Flashlight Free: No Permissions

This app is really nice. It's a simple flashlight that turns on upon opening, can switch on/off, bright white screen option, and best of all: requires only necessary permissions. It does not work in the background/with screen off, but I'd have no use for it that way. If you need a flashlight for a long time, use a real one; your phone's light is not meant to stay on for extended periods.

On and off process took way to long, which lead me to spam the on button which broke the app. Consider adding a disabled feature when user is spaming your on/off button. Otherwise it works* but could give issues down the line. I have a galaxy s4, using latest jelly bean update

Im not sure about this app. I like that the permissions are low, but, under read more it lists like 258kb, which is reasonable. But after download it registers approx 128mb. Im no mb genius, but i do know that my other phone has snoopwall privacy light and it has 244kb. I cannot find snoopwall anymore in playstore, although it still works on my other phone. I just dont like this apps variation foreal. Uninstalling.

Before installing any flashlight app check the permissions and size of file. This file is 295k. Others are as much as 6m. All that extra file size is spying on you and serving ads. It works and I am happy to pay the small amount asked for the pro version.

It's not working in background?!! Please add this feature otherwise it's useless. Also add a switch in notification bar so that we can turn it off directly from the notification bar. Then sure 5 star rating.

This app is broken on my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and when I open the app for the first time the flash comes on by default. When I tap the flashlight button on the phone to turn it off it does. However when I tap it again to turn it back on nothing happens. I have to close and reopen or minimize and go full screen again to get it to work. Seems like 4.0 is free for this reason and if you want a working version (4.1) it will cost you a dollar. Oh well. You get what you pay for or lack of pay for.

Your current permissions are suspicious. Why does a flashlight need my GPS? This app has started turning on without my choice, burning through battery power and overheating phone. Dangerous!

THANK YOU. This app only takes up 1.5 mb of space! All the other flash light apps would take up 20 to 25+. Why should an app that accesses your phones flash take up that much space?

Last flashlight I installed was a damn spyware app... This is straight and to the point... Isn't trying to give you a virus...

First off, it doesn't need any unnecessary permissions. Second, it gives you a very simple interface to turn on the LED or the screen, and that's about all anyone needs

The app is as advertised...... it reads nothing on your phone. Why would a flashlight need to know where you are, look at your pictures and want your contacts?

This is the best flashlight ap. No ads, no permission, and has from and back flashlights. I am so glad I found one that woks. Thank you!!!

Minimal permissions excellent light two lighting options. What's not to love?

HAS FRONT AND BACKLIGHT. Only negative thing is... It won't stay on if you exit the app. . You have to leave the app on flashlight for it to stay on.

I absolutely am a fan of tech with a few minimalistic features and this is the best I have found as for easy breezy looking for keys in bottom of purse in the dark whilst w as l.p. king at night no matter what absolutely zero complications with this app no ads simply a flashlight that has two options. Well done to this developer simple is sometimes the best go figure.

Thanks for this wonderful app but when I turn off the flashlight through the app the flashlight won't turn back on. I would have to quit the app and open it again (icon changes only). Anyways I only use this app no matter what, this is a small bug but I can live with it because this app Is awesome!!!!

Humberto you sir ROCK... micro memory footprint + no unnecessary permissions + functions as well or better than ANY other bloated f/l app. I will immed pay the $1 for "Pro" to support your service. One suggestion....would love a widget, would make it even simpler. Many thanks bro

This app only asks for permissions to your camera for the led light on your phone and that's it! simple easy to use and nothing else like ads and the best part is having peace of mind knowing that your/my privacy is respected period

I have no idea why this is rated lower than the other flashlights that steal your personal info. No BS, lightweight, fully functional flashlight. The best.

Used to use Privacy Flashlight. But they have ballooned from under 300KB like this one to 1.85MB with new available "pro" features and desired permissions... K.I.S.S.. uninstalled them and went with this app. Stay small people.

It's completely simple and stripped down. Most of the flashlight apps just try to hack your phone and take up space. This does neither.

I've tried a lot of higher rated apps with ads, but none of them were as stable and reliable as this one. Simple and reliable.

The latest improvements fixed an issue with the flash light turning off by itself. The two new buttons for screen access work great!
