About Radon - Share using Ultrasound

WHY BEAM TO ONE PERSON AT A TIME?
Skip QR codes or NFC, Radon lets you share to everyone nearby, as long as you have the app open. As soon as they open Radon on their device, they'll automatically open whatever you shared, on as many devices as you want.

WHY FUMBLE WITH CODES AND PAIRING?
Radon uses your sensors to broadcast links, so you don't need to pair or tap. As long as the other device is nearby, Radon just works.

NO NFC? NO PROBLEM.
Radon uses sensors you already have, and everyone else has including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ultrasound. It does everything automatically, so all you have to do is tap share.

Love the idea to cast things to freinds nearby but it doesn't allow me yo choose which freinds instead it blasts all my freinds near by. Also the fact that i have to have the app open to receive the app is not cool and easy to use. Also i can't see sending anything but YouTube or web urls. You can't even send a picture. They should just make all Android cast to each other like Chromecast style.

I thought that the idea of sharing files through sound was a cool idea. That is until I booted up the app. All I could hear was a high pitched buzzing sound, that gave me a headache, made me dizzy, and made my ears ring for the next 20 minutes. On top of that, the file transfer would not even work. I would stay far far away from this app.

I don't understand why people rating it bad for network permission and not able to send multimedia files from this app.. If you don't know this app uses Google Nearby API. And this needs active internet connection. And This can only share small bits of data while multimedia files contains large amount of bits so it's not possible for now. To developer, Great concept and most useful to me if you add a functionality to select the receiver because it beams the link to all the folks who have opened the app. And yeah best of luck for further updates.. Hoping the mentioned functionality in further update. Thanks.

You know, it's cool. I know you guys are the first ones to use the ultrasound api, but I prefer using zapya or shareit. At least they are offline. I hate the apps that can do their job without network connection but request network connection to operate.

Both my OnePlus 2 and my father's Moto G 1st Gen works. Not able to send anything. Photos, files in ES File Explorer, nothing. Good thinking but not working. Will sure change the stars once it is rectified.

No permissions asked in Marshmallow. Crashed each time I tried sharing a file. And also, only supported txt files, while for others there was no option of sharing via Radon.

W70%

This app uses Nearby which is provided by Google Play Services, but the app never prompts to enable nor give permission to use Nearby on the Nexus 6P.

Supports only text file and even then crashes. Needs MORE work

Specific: 1. This way of sharing shares to everyone with no control over it. 2. Requires a data connection. 3. No option to kick the person trying to get your stuff. 4. No option to have a password for anyone who tries to view your content. To the developer, I suggest you look at the app called Xender. That app does what yours should have been

Works really well and I have experienced no problems. Don't like how everyone requires the app to send but still really good!

I was really glad when i saw the app in playstore and read the description and seriously exitied to use this.. but i tried to connect it with certain devices with different android versions and different manufacturers.. but got the same results.. not connecting with other devices..!!!

Serious health and phone or tablet damage can be caused. The ultra sonic transmission causes the devices speakers to snap, crackle, and pop, and if that happens could blow out the speakers and other internal components and also cause permanent hearing damage... Seriously.. Like eating rice krispies amplified. Use at your own risk!

Great Concept, Good Idea, And a very great work. Why don't you make it cross platform. Like on Windows

In moto g3 app need always active Internet. And when this app select for share, that time automatically Bluetooth connection switched on.

... which means you have to shout to the other person, "Hey, stop what you're doing and open Radon, I'm sending you something" - so what is the advantage?

K70%
by K####:

Great concept for sharing links. Those people trying to share pictures/files this just isn't possible using Google Nearby, it's meant for small bits of data only.

K70%
by K####:

All your apps are overall great. But not so many know about them. You need to step up your game. Greeting from vn

K70%

Didn't show up as a share option, even after a reboot. It did request Internet access when my tablet wasn't connected to the net.

W70%
by W####:

This won't replace Bluetooth or WiFi transfer, but who cares ? Ultrasound for the win !

I70%
by I####:

No option to share. The only.time i can share is directly in the app to another device with the app already installed. No other app has the option to share using this. Tried 5 different apps with share option.

K70%

YouTube links work fine but can't share data like images etc with it... Is it not supported?

K70%
by K####:

Will follow it's progress closely. This thought has potential to grow. 4 * for the thought and will increase it 5 * on complete functionality.

I checked with a spectrum analyser with high frequency app, it s flat no spike. This app only use Wi-Fi/bt to share stuff, same as a lot of apps. Nice design though.

K70%
by K####:

The way it can be even better - to be able to share files via BT or WiFi direct

K70%
by K####:

It's extremely simple & it works. What more could you ask for?!

In moto g3 app need always active Internet. And when this app select for share, that time automatically Bluetooth connection switched on.

Doesn't come up in share menu, android 6.0.1, works only with youtube links

K70%

I tried several apps. In some of them one can see Radon to share, in others can not. Fix this please.

K70%
by K####:

But it will be even better with option always-on scanning for beaming

K70%
by K####:

Don't work with Solid Explorer...

K70%
by K####:

It's always need an active Internet connection to work.. Bad. Why? & only link is sharable. Wtf
