Ingress WakeLock

No longer works on marshmallow. Not sure if an ingress update broke it or its just plain incompatible with Android 6. Doesn't keep the screen on no matter what

Let's me tuck my phone into a pocket between hacks leaving my hands free while traveling between tricky portals without the annoyance of screen lock my scanner is right there ready for me when I need it!

Since the last update it won't keep my screen on anymore

Keeps the GPS locked, but the display will still lock and turn off after a minute.

Vanilla S5. No tweaks. Sometimes the wakelock fails and the programmed screen dim cuts in. I can't work out why.

This app is phenomenal! I used to use it all the time for Ingress, but now Pokemon Go needs this too! Could you expand the functionality of this app or maybe make a new one? Thanks so much!

Would really love an update to this app. I am now on a Nexus 6 and doesn't work. Screen timeout always happens. Sprint Galaxy Note II - Love this app. Use this on any device I play. Yes the risk is the screen burn in but that has nothing to do with the app. The app does what it needs to do.

This worked great on my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. Unfortunately, it does NOT work on my new Motorola Droid Turbo 2.

Does not work on Android 5.0 L. Was good on 4.4.

Was great while it worked. Stopped functioning on HTC One(m8) after upgrading to android 6 / Marshmallow. As others have noted: It's been years since wakelock was updated, so I doubt we'll see any future fixes. A shame, that.

Keep It Simple & Straightforward. Does what it is up for and does it good. We should have more applications developed on the same principles like this. Thanks for developing / maintaining it!

As previously mentioned this app is seriously out of date and doesn't work on the Galaxy S6, shame because it would be very useful if it did. App was last updated in 2013 so I suspect another update will not be forthcoming.

Haven't seen any benefit using this app. Doesn't keep screen awake, doesn't keep gps active, doesn't keep ingress running in the background. What was this app for again?

Doesn't work when AUTO SLEEP is selected on HTC One.

It doesn't work with Galaxy 6 phone. It doesn't maintain a constant "on" status after the Ingress app is closed. It used to do that for the Galaxy 5.

Good for collecting xm while driving and not touching phone.

9 times out of 10 using Stop Service doesn't work and I have to force close the process. Everything else works fine.

It keeps the screen active while ingress is running. Works Perfectly. To close the task, open the "Ingress Wakelock Settings" app and there is a button that will kill the service. I personally would prefer the notification to be clickable, and an option box pop up saying "do you want to stop the Wakelock service", and/or possibly a setting where you can say "stop wakelock service when GPS times out" But otherwise, the app is very simple and user friendly.

Keeps my screen from locking and me having to wait for the game to load again when I travel between portals.

I use this app to keep screen on and gps stable while playing, but *need* for ingress to stop when I'm done. App's "exit service" used to work, now doesn't. Have to reboot to get ingress to let go of ram. Not acceptable. Uninstalled. Nexus S 4.1.2

I used to run my tracks in the background. This is much better.

Many times you have to force close it to end it.. the stop option only shows up sometimes in the notifications pull down menu

Need to turn off sleep or set it to a longer value - say 30 minutes! This app does not prevent phone from going to sleep after this period!
