The app could be much better at picking the prominent colors in a photo. I put in a photo that's mainly blue but with a yellow moon, and it will only create a blue palette. My biggest suggestion would be to be able to hand pick colors from the spectrum image that's generated. I initially thought that's what it was for, but it's essentially pointless as it is.

For capturing the palettes of natural settings for use in digital designs, this is one of the best apps I have ever found. I love that you have the option to adjust colours to be perfect, then export the results in a range of formats - nothing beats it so far. I would like to have the option to select what colours the app works with as key/s, but failing that, it's very handy indeed.

This is ace! Ever since Adobe Ideas sadly closed, I've been seeking a good pallet generator. So far this one hits the spot. Would be good if you could also choose the pallate by touching the photo as well as automatic generation, but the color edit feature is nice.

Really >> REALLY EVERY TIME << need an 'exclude white' button to stop from it from wasting a slot by selecting the not even part of the bleeping picture its the background. And when i hit on the spectrum i expected it to pick up the colour to place it in exchange of the colour i didn't want. And i really want more than five colours. ????????????

Its really silly though that you'd pay for the different layouts and the rest of what the app has to offer.

Super easy to use. Great for designing or just to see a picture broken down into color elements.

J70%
by J####:

Excellent app to discover the real colors around us. I have two development ideas : first is the app could suggest further colors which fit into the Palette, second: built in conversation tool e.g. from hex values to HSL or CMYK.

C70%
by C####:

Alright. Only thing is it won't let me choose a picture from my gallery?

Q70%
by Q####:

The app technically picks colors from the picture, but doesn't seem to weight them at all based on their proportions in the picture. A field of pink and purple tulips provided a navy, hunter green, and brown palette because of infinitesimal specks of those colors somewhere in the picture. And this is the paid version.

... But every thing except for basics is PRO. That's bad. I have to pay for any other thing than the basics. Otherwise it would have got 5 stars from me.

Upgraded and then it says it can't offer any of the options I just upgraded for. Even can't offer schemes from the patterns saved from it. Hmmm not happy

C70%
by C####:

There aren't enough options to mess around with in either the free or premium versions (I refunded the $4 pro version after about 10 minutes because the additional color rules repeatedly declined to apply due to being too similar) - I have a huge collection of wallpaper apps, icons and photo/art editor apps and love to try out new designs frequently and and this would be an amazing tool for this - but needs a lot more than it currently has, especially at $3.99 a pop. I look forward to future updates ☺

This is fantastic! Great for in-progress art where you need a second opinion on what colours to use or focus on. Snap a pic and away you go!

I love it WHEN IT FREAKING WORKS. More than half of the time it refuses to let me use the app.

T70%
by T####:

Very useful, but some pictures make the app crash every time. Also, I'd like to be able to share pictures to the app.

V70%

It quits half the time. Only gives a palette of 5 cord and isn't very accurate.

T70%
by T####:

I run a palette blog and I decided I needed to have something on my phone (when I dont have my other devices) unfortunately you have to pay to be able to export the palettes plus u can't organize and move colors once the palette is made its kind of annoying but its an OK app

A few people knock this app about small things. Its a great app. And it functions without hesitation. Great work.

Z70%
by Z####:

Using photos to make pallettes is genius. However, it would be much better if you could manually select a few colors to generate a pallette, or rather edit camera-captured colors to match the ones you really see and generate a new pallette.

Alright. Only thing is it won't let me choose a picture from my gallery?

This app is an excellent tool for me, as a student of webdesign who needs to come up with color palette's.

I like the way it's very easy to get started generating colors from a photo and to export it in a few ways. It feels like more is possible but I have yet to explore the app fully.

I have had so much fun creating colour palettes for my clothing line.

S70%
by S####:

While I am pleased with the results. I would appreciate the option of a border-less final render, or at least a white(instead of the black) or if the palette can be embedded in the photo itself. Also the app tag should be optional for the paid version. Thanks.

The idea using a photo is good but I would also like to see the following features added for 5 stars: 1. Direct manual input of HEX/RGB/HSB values (now very difficult using the sliders) - 2. To be useable without a photo or image e.g. to calculate the complementary color(s) according to the above mention manual input. With just these two modifications it would be a great tool for photographers and designers. Please consider for an update - I would be willing to pay 5 Euro for such a professional tool :-)

K70%
by K####:

The extra 'pro' features don't work on almost any of the pictures I have tried it on. What a waste of money!

K70%
by K####:

Unfortunately, my gallery app always comes up blank even though there's lots of photos on my device. This means I can't get those images. Their needs to be an option that allows us into the system folder view to select an image.

If works good, but the learning curve takes a little time.

It generates complete color circle. However, gives only 5 color palette. It's kind of trial software. Most features are for paid version.
