SealNote Secure Encrypted Note

Please update the minimum timeout period from 10 seconds to Zero or update whenever everytime if we come to android home screen and go to this app, the app remain already open for 10 seconds. One of my known tried to steal the information by taking snapshot from his mobile as the app allows to remain logged in for at least 10 seconds. Please release a patch to update it to Zero second or ask everytime password with login. Also please update some more cool color of tiles like pink, peach, strawberry, peacock blue, cyan etc thanks. You guys are doing great.All thre very best.

It stopped updating the last edited date for some reason, so now new notes are organized by when I created them. Very annoying Update: tried reinstalling to no avail. 2nd update: now it no longer auto saves either. May be uninstalling soon

Lack of simple search option! Also you can easily open an app without a password if you didn't closed it. Also the app could have much more users if you add an import feature from other Note apps backup files like ColorNote. Think about it.

I love this app because it does exactly what it promises - it sesls your notes away from any prying eyes. I have critical information in it, bank account numbers for my parents, and very personal information of my own here too. I have absolutely no worries about the safety of the contents because even I can't get the infotmation if I forget the password, so be VERY sure you know it before you set it as the password!

Pretty good, visually pleasing; BUT it should really warn you when you back out of a note that your note is NOT saved. I'm so used to tools (Google Docs, other note apps) saving changes when I exit that it has become intuitive that this is what should happen. Please make this change in a future update!

I just downloaded this app and so far so good. No adds to deal with and thats a good start. One thing i would like to change and its minor is that i wish it would just show the title list.. everything is good though.. 5 star for me.

It needs a search function, a note sorting order option and note display options. To me, and most importantly, the app's "last edited" date/time doesn't work as it should. It only lists the "created" date/time which isn't the same, nor anywhere near as useful. On the plus side, the app has great encryption.

Lost all my passwords. Doesn't overwrite previous backups, so you have to manually delete the old backup in your cloud storage in order for the latest notes to be updated there... I got a new phone, installed the app again, and loaded my backup only to see that the passwords and notes were the ones from the first time I'd backed up my notes. Otherwise works fine... Just a few annoying bugs here and there.

Seems to work ok. When I got a new phone the back up/restore via NFC didn't work after multiple attempts. Finally worked with backup to gmail.

Was working fine before I updated to Android 8. Now every time I try to backup my file the app unfortunately crashes. If you fix this, it will be again one of my indispensabile apps!

I have been using this for half a year and find this an essential part of organising my life. The notes encrypt onto my SD card. The location is android/data/com.twistedplane.sealnote/cache. Color Note saves notes onto my phone instead and also limits the number of characters in your passwords for individual notes. I can use a longer password with SealNote which is excellent. You should go into Settings and click to Autosave notes when you click back to the main menu. I would like to be able to re-order my notes but this is a very minor thing. Great App.

Pros: It keeps your notes secured with a personal password. You can add a note as plain text, add card details, or log-in details. Pretty handy. You can set the app to automatically save every note and prevent window content from appearing in screenshots or switcher etc. Cons: I'd like to see more colors and be able to attach pictures or set backgrounds for each note.

It's a password encrypted notes task editor . It also saves bank card info and member details. And also important private login details is automatically saved to this clever app. I love that it feels safe and not just any old body can see some private stuff. I found exactly what was looking for It's has a high rating of 4.6 which us pretty high it's safe and functional to use. I highly recommend this spl. You'll be glad you did. And best of all it's completely free with no ads that I have seen so far

I like this app a lot. However, the backup function stopped working about half a year ago. The message I got when I tried to backup is "SealNote has stopped". If this is fixed I will give it five stars.

I love this app, it's great, and I use this for writing stories or plots but the problem is the app suddenly crashed. And then I cannot open the app, I tried several times but it isn't working. Please, please fix this, because I have important notes written in this app. Thank you!

Changed my review from 3 stars to 2 stars. The big where recently edited notes no longer go to the top has gone on too long. Currently looking for a replacement app.

Unfortunately this app hasn't been updated in a long time. This is not good. If it's still maintained, I'd love to be able to safe pictures to notes. Thank you. :)

Great app, been using for years. Latest update has caused notes to not sort by last modified date (descending). Please fix

I like it because when switch from between windows it requests password. But I prefer using pattern recognition rather than password recognition.. Edit: thank you for your reply. I change my rating now because of it, and also to educate me about pattern recognition, while it's convenient to use but less secure.

It's been just few minutes after using this app, I'm impressed with the simple template for notes, cards and login details. Especially notes is a one long continue page to add text. Easy to copy paste lengthy content ????????Well done team Sealnote... Keep up good work!!!!!

Nice gui. Try an option for calendar. Or an insert time or insert date option. Some basic photo attaching would be nice as well. If this gets available as debian repos will kick ass.

The only thing I don't like is how everything disappears when you need to immediately do something else. So if you forget to save before you answer your phone you lose everything you've done.

It's good for keeping secret notes. I took 2 stars out because of the notes cannot be managed out of the SealNote app, incase I need to archive them.

Mid note if I set my phone down for a minute and my lock screen comes up all my work is deleted when I unlock to try and finish. Brutal.

The app is nice except that the text boxes are not treated as passwords so Samsung Keyboard's predictive text will remember it. I might as well use a keyboard that encrypts text instead.

Thank you, I am serious diary-keeper, but it was becoming tedious to maintain paper diary. Thanks for providing us such an exceptionally SECURE diary. And thank you for being open-source.

Terrible UX. If you change applications while writing a note and you haven't manually saved the note, then you will lose everything. The fact the developer mentions NOTHING about the app behaving this way is intolerable and provides a very poor user experience. It needs to be explicitly stated the app will NOT auto-save at all. Even if you back out of a note within the app without manually saving, you will lose the note. Unacceptable to not warn users of this functionality, particularly when the point of this app is to SECURELY STORE NOTES. If there is some reason why auto-save is not possible, perhaps because of a security reason, then it NEEDS to be explicitly stated so users are aware. Ideally some visual safeguard should exist before backing out or changing apps, like a dialog box warning the user they will lose their note if they proceed with the action. To have anything less than these things is just terrible design. Uninstalled immediately.

Promising idea but: No response to my email several days ago, app desperately needs a search function, auto-save to Dropbox (etc), tags don't seemed to be ordered by anything (A-Z would be helpful), would like reassurance that I can get my notes out if the app goes down (no export facility), like a way to export several notes in batches.

Intermittently rejects correctly typed-in password and crashes after two such rejects in a row as far as I can tell. Happened 3 out of just under ten attempts to start or restart the app. Reinstalled three times. Android 7.0 SAMSUNG-SM-N920A.

I really like this app, except it does't automatically log out. You have to remember to press on the menu to log out, otherwise it stays open and everybody can see your personal infos.

Lost my first note that took me an hour to write.. The most simple task and an epic fail.

Given the fact that this is open source and maintained by a group of volunteers, this is great. It does exactly what it is supposed to do without the unnecessary feature bloat. Keep up the great work!

Works pretty good for keeping my notes secure. It does take it a little while to log out if it's not closed, but it automatically logs out fairly shortly.

This does not work. It will not allow me to edit the note. Waste of time, all I want is like a notepad but encrypted!

For years, I used OI Safe. When I couldn't get that app to work on my new Huawei tablet, I tried SealNote. So far, I'm VERY pleased. It's easy to use and, with a strong password, quite secure.

This thing is great already. I know it will improve as time goes on, but I appreciate so much the work that went into this.
