About Light Controller

Now With Full android Wear Support!

New API to integrate light control into your application: https://github.com/eliotstocker/Light-ControllerAPI

have you got LED lights, but find yourself using the Lightswitch more often than not because of the need to open the app in order to simply turn on the lights? this app if you, it was developed specifically in order to give you the light switches where they are most accessible. you choose where you want the switches, be it on one of your home screens, on the lock screen or both.

The widget gives you easy access to switch each zone on and off as well as global control. also included is easy access to the main application for more advanced control.

The application enables control of both RGBW bulbs and Dual White Bulbs, And you can now choose to turn on one or both sets of lighting zones.

We have started working on some extra lighting modes also light listening mode, where it will attempt to detect the beat of the music playing and pulse different colours to the music. A candle mode to emulate the flickering of a candle, along with the built in disco modes.

Control LED Bulbs from:
* AppLamp
* EasyBulb
* Limitless LED
* MiLight
* ilux

and some others also.

You will need the Wifi Controller box to access these lights from the application

if the application doesn't work out of the box, you may need to setup the IP address of your controller box, by default the application will attempt to broadcast to the whole network, and find any available Bridge. this does not work in all setups.

New Features Coming soon:
* Full Control API (With Permission System)
* Alarm Clock Plugin
* Location Base Light Control Plugin
* Tablet Interface
* Internet Based Control

Has potential. Easily took control of my Milight, just had to modify the IP address. Could see a few things added to improve it. But overall it's clear, easy & a very nice app. Would like to see these additions: allow widget modifications(select which switches show), all light controls to show up when entering app - not just control of 1 particular switch, alarm feature added (other apps have this, very neat feature). Also, lock screen controller Doesn't work with Next lock screen (Microsoft app).

I'm a bit gutted this hasn't been updated in a while. There are some problems that need to be ironed out. Keeps draining power in Marshmallow and the brightness slider doesn't work correctly.

This is a wonderful app to control my LimitlessLED bulbs. Wish is had better integration with tasker. Would love an alarm mode that simulated a sunrise, maybe a sleep alarm that dims the lights at a certain time as well. Ability to create custom light patterns within the app would also be awesome! Good luck with development, love that you're using material design.

I can control my milight clones with my watch, very nice. It's looks well designed, although still a bit buggy. When enabled the notifications on my LG G4 (5.1) it stops the phone from turning on in standby, so disabled that. And I don't understand the message in the wifi settings for Wear, do I need to enable or disable it?

I'm currently using two apps to control my limitless led lights. This app and another for scheduled times to turn my led lights on and off. Can you add a scheduler to this app so it automatically turn lights on and off at any given time. Also a auto function that will turn your lights on when you arrive home at night. This could be done by pinging the phones ip address once it has connected to home wifi.

Does not provide set up instructions. Developer UNRESPONSIVE! Wish I could assign ZERO stars.

Great App. One think I am missing is the ability to hide the lockscreen controls when I am not logged into my wifi at home. When on the go, I don't really need those controls.

I like it, I have the easybulb plus flat, and theor app is not compatible with my tablet. So I downloaded this app and it works well, it seems more responsive than the easybulb app and it makes the light brighter since it actually tuens up the brightnes.

Works really well. Nice short cuts in the app e.g. Night light

B70%

Very fast and works well. I would love to see android TV support so we can switch off the lights with the TV remote

Over the default app (milight). Keep up the great work. Can't seem to get the music mode to work at all, but everything else is gravy.

Excellent!

X70%

Works exceptionally well with Tasker. I replaced tons of useless code i needed with the other app and replaced it with a few simple commands from this plugin. Very well done. ***** most recent update with wear support and designated on/off buttons is perfect!! Great work on this app.

X70%
by X####:

It works great but the only problem I have with it is every time go into the settings menu it stops working until I clear data for the app

S70%
by S####:

Works fine the first time i open it. When i close the app an reopen it no matter what I try it wont conect to my easybulb. If i reinstall the app it will conect again untill i close the app and i can kiss it goodbye... terrible

C70%
by C####:

I really liked the app and the integration with tasker and wear but since i upgraded to android 5.1.1 the program crashes all the time and i keep receiving notification that this app is making my phone slow and asks for uinstall...please fix this issue

X70%
by X####:

All its missing is a color chooser in the wear app and the same functionality in the form of a widget then this will be the only lighting controller we would need since it would have it all, compared to competing apps

X70%
by X####:

love the app but the latest version crashes a lot (my guess would be the new wear feature). works great with lg g watch r. would be great to have a fade in/out feature in tasker.

Q70%
by Q####:

Awesome app. Wear support could do with a few more configuration options. I.E. I'd use it more if i could select which zone/global appeared first as I use the white light controls more than the rgb.

X70%
by X####:

Nicely designed and has way more features than the official app, but crashes several times per day when in background, beyond what would be tolerable. Uninstalling for now.

X70%
by X####:

i think this is definately a step in the right direction, but there are a few features i would love to see implemented. I would like to see a function where if i grt a notification on my phone, it flashes one or all of the lights a pre-determined colour, and also, be able to turn on and off my lights automatically if im connected to the wifi network and determining wether or not its dark outside by using sunrise/sunset information. BTW Im willing to pay for these features! Thanks :)

I bought some LimitlessLed bulbs ages ago and could never get control of the white bulbs. All I had to do was install the app and I instantly have control!! Where can I donate?

Great that there is this app, the native app is terrible. But it has a lot of rough edges; brightness is crazy, when I slide up it increases, at the top it decreases again and sliding down decreases 10% or so and then leaves the lights at 90% brightness. The disco mode cannot be turned off, you need to kill the app to turn this mode off. When I only use 2 zones, I always have 2 times 4 zones in the app, the maximum. Color temp for white zones does not stick, can slide but it jumps back to 0. And the sideways sliding is alsof sliding the pages, I'm fighting this interface. Also had to restart my wifi box, it kinda lost it's way. And I had to kill the native app before using this one. Can't use the app as it is until I'll organize an extremely bright disco party :):) I'm dying to use this without the bugs and I am willing to pay a few bucks for it.

Thank you for that little magical tool. Precise speed control would be great. Or a tap button where you can input a speed by tapping a button. Color changes just look so !much nicer if they are matched to the beat. I love the widget. A pain if you always have to open the app. More functionality on that widget would be great. Oh and nearly forgot: the brightness fader is quite buggy on my Nexus7 2012

W70%

works very well thanks, tasker integration appreciated as I found sending UDP packets via tasker a bit hit and miss. lockscreen widget separates this from others too.

Hey, love the app but I have 2 wifi controllers and i want to control 8 zones the app, all white bulbs, any idea if you are going to implement this in the future?

Works great and a huge improvement from the terrible official app. Please let users collapse the lower section of the app as I almost never use the disco mode. Display instead some customizable preset color/intensity buttons (long press to save, tap to apply). Not really a fan of the title/action bar changing color (add an option please :)
