ShieldMyTeen Parental Control

My daughter simply turns phone on and off, then Sheild My Teen disables and does not enable when phone turns on. So each time a teen wants to go on a blocked site, they do this and then manually turns App back on. This way the parent is none the wiser! Also Sheild My Teen can be easily disabled by the teen by deactivating in manage administrator first!

This app is NOT worth paying for. Photos still show when searching porn and I have found my son easily turns off the app without notification to me. No matter how much I confiscate turn back on set blockers he is still able to turn app off. Therefore no tracking usage and no blocking. Need an app that works!

It's way too easy to get around porn blocks! Images do not get blocked. Frustrating. Does block specific apps, like Snap (which I take away on occasion for bending rules).

I only downloaded this app to write a review. If you want to damage your relationship and lose your teens trust forever this is the app to download. If you are monitoring their every move and watching who they are texting you are being too controlling and they won't trust you with the things you want them to tell you. If you have a good relationship with your teen they will tell you everything you are worried about. My mom gives me my freedom and I tell her everything I want to and she respects I need my privacy. I have a fantastic relationship with her.

Good app but with a few bugs. You can bypass the filtering by 2 ways. one is opening the link in a new tab. the second way is by clicking the link then immediately hitting the tabs button(to view all tabs) on the upper right hand corner. fix these issues and i will rate 5 stars

This app has ok monitoring but it doesn't lock the settings app so anyone can get in and change the settings. It's not customizable like I would like as far as what is blocked and not blocked. It can lock apps but it doesn't monitor app use. Does a great job at monitoring texts and calls, and has relatively aggressive Web blocking. I just need something a little more.

Paid for the premium version as I had great first impressions. Can't get it working now though. It won't give me any web history or anything. I have emailed for help. Doesn't seem as simple as I first thought.

This stupid app is not working at all.my niece can get pass the block.If she can so can my dumb boyfriend.Fix it or take it off.

Terrible app! Worked for a while but since the app 'updated' (ha!) what I'm setting on parental controls is not being mirrored on my son's phone. Help centre people are useless.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Blocked apps still run and there's no logging if web activity even after effecting the right settings.

When it works it fab but there are a few times where it doesn't work at all and anything can be accessed! Can this be sorted please?!

You need to put the app as a devise administrator on tablet and phone. They cant change or bypass that.

Internet filtering only for paid members.

Oh man this app is amazing! you're always worried about your your child and what they're doing, No longer will you have to with "Shield My Teen"! Be in complete control of all their devices with this app. It allows you to: Monitor activity, wether surfing the web or apps. Filter and block content, set time limits for usage you can even create a list of safe and emergency contacts to ensure your children aren't making unsafe calls. Best of all YOU have control for each child/device.

With this app the is no need to look over your child's shoulder to monitor what they are doing. You can block apps on the device as well as internet content. The device can lock to prevent unauthorized actions yet your child can still use it to call home with the 'safe number' feature,

As we all know, it's hard keeping up with our kids and their activity! Luckily, this app eliminates all of those worries. You easily view your child's activity, and place restrictions as needed on the device. Never worry if your child us up to no good anymore! High recommend and user friendly!

You can block Apps but all you have to do is uninstall the app that is blocked and redownload it. Then you have access to it again. Defeats the purpose of what the app claims it can do. If this app could prevent you from deleting a blocked app, I would rate it higher. Now I have to upload a different app blocker for that specific reason. Also, it does not block inappropriate images.

Seems to work well! No need for a separate browser. My wife has the password. Only thing is, doesn't block Google Image search results... Or even Twitter search results/content. Hope you can fix that

It works perfectly for the sites I need blocked. However, since it's been downloaded my messaging app has been all sorts of screwed up. Can anyone else confirm this correlation?? While I'm very happy with the performance overall, I'm very worried about the fact I can't text

It's so crappy. I can visit any crappy website and watch 14+ rated stuff but I can't listen to music? It keeps showing laggy pop up if you open wrong thing. Plus, it's so easy to delete, you don't need any password etc.

I chose what I believed to be a reliable app based on the reviews to help put my girlfriends mind at ease, turns out I made the wrong choice. After paying you people your money it was discovered that not only could one just download another browser(puffin etc) where nothing was blocked at all, but even on chrome it was easy to bypass your block. After clicking "close" you return to your opened windows and repeat twice and voila, your kid and or significant other has reached the masturbation station.

I'm actually a teen myself but I am an addict when it comes to... X rated content, I've been trying to get better and an app like this is really helpful! Only problem is, you have to buy the full version!? I'm a broke teen girl, what am I supposed to do. I can't go to my mom, she'll blow the whole thing out if proportion and telling anyone else would be embarrassing. This is all a personal problem but, there should be a free version.

As a parent, you're always going to be worried about your children and what they're doing, who they're with, and where they are, etc. This app really will help any parents with those common worries, I thought it was pretty helpful for my daughter. :) I would recommend trying it, to any parent, mother or father.

I tried a inappropriate search myself, while it blocked initially, when I came back to internet search I saw many inappropriate videos pop up.

I downloaded for my mom, because I didn't want to feel an urge to get on anything bad, and we had a debate on it in one of my classes. Pretty useful actually.

I actually installed this because I am a gamer and I get a lot of smut stuff popping up at times. Anyone who has gotten a popup knows how easy it is to accidentally touch it to open it while trying to hit that little X. With some of the stuff that comes up, who knows what you can get on your phone, viruses, malware, ransomware even. So I installed Shield My Teen and started playing a couple of the games I play and I notice right away that I have fewer popups period, but the ones that are coming up are regular stuff. None of the scantily clad bouncing boobs or bottoms in my face. So yeah, I have to give this five stars, because I figure if I had little kids around, I definitely wouldn't want them looking at that!

This totally helped me control my kids' access to sites they shouldn't see yet. So many sites to think of on your own, this takes the worry away!

It blocked when i search porn but when i tried some other local porn sites it not works and in search nude shows all the images on google so its useless and also if i use dolphin browers it doesnt restricts i m able to acess everything on it
