Yahoo Aviate Launcher

Very good. There should be an option to backup/restore my settings - especially when you use a lot of URL shortcuts :-) When you create a URL shortcut, you might be given a basic browser icon instead of the relevant favcon for the site, it would be great to be able to long press on the icon and select another icon/favcon from my custom icon set. On the far left, while I can remove some widgets off that cards, I can't add widgets such as a link to Yahoo's soccer website for latest scores.

Best Launcher, hands down. Forget what you know about ANY phone's UI. This beats them all. Everything is organized perfectly. First page, 5 most used icons so you get a nice view of your wallpaper each and every time you unlock your phone. One swipe to the left gives you categories of apps (automatically categorized). Pick the categories and apps you use most. Another swipe left gives you all your apps, organized by alpha, with very visible distinctions between each starting letter. No more clumsy searching of your app drawer for apps. The only suggestion I have is to make the wallpaper page's gesture of swiping down customizable so I can view the notification bar instead of search.

The main concept was good, i liked the time and place dependent widgets and collections. It was ugli. Now it's look great, but stupid. The smart stream isn't smart, no widgets and personalization. I don't like the new concept. With the opportunity to add witdgets and collections to place and time dependent screens, it would be greate again. Until then i remove it. Maybe i will check it later. Maybe.

Aviate is the first launcher application I've used on Android, and I like it enough to say that I'm not going to try any others. It looks professional and makes slick use of Yahoo's applications, such as Yahoo News Digest, Yahoo Weather and Yahoo Mail.

If it make more card, it would be great. Moreover, a small point, I really hate trending on my search bar. I using search bar alot but the suggestion of trending make me angry. Please take it away or put a option to hide it.

Aviate has been my favorite launcher for several years having tested many. Now, however, I find it is not compatible with the ASUS ZenPad S80. Why not?

Not bad to use and some of the favourite features work well, I like the smart stream and the pull up draw for quick actions. However, Yahoo search is, understandably, baked in and this makes it difficult to want to use because I use search so frequently and much prefer Google search.

The best... Actually I had it in my old phone and after a long time I remembered this launcher but had forgotten name... Whose balls did I have to kick to know it name and download.. finally got it.. it's brilliant launcher best ever ☺️☺️

Wonderful n simple. Only sore point on MIUI 8 - Aviate has disabled the feature wherein by sliding down on home screen the Notification panel comes down. It's a very useful feature on bigger devices. Pl fix it..

The notification badge is not working again. Widget page has disappeared. Smart screen for media players has gone missing. Who is the idiot experimenting with this app?

I love the effortless nature of the launcher. It's set up automatically in a few seconds and just works. The only thing keeping me from using this as my daily driver is the lack of landscape orientation.

The layout is fantastic. But please let me choose search engine. The one it uses now gives bad results, Offset images and can't zoom. The usability is very bad and just don't do the job

A bit gutted. Been using this app for ages and for a time it worked on this phone but now I can't set it as default to open. Now I have to click it every time I want it to open. If there is a fix for this, this would be a 5 star app. (HUAWEI P8)

Not sure how I got by so long without this, but I adore it! Made it hard to use my new phone until I installed it again. Lol

Honestly probably the only launcher that doesn't drain battery like he'll and doesn't turn your phone into a frying pan! Plus the '3D Touch' in the newest update is everything I was looking for! Love this launcher!

I had this launcher installed on my xperia z2 and loved it but now in galaxy s7 edge it does not have enough customization... no option is there in settings to set the transparent theme... now it lacks all those features which I loved...

This was my absolute favorite app. Now after the Nougat upgrade Aviate doesn't work at all on my Galaxy S7. Very disappointing. 0 stars at the moment

And now, cards not function more worst it cannot be remove/hidden. Very dissappointed update!

Very original, maybe strange, but very simple. Widgets are bad, because I can't add two or more widgets in one line.

the most awesome launcher ever... thankyou #yahoo for an amazing launcher... i'm so used to it that i've almost forgot that my phone used to have a stock launcher... a proud user since 3 years :) just love it !! keep it up guys

Wish I hadn't had the update lost the widget's page now all the widgets are cramped on home screen.Rubbish.

Good, helpful, useful, easy and best personal assistance. But it needs some improvements like badges are not supporting to my device well. It crashed one time. Overall it is very very best launcher.

It might be more accurate to say I hate HTC's default home screen, but aviate kicks all kinds of butt, especially in comparison. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

I love how it cleans up the morass of bunches of random apps and provides structure when space is at a premium on handheld devices. I couldn't imagine being without it!

I love this launcher. Its always my go to launcher when I switch phones. However on my huawei y6pro now, the wallpaper seems to zoom in after a while automatically. Not able to keep a good wallpaper. It automatically zooms up

I have been using this for last few months and I'm really satisfied.first it crashes a lot but now they have improved very well.

It's designed for US only. Besides cards went to unproductive and useless way.

Overall, I love Aviate. One major omission however, is that there is no way to back up your app settings. Please fix this for five stars.

Very cool BUT it doesn't save your selection and placement of the icons online. So you spend time configuring your preferences and if you use another phone or reset your phone, then you have to do it all over again. Not cool

Now that the smart stream is back (or at least works on my device/Android version) this is back to being my favorite Android launcher, incredible organization and ease of use, looks and works well. Keep it up!

Really really like this Launcher. Updated mine with google voice widget search bar and everything else yahoo. I like it provides 5 icons per line, rather than 4. Big difference for me.

I have used this for awhile. Only complaint I have is not being able to change the lock screen wallpaper anymore. I had to uninstall to get option standard moto phone wallpaper had for changing either or both. Then I could reinstall. Please fix!!!

This launcher should be on the top. Highly recommended for those who wants simplicity and organized screen. Kudos for the collection window where no other launcher had done. Also astonishing with added third party icon packs. 5star for the hard work.

how can I roll back to the previous version? the new update distroyed everything I liked about this launcher.

The stream has absolutely killed the soul of this app and when are they ever going to implement transparent navbar/statusbar?!

Need (1) Lock size of widget past reboots, (2) Keep category open/expanded option, pinned open

I love this launcher. I would say it's my second favorite behind Arrow launcher. I am truthfully torn between the two. This launcher is easy to set up and is feature rich.

This app is amazing but i have a suggestion. Please add more space for widgets as i am not able to add more of them ( there is only 1 page for all that )

They're so concerned with giving you a flashy experience that they lost all functionality.

I love Yahoo Aviate, but I wish I could manually change app icons individually. I know that there a icon packs that I can use but I would lik3 to be able to do it for just one specific app. Like how the Nova and Apex launchers do it. But other than that, Aviate rocks!
