About Action Camera Extension
This is the official Sony Camera shutter application for your Sony SmartWatch 2, SmartBand™ SWR10 and SmartBand™ Talk SWR30.
With this app, you can control the shutter of your Action Cam and other cameras from Sony from a distance of up to 30 feet/10 meters. Take pictures using your SmartWatch, SmartBand™ or SmartBand™ Talk. You can also start and stop the video function in selected Sony camera models.
To use this app extension, you must have Smart Connect and/or the dedicated Sony app for your smart accessory installed on your Android smartphone or tablet.
When you have installed this app, it will not appear on your home screen. Instead, in case you are using SmartBand™ or SmartWatch 2 it will be integrated into Smart Connect. Smart Connect app from Sony required. In case of using SmartBand™ Talk, it will be integrated into the SmartBand™ Talk dedicated Sony app. SmartBand™ Talk dedicated Sony app required.

I have a Sony Smartband Talk SW30 and if you tap the phone as per the instructions, it does not find the camera on the phone. It says you must be connected to wifi (which I am anyway) and does absolutely nothing

I can't find the app after installing it. It's not listed on my phone. I had the same problem with another Sony app, though that one I could tap "open" from the Google Play page. Not so on this one. Sony, how do I take a picture with my new a5000 camera by using my phone as a remote? I'm using an S5.

The stupid app wouldn't even open.After instalation it gives you the choice to uninstal, you can't open the app in the play store, sony is a great company, but this app needs alot more work!

Almost useless. IF you can get a connection, it takes forever. Once you have a connection to your camera, you need to leave the phone screen on. It gobbles battery from every device connected. Start/stop command are slow. I can't imagine a time when this would be useful. I want to use the Smartband to start and stop recording of my Sony action camera on my motorcycle helmet. This software is too cumbersome to be of any use.
