ハチマルヒーローは1980年代～1990年代の熱きクルマを楽しむためのネオヒストリックカー・マガジン。
日本車が世界市場を席巻した80～90年代。この時代には国内外問わず、様々なクルマが登場。 いずれ訪れるバブル崩壊を恐れながらも楽しかったこの時代を駆け抜けたAE86カローラレビン/スプリンタートレノやR30スカイライン、RX-7（FC＆FD）などのクルマを紹介。 ハチマルという言葉を世に広めた80～90年代車専門雑誌です。
今も街でよく見かけることが多いこの時代のクルマは、バブル期の影響を受け、内装が非常に豪華だったり、超強力なエンジンを搭載していたりする当時憧れのクルマばかりでした。
80～90年代のクルマは、新車販売時から20～30年が経過し、旧車といっても過言ではありません。 しかし、その時代を代表するDR30スカイラインやAE86レビン／トレノ、GX71マークⅡなどは、まだ現役で走っているものも多く、旧車とひとくくりにするのはふさわしくありません。 そこで我々は「ハチマル」という言葉を当て、この時代の多くのファンとともに楽しめる専門雑誌として本書を立ち上げました。 この時代には、ターボやスーパーチャージャーといった機構を持ち、そのままレースに出られるようなクルマ。 キャビンを小さくし使い勝手よりもスタイルを重視したクルマなど様々なクルマが数多く開発・販売されています。
『ハチマルヒーロー』は、そんなハチマル車の「今」を伝える雑誌です。
