Awesome, just what I need!!!

I code on my tablet while sat in front of the TV. Better github support would be ace, but even so 5 stars.

Now that I bought the Note 3 I can use the device as a app powerhouse. One major improvement would be to have the ability to be able to turn off the keyboard from the application settings for the users that use bluetooth keyboards on devices with larger screens so the on screen keyboard doesn't take away from the experience. Also, I'm not able to get any data-icons to load for jquery mobile. Maybe it's just a bug with the live view and not an actual problem when complied.

I have a project that use Framework7 that can display image from external link, by using the "img src" tag when compiled with Cordova CLI (desktop version of Windows X86 OS). The same project, cannot display the image from external link when compiled with AIDE Phonegap and crash when it reach the page that display the external image. If I edit the index.html to include the content security policy, it doesn't crash, but it doesn't display the external image. Please help.

Didn't bother with phone gap in the end, just used this to compile a simple chrome webview app (chrome webview is built into android from KitKat onwards). Worked a treat! So yeah, does compile Java as well.

What's the point of this IDE if Google Play rejects apps built with it? The reason for rejection is that it needs to get updated to Cordova 3.5.1 that fixes severe security vulnerabilities. The only way to work around this is to re-write huge chunks of your code to use the highly incompatible new Cordova SDK and rebuild it on your own on a computer - thus completely negating any reason to use this IDE to code on your phone. I have wasted months of my free time on a project that I must now abandon

Finally this update fixed the aapt error on Android 5.0, let me see if I could upload on Google Play.

M70%

Love this app. Just wondering when you'll update this with the new phonegap version? Thanks for all your hard work.

M70%
by M####:

I went to publish my app on Google Play and it said, "Your app submission has been rejected because it contains security vulnerabilities, which is a violation of our dangerous products policy. If the uploaded APK was an app update, the previous version is still available on Google Play. More details about this rejection have been emailed to the account owner."

Waiting for version 6 compatibility so I can develop on nexus 7. Then I'll give stars!

I love the layout, it is easy to use and very fluid. So far so good! 4stars since I am just starting with it, but cant complain yet.

I've been working on a project using this application as my IDE of choice, using only PhoneGap and the Crafty JS game engine/library. Everything is working nicely and writing code with my phone's default software keyboard and the shortcuts to commonly used characters has actually been more fun than using some of the tools I code on my PC with. No need to carry my laptop everywhere now. :) Looking forward to more features/updates!

N70%
by N####:

But not willing to invest my own time to test. Has the new update fixed the issue with publishing to Google Play? PhoneGap was updated?

Why not include all AIDE functionality? Like java code autocomplete. It can be good for hybrid apps development. I don't mind to pay for it.

The Cordova version used is old, and there's no way to upgrade it. After repeated inquiry about appfour updating the app I've received no reply. Google is no longer accepting apps made with the out of date version of Cordova used by this app. Still a great IDE as long as you don't plan to distribute your app on the Google Play Store.

I was super excited to see that there was a Cordova version of this app, having purchased the android version a long time ago. Simple apps are pretty easy to get up and running. But for serious development on the go there are a few more things I would love to see. 1. Integration of bower package management. I don't hardly do anything with Web Development without bower, and bringing in third party Javascript libraries is tedious at best. 2. Git providers other than github please. 3. Starting a new project based one of the thousands of seed repositories on github. Clone the repo then make it mine (on bitbucket). There's no other way to get something serious done quickly. 4. Ionic integration would be really cool, but perhaps impractical on this platform.

There seems to be a bug in the JavaScript Syntax Checker of the AIDE Phonegap edition. If an object uses or redefines a reserved word for some other purpose than is defined in the standard, the syntax checker shows this as an error, when in fact it's allowed. This means that some third party libraries that actually run perfectly well are shown to have a lot of errors. The application compiles and runs fine. However this problem floods own ones own errors during development. It would be nice to be able to redefine this behaviour or at least have the option for the IDE to ignore certain groups of files (e.g. known good third party libraries). Since this is a developer tool - I would like to see better support - such as bug trackers and so on.

Can't compile my project because some of Polymer's libraries have "JavaScript errors" even though it works perfectly fine everywhere else. Why is there no "ignore errors" function? I paid for this, I want it to work or I want a refund! Been a few months since I contacted the developer and I've gotten no response.

How to upgrade to latest version of Cordova. Google play says current version is not safe. I have sent an e-mail to fourapp also, but not have received any reply yet. If this problem get sorted out. I will change my rating.

The PhoneGap/Cordova version used is old, and there's no way to upgrade it because Apache changed the way they distribute it. After repeated inquiry about appfour updating the app I've received no reply. Google is warning everyone with an app posted on Google Play Store made with this that the Cordova version has security flaws and your app may be removed from the store in the future. This was a great app. :-( Still is as long as you don't plan to distribute your app on the Google Play Store.
