This is the free-to-try version. It allows you to make sure your lock can be opened with Lock Hero before purchasing. If your lock is supported, you can unlock the full version directly from within the app. Be precise when entering the stops, or Lock Hero may think your lock isn't supported when it actually is!
Combination locks are a great way to keep personal belongings safe. Unfortunately, the combination is sometimes lost or forgotten. Sometimes, this leads to perfectly good locks being tossed away. Other times, the lock must be destroyed to gain access. In the past, recovering a forgotten combination would have required the services of a professional locksmith. Lock Hero allows regular people to recover their lost or forgotten combination themselves. The lock can be saved and reused. Plus, there's no need to pay for the services of a professional.
The standard combination padlock has a 40-position dial requiring users to enter three values. If a person were to search for the combination by testing all 64,000 possibilities, it would take a very long time. Fortunately, the popular brand's combination locks have a mechanical flaw. This allows Lock Hero to narrow down the number of possibilities to 99. There are two steps to the process, and the entire procedure should take less than one half-hour. With experience, most locks can be opened in less than 15 minutes.

The app is designed for Master locks. Most of them have 12 numbers. However, using the numbers from 2 of my personal locks and one from a friends lock of which I picked earlier, I got "Stops Error". The app is nice to mark the stops so you can solve in your head the combo, just not good to actually help you get the combo. Faster to use a paper. Thank you for your time

Its says locks "typically" have 12 stops that's not true mine at school only has 3 it should let you put in the amount of numbers you need so maybe whoever made this should take note and fix it. Also I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I was very skeptical about this, but I followed the instructions. The first attempt at putting in the lock points resulted in an error. I went back and refined my points till there was no error and payed the $1.99. About 1/3 of the way through the list the lock opened. Great app.

Tried this free version, had to tweak my stops a bit for it to not say "stops error" which should've been my first clue that this wasn't going to work for me, but I purchased the paid version just out of desperation and that didn't work either. Oh well. To Walgreens I go!

I want to tell you all I had all ready researched the math before I found this app but I was having a hard time to figure out the first step and once I seen this app wanted me to buy it I know I had my 12 stop numbers I was able to do the rest of the math shown on youtube videos so I am so glad I found this app so hero lock way to go far ya I love ya if I had a job I would by it I will buy it you all will be the first app I buy be proud of yourselves great app great work

This will not work if your dial stops when the shackle is pulled on. YouTube has multiple videos which will teach you to open it in a few minutes without trying 100 combinations, and involves no math or paid apps.

Given combinations were not even in the ballpark, thank god I did not try them all! Found a video that demonstrated how to simply remove the backplate without destroying the lock instead. Done in minuets.

Works perfectly.. Their is a you tube video that shows u how to do this but the app takes all of the writing and calculations out of it. Got in like the 12th choice.. Pretty cool
