! It only worked once for me and after that, it kept crashing. Try reinstalling but still didnt fix the crashing issue. There still a lot of bugs, seems like bad memory errors.

But needing a paid membership for more than ten notifications sucks. Just go pay the one-time fee for the Pushover app and enjoy unlimited notifications.
