dB Sound Meter/Noise Detector is a noise meter application that detects the surrounding sound intensity of the environment and the volume of surrounding in the form of decibel dB. It is carefully calibrated with the knowledge of sound engineering to get the actual precise sound level value of the surrounding environment with precision calculation of peak value over time and rms values. The application consists of an averaged calculated value of noise level (shown in middle) and the raw value in the rounded indicator to process the precise value as a voice meter.
This application can be used as a decibel meter or sound meter to gain the loudness of the environment together with precise user experience and color indicator. It is a very light weight and small size application with the least resources used and simplest yet effective user interface that is colourful and tells users precisely the surrounding noise and useful in detecting loud voice and loud sound.
You can use this to measure a dog bark noise level, measure snoring sound noise level or even test how loud is your voice level or how loud when someone speak to calibrate your voice and noise intensity to deliver a better and more comfortable sound level to people and useful when you are practising for presentation. It maximises the best out of the microphone of your smart devices and since it is calibrated to cater for human voice, it has limitation to detect very loud noise but it is sufficient enough for daily and normal usage.

I just wish the user had an option to set an indicator if the sound gets to loud... so as a teacher I can say you're talking to loud, the decibel detector shows...

It wants your location, information about apps and the device, it was detected as malware by Comodo Mobile Security and it uses push ads. Guess what else? The app itself doesn't even work! Other sound apps work on my device so it's not a compatibility issue.

It just kept jumping between ~70 and ~40 db, even if there was a loud voice nearby.

OMG IS THIS A JOKE?!!!! GOD YOU "ALMOST" GOT ME. ....wait.....its not??? WELL then is the worst db meter I've ever seen such a waste it just keeps on switching between 30 to 70 ish. Sucks!!!! DONT DOWNLOAD IT!!!! says it's at 30 db with music that hurts your ears.

This is good but it should also record the sounds that is being detected so we could easily identify the kind of sound it produced.
