When planning a trip I do some research and find everything I want to do. Then I use this app as a GPS. This app has helped me navigate Rome, Barcelona, Alaska, Nashville among other places. This app is a life saver.

I loved this app on my ipad but since moving to Android - and my phone has both a magnetic sensor (magnetometer) and an accelerometer - I'm disappointed that it doesn't orientate the map automatically as it did on the iPad. I can definitely confirm that my LG K10 (2017) phone does have a magnetometer sensor as well as an accelerometer. I have confirmed that with diagnostic software as well as it being clearly listed in the phone's specifications. Furthermore, I can use it successfully with the "Sky Map" and Compass Apps - but like most other Android phones it does not have a GYROSCOPE (favoured by virtual reality players). Newer Apple devices all have a gyroscope on which the Maps 2Go app currently depends for map orientation. I think that what would be really useful for the Android version is a move away from using the gyroscope feature (that only a limited number of Android phones have) to using the magnetic sensor which is much more common. Hope that will come in an upgrade soon?

Traveling in Europe; no roaming charge! And it was always accurate. But I like to see a mini compass on it for orientation. Most of it I would like to have a suggestion; I use it between my tablet and phone. Would it be possible to synchronize between them? Sorry for the 5* going down to 3* but it would be a big improvement! And one more thing; I could find a place on one but not the other one! Thanks for the fast reply; added an extra star. 5th is coming back after synchronization is solved! Well, synchronization is done, good job! But on our recent trip to Wienna we wanted to see the Imperial Burial Vault and guess what.....map shows it was 78 meters away but it was almost impossible to be there. My wife turns around; and we were right front of it. In your own hometown? Keeping 4 *s for now....

Nice app for the away-from-home traveller, where data roaming isnt available. The only downside is that because the maps are community sourced they may not be complete, or have outdated information that requires editing. That said, if your commhnity is missing something... find the map source Ulmon uses and add it in!

Had a continuing problem where maps I had downloaded were not being displayed. All I got was a blank, grey screen. Since the last update the matter seems to have been resolved. I have always found this to be a helpful app and hopefully things will continue to work as well as before. 26th June 2017. All working well and really pleased with this app. Provides good offline maps, which are detailed and there is the addition of useful local information pertaining to the area of the map that is highlighted. All is positive now.
