About Lost Rescue
What if I need help when hiking in a forest, mountain biking, climbing a mountain or sailing at sea?
Do I really know how to send my exact location to specific person when needed? And what if I can't access the internet?
Don't worry - with Lost Rescue you can send your GPS location via SMS with a single click.
Lost Rescue is free, it doesn't use advertising and it doesn't use any tracking - it doesn't even have permission to connect to the internet. It only takes up about 100 kb of device's storage, and it doesn't drain your battery or alert you in any way if not used.
To set up emergency contact and other settings, open the separate icon "LR Settings."
Tip: If you are having trouble opening location with the new Maps application, choose browser to open the link.
Please don't give bad reviews if you can't get a signal, if it takes very long to get a signal or because of similar issues that are device or enviromnet dependent. An application can only use resources at hand. Note that it is designed for outdoors use only.
Warning: Information about your location is extremely sensitive. Only send your location to people you trust. Lost Rescue is not suitable for children under the age of 13.

Here I have a suggestion, enable user to send location with the action: hold the power button and home button together, gps location switch on and the location is send, when the screen is locked. Run at the background. And allows us to choose the hold timing.

Great little helper when it's hard to tell someone where you want them to come! However, I have 2 small suggestions: - wait a few more seconds for a more exact location. I had to open the window in a building to get GPS signal and the first coords were about 50m off which can be quite a lot at some locations. Some seconds later it would probably become much better - installed app doesn't show the icon properly, I only get the generic Android guy instead.

A real testament elegant, tight coding, this app is small enough to live on any phone. I use it daily as a convenient way to arrange pickups and to report my position when camping, but will keep it on my phone in case of emergency when adventure cycle-touring worldwide. Ideal and reliable; best of its kind.
