This app is designed in mind for Police Officers, Investigators, Detectives, Security Officers, Correctional Officers, and anyone else in the Security or Law Enforcement field.
Streamline the process of a field interview by having it all in one place! No more taking out a pen, fiddling with paper, or dealing with bad handwriting. Make your phone your own personal office!
Save paper and hassle by compiling good, general information in a nice, central location. For example, do you need to interview four members of a family who just experienced a home invasion AND do you have to take some photos? Well then this app may be just what you need!
By using this app, Police Notes in a situation like this can allow you with ease and simplicity to store the information that you need from each person in a back to back fashion, and at your appropriate time will allow you to take and store images for future analyzing, all in one place!
Police Notes includes the following features:
- Record various information from interviewee(s) such as residency verification, vehicle information, age, height, etc.
- Simple way to label the interviewee(s) as either a suspect, witness, or victim of a crime or situation.
- Export reports in .TXT and .PDF formats. Can be viewed immediately after export.
- Animated screenshots. With one click of a button, this app will automatically scroll through and take screenshots that will encompass the entire report. Useful for sharing with others. *This feature has been temporarily turned off due to code updates.*
- All reports that are successfully saved can be easily viewed and edited from within the app.
- Email integration. In addition to exporting reports, you can also email them from within the app as well! No sign-in required!
- A simple and easy design flow that gets straight to the point.
- Virtually no memory overhead.
- No registration process!
- Small file size.
- Unlimited reports!
- Highly customizable!

How it works: To make a report, press the "new report" button and the screen will automatically slide to a new page with report information for you to fill. Once you are done and happy with the information, you can save the report and then view it by going back to the menu and pressing "load report". You can also export your report as a .TXT or .PDF document or even let the app automatically screenshot it before/after you save it. It's that simple!
To take a picture or mugshot, simply tap the "Add Photos" button under the summary section and tap the box for photo 1. THIS IS IMPORTANT, PLEASE FOLLOW THE PICTURES IN ORDER, DO NOT SKIP A NUMBER OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER GLITCHES IN THAT REPORT!! ALSO, REFRAIN FROM USING THE SAME EXACT REPORT NAME IF YOU ARE TAKING PICTURES BECAUSE ONCE YOU SAVE IT THOSE PICTURES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN (the report won't get overwritten, just the pictures).
If done correctly, these pictures will stay with the report.

JUST REMEMBER, DO *NOT* USE "/" WHEN YOU EXPORT .TXT/, .PDF OR SCREENSHOT BECAUSE IT WILL NOT SAVE. "/" IS USED FOR DIRECTORY PURPOSES, INCLUDING IT WITHIN THE EXPORT/SCREENSHOT TITLE WILL MESS UP THE SAVE PATH, AND THAT IS WHY IT WON'T WORK.

What's Changed

This app has major issues. It fails to load properly on multiple brands of devices. It actually crashed a factory issued Sony Xperia Z3 (D6616) on loading. The user interface, while the user can change the colors, has issues. The developer has tried to make the form responsive to screen size, it comes across as a bloated mess. The attempts to make input easier for the user, actually can be a living nightmare. The form would automatically move to the next field if you accidentally hit the screen. I have yet to find a back button. To be honest, I am always troubled when I see the Unity Engine screen on loading. An app like this doesn't need the overkill, overhead of a library like Unity. I understand that this is a work in progress, and appreciate the developer has not decided to add ads to cover costs.

I love the ability this gives me to take notes about my incidents. However. Can we find a way so i can rotate the info screen to landscape when i rotate my screen???? If so itll get the extra star from me!

This would be a great app, however the developer decided that it would be best to only input data in a specific order. This creates an officer safety issue when you should be looking at the person your dealing with and not your phone. It also will not allow you to input a person's first name unless you can find a way to have your keyboard open as you start a new record. Worthless as it is. 2 Stars as I like the concept.

While filling in the fields, there is a need for a "next" button to move thru the fields. Then loading the saved report, does not work. If these two things were present, this would be an awesome app. After working the developer, I have changed my rating to a five star. Navigating through the fields are easier now that you can hit enter, done or ok; simply put, like hitting tab. Very good job!

Great app. for working in the field with suspects, in addition to this I ask for an update to the app. It was added and I am very much so pleased these guys at sempiternal studios have done an excellent job and I'm hoping they will get us a pro version to this one, ounce again guys thanks for the help to us in the streets. Great app. It may be user error. Where does the report export too? I can't find the report after I push export in any of my files. It's only in the App. Thanks.
