[Substratum] Sai's Android Oreo Black Theme

Looks nice but has a common Oreo color issue. Cannot read share dialog text, can't read context menu when long press on launcher icons in default Pixel launcher. Issue persists after a reboot and now all notifications are white with grey text. I removed all other themes before applying this one and rebooting.

Great theme! A couple problems with it so far though - some Google News notifications don't seem to have text - I imagine it is displaying black text on the black notification ribbon. Also, the Phone app's voicemail buttons are white without icons, and the transcript is not able to be read. I believe this is the same issue - displaying black text on a black background.

Love the theme so far, only have one problem. On any Gmail notification, the subject is blank. I can see everything else: Gmail in red, the email address, and body preview. This happens whether it's a single email or group of them. Hope it's a a simple fix.

Best free black theme for Oreo currently. It has some issues but most of them are explained by dev that they are due to Oreo limitations. However, I couldn't find this in the known issues - when in call, any number entered in response to automatic voice has the same color as the background and thus are invisible. Dev, please fix this. Thanks.

Pretty good app for those of us stuck on Verizon Pixel with Oreo. Although it would be nice to have the option to have all notifications light, the custom text is broken for more than just a few apps.

Love this theme, just have problem with "reply" button with WhatsApp (black text on black background) even after recent update, not sure if it's only this app (didn't noticed yet). Still will use it

Probably the best app for themeing Android O. I just wish there was a green accent color option

Can't read the options(reply, snooze) etc. in notificationsv with dark them

feedback: white background color and default teal accent color when changing brightness while sliding the brightness slider

Best free pitch black theme. Just one question though, why system update screen is white ? And also when we delete mails from notification then Undo option is not visible? edit: Thank you very much for your reply. If possible try to make Undo button visible in gmail notification. System update screen is not that much necessary. Thank you once again.

Some notifications are completely black with the text hidden. Am I doing something wrong? Rootless on Nexus 6p.

The application title in notifications will take the dominant app color. Things like Google's SMS Messenger are dark blue. The notification title is unreadable for these apps.

Exactly what i want...bare basic Black system theme for Oreo on my Pixel XL. Looks great! Stock not rooted. Andromeda desktop app works fine to enable this.

The theme is nice especially with Oreo. But, I facing issue while changing nav bar it shows variant not installed. Only the default one works

Seems to have worked well on my non root nexus 5x 8.0 oreo. I couldn't stand the oreo white notification tray so this helped a ton!

Very nice... However, the navbar icons are far too big on my N5X. Could be because I'm using the "small" DPI setting.

Love that app, jus was wondering is there a way to have the notification shade black, but the notifications itself white?

Don't have root setup but I'm seeing people are using it on pixel XL without root. So what am I missing

I'm still having some issues with notifications. Specifically with WhatsApp, I can't see the text: "WhatsApp" in the title of the notifications and the sender's name in whatsapp group messages. Otherwise the theme is great

Great theme! Although, using substratum Andromeda gives my nav bar a large-ish feel. When setting the display scale as low as it can go, the navbar icons don't change.

Hangouts has black text on black background on the notification. The sender name is blacked out.

Really good..But still theme doesn't apply for Android Massaging app/google massaging and google contact apps
