Wayhaven Chronicles: Book One

Is it me or the quality of these games is getting better and better? I cannot describe how much fun this game is. I've never replayed any of the other HG / CoG games but this one I've completed 6 (!) times in 2 days. And it's not a particularly short game... The characters (even the minor ones) are very well fleshed out, the variety of choices can give you really varied experiences over multiple playthroughs, the romances are thoughtfully written with only a few slightly cringey moments, and, finally, the level of customisability for the main character is simply unparalleled! Worth the money 100%. Can't wait for the sequel!

This is the first app game that I've ever bought with my own money, the full game of it. And it was WORTH IT. I became so addicted to the story--I almost couldn't stop reading it. The characters are so different from each other and they are so fun to know along the way. Building my character was just as fun to make, from the hair color to whatever type of home decor they prefer. So nicely done. I'm so excited to read Book 2 when it's done!

This was probably my favourite Hosted Game, the characters have their own charm to them, the plot is nice and engaging (I read for 3 hours straight), and the options to choose from are pretty varied. All in all, it's a pretty good game with barely any spelling or grammar mistakes. I hope book 2 comes out soon! I am very much looking forward to reading it after that ending.

Honestly went through one storyline in one day. I couldn't put it down! I love the extremely different and detailed options you can choose. I do wish there were some pictures at least. Like certain scenes and people, just so you can have an even better picture. I can not wait for the second one to come out.

Seriously, when does the next one come out? Oh my god! It was so go. I love the options and the sass and just everything. I'm ready, can it come out today? Please and thank you. I love games like this and I play a lot of them but this one is, by far, the best choices game I have every played. Seriously, at first I thought it would just be another cheesy vampire werewolf story, but it was so much better than that. I love that I can make my character literally anything. There are a few grammatical things and spelling errors here and there but nothing overly major. That is my only complaint, well, that and how I don't have the next one yet.

Finally there's another great hosted game. Loved the storytelling (though the author's descriptions of expressions is sorely limited). Despite the ending being deeply unsatisfying this is one of the best hosted games out there and I look forward to playing the sequel whenever it's released.

Always been a fan of you guys and your short stories. Some of them good and others not as great. But this one is amazing, truly captivating and well written. Haven't felt this way for a game from you guys since The Vampire House.

instantly fell in love with the book when i read the first chapter! i couldn't stop squealing for the characters and the exciting scenes. the options are great and i really like how you are able to decide your gender, etc. would love to buy the book 2 right away!

A fast favorite in interactive fiction. Brought my attention back to the genre as a whole. Characters stand out the option for a love triangle is always welcome to throw some more engagement into the story. Can't wait for part 2!

It's a great story line and a gripping book as it keeps your attention. Here's my problem. $5.00? Seriously? There are thousands and thousands of paperback books way, way longer than this and they sell ALLOT cheaper. $5.00 freaking dollars are you serious? I'd buy it if it had a serious price. This author is literally charging what some best sellers charge in paperback. Stop being greedy. You make a nickel and lose a dollar, SMH

It's been a LONG time since I was so enthralled by a COG novel. This was superbly written, and an honest page turner. The romance aspect felt real and natural. The story was gripping. I'm left wanting more. Thoroughly recommend

Beautiful writing, and there are plenty of choices that let you tweak things while going through multiple game plays. I get that some people think it might be pricey but you get 21 chapters, and like I said some things change depending on your choices, so I feel it was worth it personally. I'm excited to play through the full series which I know is planned to be 7 books. Thank you for Wayhaven.

I've been able to resist buying all the other books (sorry but I'm kinda frugal) but this story had an so interested I kept thinking about it for days and I ended up buying it. It was worth it though! I can't wait for volume 2 and I'm low Key struggling to pick my fav character to romance too lol

My new favorite interactive game,much better than others i've played. Usually when i buy games like this i regret it afterwards because the gameplay gets bored after you cpmplete it enough times. But with this game , even when you finish it a couple of times i, it makes you want to play again to see all the little details that change with each choice you make. Can't wait for Book Two

This novel is better than most of the other stories from Choice of Games. It's interesting, funny, and it has diverse personality choices. I'm looking forward to read the next book. However, the full version is still far too short for my liking. A 400 pages book costs around $10 then I would prefer a $5 novel to be around 200 pages long.

Exemplary from start to finish. This is easily the best creation hosted games has ever come up with. Characters feel organic but not unreasonably stuck in their archetypes. Everyone reacts appropriately with the various situations you each encounter and the player is given a very healthy amount of options ranging from cynical to snarky to emotional even to being believably heroic or scared. I felt like part of a much bigger story that played out around me as my influence carried the right amount of weight with every choice. 10/10

Absolutly stunning... I fell in love with this game the first few paragraphs! All the characters are fun, pleanty of unique choices, and i am already ready to beuy the full version, if i get money that is . Book 2 hype !!!!!!!!!

Really great game until the end where there isn't a conclusion but it isn't a cliff hanger either, was just left open. I know there's a second book coming soon but would have prefered some sense of winning or losing. Overall really great, good chatacter even if Bravo team are rather Cliché.

SO. GOOD. I've read four of these stories now and hands down this one is the best. The details are so interesting! What a cool twist on traditional supernatural creatures. Well done!

such a great game! I'd give it 100 star rating of i could! i love games like this where the choices you make matter & give you different dialogue. i seriously can't wait for book 2 hope it's out soon!!

Usually don't review things but I have to say, this is the best written game I've played in a long time. Which means this is one of the best games I've played in a long time. The characters each have their own distinct and memorable personality, and the plot is surprisingly good. Overall I think this is the best game ever released under Hosted Games, and probably better than all of the ones made by Choice of Games.

AMAZING. bought the full game. so so worth it . fantastic writing - characterization, world building, plot and everything else is spot on. felt really immersed in the world. cant wait for book 2 !! also i stan bobby he better feature heavily next game

This is easily the best choice of game I have ever had the pure joy of experiencing. I have played most of the offered games here for years, and Wayhaven blows them out of the water with it's beautiful writing, plot, and absolutely captivating character development and characteristics. I cannot wait for book two, I wish it were here now. I will be replaying to explore the other options given. So good.

I liked the game very much but when I was about to purchase the full version of the game, my card got rejected but I got charged ₱60. So disappointing ????

I really did love this story I hope we can get a book two real quick because this one was amazing. I do wish there could have been more romance between my character and Adam but I really did enjoy the book and I thank the author for writing it. Now for book two.

I have never actually bought a game off of the play store but after playing the first few chapter of WayHaven I can say as of today I will be buying the rest of the stories. It's honestly an amazing game and one of a kind. Amazing characters and seeing as how I played it multiple times over, just to make sure it would be worth the money, I can say that your choices do matter. Well written, interesting plot, over all a five out five. Would recommend to anyone looking for a play along novel.

It's probably the best story I have read so far. Your choices reflect the character and there's an abundance of love interests (good ones, I might add). Once I was reading it, I didn't put it down. Wish book two was out,

I love it! I've been playing it everyday since I downloaded it. The characters, the story, all the choices and of course - the romance.. it's such a great game. Replaying value is very high (especially for the romance choices for me ;) ) There's going to be six more books, can't wait for them!

This was amazing. I loved how it kept you on your toes. By far the best interactive app I have read yet, and this is just book one, I can't wait to see the next book (if the author continues of course). Keep up the good work!!

A wholly satisfying CYOA that rewards smart choices, but doesn't punish you for the way you develop the main character. That it's only the first volume of the series makes me even more excited for what's to come.
